That makes me chuckle a little because it soo evil. On the other hand this doesn’t sound like a valid tactic, more like the act of desperation. Some people say spying is a legit tactic too. I think it is in real life its s legit tactic to spy as it requires skills, in this game all it requires is a 1 minute free transfer. Which shows how broken this game really is and not the serious PVP game it was advertised as.

My apologies, Warlord. I misunderstood your post and tone because I couldn’t quite tell that your screenshot was of you inside the wall. Thank you for your addition to the thread and being a voice of reason when so many are quick to write certain guilds off as cheaters. I think we can all agree that a public forum is not the proper channel for baseless speculation.

I wish we had the coordination in the early AMs to give IoJ’s ND guild a good fight. Some nights we have the outmanned buff but most nights we don’t, they just flat out outplay us. Doesn’t help that we don’t have any mesmers on the overnight.

We’re getting better slowly but we’re definitely the weak link on the server. If there’s anyone on SoR on the overnights that thinks they can handle leading and are willing to coordinate using the teamspeak, I will pay for half (50gp) of your Commander badge.

To the poster having issue with saboteurs, while I understand your frustration of having Saboteurs / Spies, etc. It’s all part of the fun and keeps the weekly matches from becoming stale (especially now since it’s obvious the BG vs SOR vs IOJ identical matches has been going on for weeks.

Besides, throughout history there have been numerous spies/saboteurs in the real world. It’s all part of the “game” when it comes to warfare….

You have a guild on your server that continues to use exploits against us. We do not know if they are hacking or simply glitching through the walls but their members continually keep popping up in locations that they should not be able to reach. We have reported them and will continue to report them as long as they continue to use these sleazy tactics against us.

All we can do is report them in game and on here in hopes of other players taking the initiative to report them as well. Some of the members of Sanctum of Rall are becoming upset with the lack of action against the exploiters and their emotions are spilling on to here, I will apologize for that.

I’m not complaining, but considering the current score…why? There’s also a manned ballista on the spawn, several others near the entrance platforms, and a group of equal or greater size of that one on the portal platform.

I really just keep mob diving to see how long I’ll last at this point. It’s fun; don’t ask why. :>

We were having open field battles over and over again, all 3 trebs got destroyed.
I just thought it was a nifty idea, and one I haven’t really seen people use before.

(Now had we not been able to push IoJ back from the Garrison walls, it may have.)

I have seen one confirmed “exploit” (wall jumping) from Icoa LAST WEEK so to claim they “continue to use exploits” is a blatant falsehood with no proof behind it. Anyone can reach the spot in that screenshot posted if they were in the tower before it was flipped or your server mates wouldn’t have been able to get there themselves.

There are a half dozen players on this forum telling you they are still exploiting, that is proof. I apologize for not having 24 hour video surveillance of the particular guild whose name I will not mention.

If you do not believe me, that is fine. But if you see them doing anything shady please report them because they are still doing it.

Well lol I haven’t been there so I can’t say for certain, I’m sure there is some merit to the accusations, that being said though just because someone says something doesn’t make it true, especially when opinions with no hard evidence are being asserted. True or not, it makes for fun fights.

At least in the Borderlands or EB when I play, I think what’s made Blackgate grow stronger is the commitment to keep fighting for stuff even when we are outnumbered. I don’t ever see people with us much defensive siege as we put up. It’s not uncommon to see small groups running yaks for hours on end and 10-12 defensive siege items at our towers.

It tends to keep players in my guild more interested and committed when they see so many people giving a kitten about winning and spending their resources to defend.

Fun fights in SoR borderlands last night! Tried defending for a change, and here´s a video showing us doing so. Thanks to SoR for all the great fights !

IoJ from the looks of it, the posts of some members, and the couple of people I’ve had the pleasure of talking to in game is slowly dying. They should merge the active WvWers from IoJ into SoR and make a balanced server to push into T1.

Could be a lot of fun and an interesting shake up of things. If any guilds from IoJ have interest, send me a PM, we can talk.

I fear that these Tiers are going to be set in stone for quite some time. Probably not the way Anet intended WvW to be but still fun all the same.

I keep seeing SoR guys mentioning merger with IoJ, and it’s always ended with so come on over to SoR. I agree totally that yes our server play times completely are match made in heaven,. if we were to merge we would potentially be a t1 regular weekly winner.

The problem though.
Isle of Janthir and Sea of Sorrows are the two unofficial oceanic servers (aus and nz). They are full of people from these parts of the world. The vast majority being NON regular W3’ers. You are not going to move your guild to another server without leaving at least 60% of your team behind because I can tell you the reason we have unofficial aus n nz servers named before each and every game release is because being an oceanic player on a non oceanic server is the absolute worst experience. Recruiting for your guild sucks, getting groups sucks, doing large group content never happens in your prime time.

