Ok now you HAVE to do something about leavers
You forced your hand with your own leaderboard by using ELO and displaying Winning Percentage.
If you log out in the middle of a game before it is over, you do not take a loss on your PvP tab. 499 – 23? Log off, quick! As far as I can speculate (since its impossible to know), you also don’t take any hit to your ELO rating. Everybody who plays knew it, but nobody cared because there was no reason to.
Now there is a reason to. Better get on it. The roster should be taken at the START of the match, not the end. Then you fill in the results at conclusion, regardless if the player stayed until the end of the match. Competitive gameplay 101.
if it really is like that , then i guess they can restart the leaderboard once they find a fix to the leavers.
else i see all matches ending 0 players vs 5 players, and no1 woud have any losses…just wins
they have already said fixes for 4v5 matches and quitter penalty is not a priority while they work on custom servers.

1) doesn’t show any information besides rank
2) exploitable
3) seems inaccurate or the system is insanely flawed for judging ranking
4) took 8 months for this one new feature
hmm.. I don’t see anyone really caring about this similar to how rank is zero indication of skill. oh well..
I knew it. I looked at those rankings and knowing how few dedicated groups are left in NA my eyes popped out seeing so many people with extremly high winning percentages. Its sad really. The game should remember you when you drop out and give you the lowest score possible. How hard can it be to do that?

I’d certainly hope that comment was made under the scope of unfair fights.. rather than exploiting their own leaderboard. However it wouldn’t at all surprise me that they were simply unaware of something that most every real player knew was there.
Someone needs to provide proof of this. Leaderboards just came out, only NOW can this actually be verified. Anything else is speculation.
Someone actually needs to log off from a tPvP match at least 5 times, before the hourly update of Leaderboard statistics, to prove this is true or not. Take before and after screenshots of your current win/loss.

I dont think its constantly updated, only a couple times a day.

Your PvP tab in game is updated in real time, and you can easily tell that the leaderboards match when they are updated. It really is a 5 second thing to test and confirm.

There are literally hundreds of ranked computer games that shows player behaviour. Yet developer STILL implement leaderboards without taking into consideration of players that will abuse mechanics.
It completely amazes me that professional developers cannot see the problems before they arise, players can but developers can’t. Really? sPvP just becomes yet another game system that I won’t bother participating in.
Bring on Elder Scrolls Online and hope that their developers have some sort of clue.
I reserve my right to leave rabbit/pve teams when facing premades (even though I virtually never do it).
Bite me.
Once a dedicated premade arena will be put in place (read: never), then by all means implement a leaver system. Honestly.

It should be easy, you leave before match ends (and don’t come back) → you get a loss anyway.

And this, my friends, it’s because it doesn’t bring MONEY….pretty predictable btw..
no need for 2 losses just him them with loss of rating equivalent to if they were facing a group of 5 rank 0’s.
People leaving games when they’re losing is a pretty bleeding-edge problem in computerized video screen games. Maybe one of you psychics can lend the devs your crystal ball, because when has his ever happened before?

With regard to penalty for leavers…
No banned from tPvP for X minutes. This is a bad idea.
Yes, award a very damaging loss penalty for being a leaver (perhaps a loss to 5 R0’s as indicated by others or perhaps 2 losses to 5 R0’s).
Solo Quers can’t compete on the ladder the way that it is built. It is the nature of the system and highly unlikely to change any time in the near future. If you find it un-fun to get rolled by pre-mades, then go ahead and leave (even though I find it cowardly and dishonorable) because you are free to do whatever you consider to be fun. Don’t complain however that the ranking system penalizes you for it, because by leaving you are essentially forefeiting the match for your team. You earned that loss by leaving.
Of course it’s real, I wouldn’t lie to you guys <3
My 2 cents:
1: Leavers get a 1 Hour ban from Tournaments
2: Repeated leavers get 1 week+ ban from Tournaments
Note: If in the case of a DC, Normally that person will try and rejoin as soon as possible, when rejoining the penalty will be wiped.
