Only slightly frustrating that they don’t learn from their past mistakes of leaving the meta alone for months with no balance. When the “Dhuumfire” meta was rampant and no changes happened alot of the population quit the game. Seeing as we aren’t getting another balance patch until March and other problems which haven’t gotten a response from Anet (retroactive rewards for veteran players, skyhammer removal from solo queue) the population will drop again unless Anet wants to troll pve people again by adding more achievements again which returns to frustrating veteran players with bad matchmaking due to new players being placed at a high mmr.

I think all you said is pretty much vain, think about it :P

Everything but the hidden meaning is vain.

G – ame modes add variety to a game. Player vs point isn’t fun because it just rewards bunkers.
W – arriors healing signet is just broken and they won’t fix it for another 4-5 months.
2 – 0 people is the size of the EU competitive PvP scene.

S – tupid AI builds are too strong – mesmer, ranger, necro.
U – nskilled players can dominate the game because of AI/passive procs/power of auto attacks.
C – rappy feedback from bad players is acted upon in testing/forums.
K – eep buffing everything, espicially passive procs/buffs like diamond skin, AR, etc
S – kyhammer – they thought this would be fun – shows their testers I guess.

Honestly, I have a hunch that if they listened to whatever testers they have, things might go better. It just seems like there are so many things that are so incredibly dumb that have been done that I find it hard to believe that whatever testers they have are just nodding their heads ‘yes’ through all of it.

I want to just clarify this point. They have stated numerous times that they constantly consult the “HIGH” tier pvp players when making changes. So, in essence I agree with what you’re saying and laugh at who they consider to be “HIGH” level.

Yeah sure I could have sent him a pm fixing this error, however if more people see it that’s less that will make the same mistake. It’s not like I’m belittling him in anyway, just a some constructive criticism in a professional manner. Which is why the Senso wasn’t offended.

Also about cluttering the forums, that’s all this thread is. It’s just toxic. Well all know pvp has it faults, and so do the developers. However they are a small group with limited amount of resources. So it takes time to fix all the issues we are currently seeing at the moment.

Not sure if it will be THAT late. Living world is every 2 weeks, so unless that changes, patch dates are Feb 4th, Feb 18th, and March 4th, so the earliest balance patch is happening after the living world “season,” which should be then, so the earliest balance patch will probably be on March 11th.

From what I read, the new game mode(s) will be ~june. The second half of the rewards along with amulet unlocks(?) (phasing out of glory?) is ~march.

I definitely see the issues with classes being OP but I can’t agree at all with you saying that a less-skilled player can beat you just because of AI. There are ways around those builds!

You don’t have to be top 100 to realize something’s off, apart from balance problems spvp gets boring fast, point fighting just brings too many bunker builds.

From a viewer pov, which I have had to experience in last two weeks, I can say this much: This game is boring as hell to watch, there is absolutely no moments in game where you hold your breath and experience excitment, only moments I actually found mildly interesting were on Legacy of the Foefire map where killing a lord is such moment in time that decides the game.

Repair every professions mechanics that have not worked properly for months.

Clear transparency with where this is all going. I can’t tell what the pvp in this game is hoping to achieve or make of itself. It is casual, is it competitive?, is balanced around team or individual?, against safe play or dynamic play?

Quit the nerfs where the reasons given for why don’t make sense or are simply not true.

Quit talking about skills being clear and visible and allowing for counter play when some professions skills have no posture, animation or cue. Laws are only laws when they apply to everyone. Either everyone has animations/postures/cues..or none of us do and we all have skill bars.

Make good on statements. “we’ll be working on reducing particle before years end.” There is currently more particle currently with all the new finishers added each update.

Change camera angles so the camera is not behind a tree or curtain. Remove environment if need be.

Forget creative design evolution if there is no feedback about was taken from all of this and what is going to be implemented. I have politicians for this in my life, I don’t need it from video’s game I play to pass time.

If you love time gating so much, time gate forums. People can post one thing every 24 hours. Look carefully about what you like to comment on, and what you feel others have commented enough. It removes bickering, asinine knee jerk comments where someone got spanked and now wants to soap box. Is it censorship? perhaps..but censorship for the best.

Make yourself more visible in game. You created it. You should enjoy your work. Nothing gives better perspective than being in it. I can imagine your busy, really busy. I think it would give more confidence to the community to line up in soloQ, or be matched in tpvp or just even see an a-net insignia running round hotjoin.

Feature patch was (in interview with colin johanson) said to be late spring/early summer iirc.

Which means may/june to me. In addition, they are holding stuff back to get a big marketing push behind this feature patch to stop people going to wildstar and ESO. It is no coincidence they are going to put it all in together.