So whilst SoR would be a fantastic merge for IoJ unfortunately the ONLY way it would happen is by SoR moving to IoJ and we all know SoR members are incredibly proud of their community and that isn’t going o happen either.

Btw been away for 3 weeks and deing to get some w3 in!!!! What’s the fighting been like this week? Seems like its been a little one sided and IoJ is up o the week off trick.

I think this is the first time it’s been mentioned, and the main reason I brought it up is because of the recent posts from IoJ’ers here and on guru complaining about the sinking ship that is IoJ. Otherwise I wouldn’t have mentioned it at all.

While no one ever WANTS to move, IoJ is on its way down, while SoR is just sitting at status quo because of lack of coverage. You are right that the two servers together would make quite a powerhouse but at the end of the day it’s clear that the IoJ WvW guilds want to be competitive and play at a higher level, not get sunk down into the abyss of T3 and beyond.

The decay that an ex-T1 server has once it’s into T3 and beyond is pretty much un-recoverable. Maybe IoJ will be the exception to this history, but thus far people from your own server are saying that it’s getting worse not better and IoJ isn’t even in T3 yet.

That’s just my opinion of course, take it for what you will. And quite frankly, you could go anywhere not just SoR, because I think you have a fair amount of decent guilds over there, I just mention SoR because it would definitely fill a gap so it would be a “match made in heaven” so to speak.

Either way, it’s been a great match so far. We’ll see how the match plays out and how much longer this tier stays the same. From the looks of it, for at least the forseeable future.

but if yak’s bend takes some time off in tier 3 or IOJ in this tier, all they need to do is close a 40 point gap for TC to switch out with IOJ. i could easily see TC gaining 20 more soon. I don’t so easily see IOJ losing 20 points but its possible.

that would be to SOR’s detriment though. TC has a mighty(population wise) NA zerg and very little coverage otherwise, much like SOR. SOR would have less opportunity to hold a dominant portion of the map in America time and there would be no IOJ to oppose Blackgate and hurt their score during the oceanic/asian/european times.

not to mention TC and IOJ are not interchangeable. in my personal subjective opinion from fighting both, IOJ has a huge skill/tactics advantage AND has a coverage advantage.

TC/BG/SOR would me much less interesting and fun than what we have now.
IOJ/Yaks/? would be much less fun for them in T3 as IOJ would dominate that bracket a lot harder than TC is.

If you want a balanced server to push T1 then you need to back a winner.

SOR is going to have blatant coverage issues in T1 even if they pick up some of IOJ’s guilds. For a balanced T1 server you’d want SOR’s NA and IOJ’s oceanics to all hop on stackgate.

but ideally i think people need to be moving TO IOJ not FROM IOJ. i’m not on IOJ, but from fighting them i see they have amazing players and do a lot with very little. they have some smart tactics and really just need more NA people and SOR wouldn’t really be doing so well against them in this bracket. and in the long run, NA people are a lot easier to get than the other ones.

IoJ has always been in a hard place, originally having to always get beaten by the loser of T1, and now thanks to the implosion of HoD, we have to fight outnumbered in a majority of timezones by their refugee servers.

It usually puts IoJ in a situation were we can’t win. But that doesn’t stop us giving it everything we have and putting up a fight to be proud of. A lot of servers say they never give up, but they have no idea how strong that sentiment is on IoJ.

IoJ is the Warmaster Forgal Kernsson of servers.

IoJ was in tier 1 for a single week weren’t they? Or am I remembering incorrectly. HoD and ET died and servers below them had to move up. They are not a “ex t1 server” by any means.

We were leading t1 until the mad king event came live and 4 days into t1. We have a huge pop, but not a huge pop of hardcore w3’ers. Everyone knows we’re not a t1 server now, we will get there though one day. When a few smart guilds realizes that our oceanic presence will always be strong and they (the NA) guilds work won’t be all lost like SoR’s. is, that’s when you will see us rise. Personally I really don’t care about getting to t1, all I would like to see is about 50 more regular dedicated w3 players from NA join us so we can compete during this time slot.

Also you completely missed the point if my post indo, IoJ Oceanics are going nowhere, all of the disloyal ones left already to SOS and jade quarry. A lot of them from jq want to comeback. It’s good to have dreams though.

IoJ is an amazing server, it isnt dieing like some people have been posting, a few morons that can’t understand that NA prime time is outmanned a lot of the time are just plain and simply frustrated I assume. I know I’m an Aussie living in Mexico so I play during both time slots a lot of the time.
