That Oceanic players have horrendous lag.

Never watched US players before, and it sure was an eye opener. I had always assumed GW2 was just laggy like that, like GW1 was, but it turns out it is just us.

Your connection is horrible for Oceanic players Anet, far worse than other games who host servers in the US. Please look into this.

Sorry, but Oceania is not a priority atm.
(currently installing hyper servers to boost server performance for China)
Btw do Oceanic players even have anyone to pvp with?

Depends on the time you play at.

It is not about servers in Oceania. The GW2 servers are really poorly set up for Oceanic players.

GW1 was not laggy at all. On my mesmer I could interrupt all 0.75sec cast skills easily.

I meant more the movement, etc. How it rubberbanded and all that junk.

Or maybe it was another poorly optimised game for long distance ping…

Yeah rubberbanding was an issue. There were few tricks to get around it but it was still annoying. I don’t see anything like that in GW2 though.
For me there is a little bit more delay on GW2 but that’s because I’m in Europe and I play on NA server. It is still fine. No need for quick interrupts in this game anyway.

i play on gw2 na servers from malaysia.

most of the time, sPvP is playable though.
rubber banding only comes when there is a serious lag spike.

otherwise it is okay.

i can play my hambow warrior just fine.

I live and play on EU, but when I hop over on my NA acc I normally play hambow too. Reason being: with roughly 0.5 to 1.5 second delay it still beats most NA players. But yeah there is a noticable delay constantly (not in spikes).

Also if you’re Oceanic and are having problems with delay, try WTFast. It’s a VPN that optimises your connection to the game servers. Works for everyone else too!

Even playing from within Europe (servers are in germany iirc) i would recommend to anyone serious about pvp whose connexion runs through Paris to use a VPN, unless they plan to play from 1am to 8am only.

There is one particular router in Paris that is absolutely overloaded and most internet providers tend to give priority to HDTV over gaming, so during peak hours you’re double kittened.
And that one router is actually a step to Anet’s servers in germany.

There are a few free VPNs out there doing a great job, since in most cases you don’t need performance improvement, you only need your datas to avoid the overloaded areas.

That helps to explain why you falsely believe warriors are balanced.

I am saying that you judge warriors by your hammer warrior lagging from Malaysia.

Also that warriors need a nerf.

no, we do not experience much lag at all playing from here, your claims of lag is ridiculously and not true. if you think we lag much, please form a team of 5 and we will let the outcome of the match decide if we lag much or not. well preferably with players in the 95% – 85% bracket in the team arena as we are in those ranks in NA.

and no, warriors do not need a nerf.

away with you, you warrior hater!
