then there’s no game for many many many light years. Actually so many light years, it doesn’t even matter if GW2 is on the second place…
I have played WoW, Terra, Aion and Lotro
Fav thing about Aion … insta dead unless wearing all magic resist.
I also don’t complain about classes, I rework my build. ATM I can fight minon masters and condition necros. Eventally they kill me, but I can fight them off long enough for them to get bored or help to arrive.

Hey, my Spiritmaster didn’t weae any magic resist because I needed those slots for magic accuracy to counter all the magic resist around!
And I didn’t drop dead on the spot either. Mostly thanks to my team mates who made sure to peel of damage from me and dispel the negative stuff :p
It was such a nice team synergy we had. Good days it was :’(

And then money hunger, pve heroes and so called “casuals” kicked in…here we have the result..
Why should we accept the poor state of gw2 just because wow is worse (wich is something that is hardly true)?
I mean, thank Anet just because gw2 is not as bad as wow? is that what you look for in an mmo?

Poor state? No. The game is great!
Does it have flaws? Yes. What game doesn’t?
Is the game worth it? HELL YES. Also, no monthly subscriptions.
As me thanking Anet, it’s not because it’s “not as bad as” other MMOs.
I’m thanking them for doing something about it. The massive imbalance of the current Necro is a result of exactly that. They attempted to buff the Necro to be on par with other classes and overshot. Not out of spite or any personal vendetta against the general player, but because of a mistake, which they are trying to fix.
That is why we show appreciation, because they do their best to fix everyone’s complaints and still don’t ask anything in return.
Do you have any idea how huge this game is? Do you know how much work it is just to keep a game like this running, not even considering the new content every 2 weeks? Which you get for FREE by the way.
My personal opinion? Yes, constructive criticism is good. But if you find the game poor and unplayable, nothing is stopping you from playing something else.
Also, contrary to popular belief, there’s nothing wrong with appreciating the game and what ANet is doing for it’s community.
once again:
people who played gw1 vs rest of world that has no idea what good pvp looks like
We already thanked ANet by buying the game. That means we trust them, and we like something of the game.
because he doesn’t know it himself
People who played GW1 are well aware of classes going in and out of favor, all the time. Assassins used to drop off the face of the earth more or less and then pop back up 6 months later with a balance patch.
Honestly nothing really feels different from GW1, other than (excusing last patch) unexciting balance patches. Which is kind of disappointing given they have a smaller scope to worry about in terms of skill #.
Secondly its funny because there is a trend when something gets broke for people to adamantely defend it to the death. Probably 60% of the Necros trying to tell people to be quiet will be complaining as soon as another profession is shot upwards.
Who cares about the state of WoW. MMO PvP is generally crap, if GW2 wants to excel itself pass that stereotype it’s balance comparison isn’t going to be WoW which fits the stereotype.
I would like to see the /age of all the people who dislike the game so much now but still consistently post on the forums. Because I want to know if they got their $40-$60 worth at least.
these gw1 posts are getting annoying.
It was so much harder to get into serious pvp in gw1. First newcomers had to spent countless hours farming skills in random arena which similiar to hot join, doesnt teach the skills needed for gvg/hoh.
Then if they wanted to do something else they had to find a guild dedicated to newcomers so they could rank up in HoH otherwise no one would have picked them.
BEST PVP SYSTEM
U have 2 classes that need to be babysit
Buff the 1 class , trying to make more roundout balanced , while the other trying to follow the old theory of high damage/low survibility or low dps/high surv + based on their class charactericts (there must be only 1 truly king of condtions!!!! ).
Use test subject called people and see their reaction , what direction they love and laugh :P

This is very true! I would’ve guessed at least 80%
I, being a Necro myself, want them to nerf it a little bit. For those who play PvP a lot, you should know how much of it has been overrun by Necros since the patch.
4-5 Necro teams in tPvP wiping everything in their path without any resistance.
I think a lot of the Necros out there are just afraid of being at the “bottom” again for so long.
I for one don’t know what they mean by that, I did well in PvP with my Necro well before the patch. I could win 90% of my 1v1 matches without problems, even some 2v1 fights. Now the Necro is overpowered, I’ll even go as far as saying it’s the new faceroll class, at least until the next patch.
