Eh, I just often wonder if people really know how many people we field. We seem to have an ability to appear as more than we are. Last match up, there were a number of people from FA trying to argue that we had a force size roughly equal to theirs, which brought a smile to my face.
I hear people say they’re at a numbers disadvantage, then they’ll say things like: Neither Ebay or Mags can field full strength teams in 1 borderland + eternal. I wonder if they realize that’s not much less than we have. On a reset day, we can usually put a queue on two maps and a smaller force on a third. It’s been almost two months since we’ve been able to queue 3 maps, and I can’t remember the last time we had significant presence on 4. Any other time, we’ll have a light queue on 1 map during NA prime time, and maybe another full map’s worth of people split between two borderlands. That doesn’t sound too far different from what the other servers have.
As a result of the two Keeps that were taken using exploits on Yaks Bend Borderlands we are going to focus Ehmry Bay. I have made this agreement with a majority of the Commanders on Yaks Bend, this will be until server reset.
Given the current scores and calculating in SPT (score per tick) Ehmry Bay will only be 10 points above Dragonbrand in ranking upon reset. I’d like to see Ehmry Bay dropped this week into Div. 5.

I think both Ebay and Maguuma can equal out the numbers of YB at times. But with the Wintersday event I think both of us (ebay and mag) have less reliable numbers than YB.
Overall, I do think it is YB having better coverage around the clock when it comes down to scores.
But there’s other variables involved. And it is probably shared by all servers in T4. I know on Maguuma there’s a lot of people who do not lay siege to defend towers. And would much rather just pew pew random invaders that pose no real strategic value. Which is fine I guess. Cannot dictate how other players play. Or the infamous grub fetish Maguumans have.
I have enjoyed the WvWs against YB since you guys have been in T4. And don’t think fellow Maggies really need to make excuses for the scores. We could recruit moar, train up or people better, and some other stuff.

This isn’t true all the time though. There were like 2 or 3 nights where we actually had a queue in EB’s BL or Eternal. I think that was due to some of the bigger guilds organizing their own wvw nights. I know in Pyro, we usually have a large percentage of members online in wvw, whereas a former guild I repped organized one or two nights and a lot of people did not go as regularly.
Think that is mainly our biggest problem… As a server we probably enough players to compete with YB, but many players would rather PVE unless it is a guild event…

We are bored with your play style. Simply put we would rather have a different opponent.
Control your server please in the future. It may have been one player that used the exploit, but the 40 players that then accessed his portal are just as guilty of using an exploit.
Thats fine, you are prolley doing us a favour by dropping us to tier 5, I’m also posituve yaks has never taken advantage of hacks b4, To clarify I wasn’t on map when it happened and in noway agree with exploits. I also don’t blame a whole server for any hacking done by a couple of its members. Grow up.

Oh I know how many people you had approximately when we rushed Ebay BL yesterday. You had about 35 in Eternal, 25 in Ebay BL and judging from the rate at which supply camps were flipping back you had at least a 5 man in YB BL too. Thats just what I confirmed. Yesterday Mags had its usual crowd of around 20 to 25 in mumble + team chatters but we were wiped out of Eternal. Thats why we pulled everything from the other borderlands.
I know YB borderland hops like we do because we fake contest your keep waypoints and we see you come running, so I suspect you use some sort of server wide voice comms. I get the impression that alot of borderland hopping is spurred by contested waypoints on the main map since contested swords on camps and towers are not visible cross borderland. That may explain why we can flip your north towers repeatedly and you don’t do anything about it until we tag a keep door and then WAR shows up.
Reaction time is similar to ours. Ebay reaction time is slow (because I know they have server wide voice comms but not enough people actually use it).
Having played on tier 1 with Stormbluff Isle I can tell you that SBI had outmanned buff in their own borderland on a Saturday. Nobody gets solid queues in multiple borderlands much past the weekend these days. Timezone coverage was patchy on all tier 1 servers but blowouts only tended to last a couple of hours before the next influx of players would attempt to reverse the trend. Its not like that on the smaller side of tier 4. The income evolution of the first place finishers in tier 4 matches since Week 40 does tell its own story.

I don’t care what server we go after as long as it’s gonna give us more points. But the mentality behind what you are claiming is really childish…all servers have hackers/exploiters and YB doesn’t make decisions based on that. And most of the YB commanders that I personally know-know nothing about your claimed decision.
I just wanna say.. I’m really proud of you guys. We’re like a 4th tier or 5th tier or something like that cluster, but we have one of the most active threads on this board. It might seem like a small thing, but this hsit builds community. HOnestly I’d like to keep you two forever. EB gives me someone to love, and YB gives me someone to hate. Life isn’t fun unless you have both of those.
Sorry you were not online when we discussed this tactic. The fact that they had glitched a tower earlier in the day did not actually pre-empt any of this. Simply added that to use it as motivation for Yaks Bend players.
Goal is simply to swap Ehmry Bay with Dragonbrand. Adding diversity into the server reset trying to stimulate more activity in WvW rather than a stagnant match up.
As of 10 hours ago, FA and YB have a projected 20 point difference in rating so its still possible we could switch. Personally, I want to see IoJ, but the server may also need to take a breather from T3. Would be fun to have an FA/Mag/DB rematch.

I know most of you guys don’t condone that, but please get a hold of your players if you see them doing this. And before I get a “Hurr Durr, pics or it didn’t happen!” post…I posted screenshots and a video of the first occurrence, but I received an infraction for it.

So far Ebay and Maguuma have a combined 40 Omega golems for reset. Our goal is a sustained 200. They will be used throughout the following week all at once vs Yak’s.
Too funny reading yak and mag talk in here while us on ebay just play the game and enjoy ourselves. Carry on!
If we get moved down we get away from maguuma, i’d say that is a blessing. Maybe next week after borlis and yak double team the mags.. we’ll swap places with em and they go to tier 5 while we come back up. If not who cares.. it being a video game and all, we’re here for the fighting. A new set of opponents would be awesome.

As for the whole where is Ebay, well listen here, we just don’t have the population that Mag and yak has, simple as that. Our WvW guilds have a large portion of PvE players who rarely come to WvW.
