As the title says…we should be able to use gold or gems to purchase times of knowledge. If I use my alt in pvp that is only level 10 I am pretty much hurting myself. Yes, times drop from reward tracks but you don’t acquire near enough. I liked being able to use glory to buy these as it opened up a door for me to experiment with different classes not only pvp but wvw and pve.

That’s annoying and not a very good feature :p

Depends on how you look at it; If you’re just starting the game and you hop in to pvp for a few rounds and get gear related to your level = Great feature.

As long as there is a recourse i.e putting the chests in the bank, I don’t see anything wrong with it, no one is punished for playing alts.

i’m on 16gb of ram (running everything maxed) and heres how long it takes to transfer like that…

porting to main city, 15 second loading screen.
putting chests in the bank, 10 seconds.
relogging on an 80 (likely in the mists), 20 seconds for logging in and loading mists.
porting to a main city, 15 seconds loading screen.
getting chests out of bank and opening, 10 seconds.
relogging on alt and loading in the mists, 20 seconds.
1:30 wasted time,

the only way this would be ok is if they added a banker to the mists and they won’t.

or just don’t click the chests and have the little icon flashing and wobbling around like it suffers from ADHD? so distracting!

why can’t they just scale the loot to the highest character on your account?
after all what person with a lv 80 will want a handful of low level greens from their match chests?

You’re asking for ridiculous resources to be spent on solving a problem that doesn’t exist.

Yes but for someone who has zero interest in doing a pve grind for levels it would be a lot nicer and easier to just buy my levels..

Exactly. If reward efficiency is really important to you, just let the chests pile up in your alt’s inventory for a while, then transfer them all at once during some period of downtime such as waiting on an arena or WvW queue. I understand the loading screen thing, but you don’t have to let that decrease your farming efficiency at all. You can choose to spend 90 seconds transferring one chest or 90 seconds transferring 480 chests, up to you.

But why are we talking about farming efficiency, anyway? This game mode is about direct competition vs. other players. It was never meant to be a loot or level farm area.

Really because one of the biggest complaints was that time spent in pvp had no reward for the rest of the game types. It’s not about efficiency for me its about convenience.

Okay.. collect tomes ; pve while you wait for qpops.. save all the chests..
You’ll be 80 within a few days… open the chests then.

As much as I value your opinion I would rather have a dev response than yours :P

The time you’ve spent whining here you could have transfered chests a dozen time. You wont get a dev response cause this thread is a waste of time.

Ram doesn’t affect loading speed.

Step 1. Buy SSD
Step 2. Switch to best performance
Step 3. Have 7 sec load times.
Step 4. ???
Step 5. Profit

Eh no matter what, there really needs to be a bank in the Mists. I don’t understand why anyone would oppose that.

We’re not really talking about that.. though….

The only problem with a bank in the Mists are PVE heros using the mists as their personal banking palace…. where as before they’d have to take the portal to lion’s arch.
As casual as gw2 pve is though.. why isn’t this possible ? No one knows..

they are definitly enough….
you can level so many alts just by doing your fun pvp activities thats the best thing ever and you are still not happy??!
