So just a thought I was having, if Mag is so convinced they are amazing I’d like to see at least 1 video of them wiping groups instead of them just talking. (I’d hope one person would at least be able to) I know we have a few in TV who are going to start recording all of our stuff mostly for our own benefit but all this “We wiped you X times and you never wiped us” talk just seems silly from what I’ve experienced so far seeing as I had 500+ kills on Saturday on an upleveled guardian with no elite and I’m already starting his 2nd stack of badges at level 29 I’m just tossing this up here in a hope to see some video’s by Mag and DB since it’s always nice to see the opposite side of the field yours truly a humble TC player.
its not hard to stack up on badges on an upleveled character when all u have to do is run with the zerg and steam roll any small group.
not saying u guys dont have any good players but hardly have i seen any tc roam around alone and if i do find 1, two or more tc would not be far behind.
Its WvW, not spvp. Small groups have thier place in PvP maps or in the lower WvW Tiers. WvW in T2 will always be about larger groups. If Maguma ever hits T2, you’ll figure that out pretty quickly.
In T3, we all sorts of small teams out and about. Used to do it quite a bit myself. But, TC had to adjust tactics to stay in T2. Now old habits are still there back in T3. But why would we want to re-train everyone in T3 tactics when we don’t want to be here for long?
Some of BG’s camp flipping teams were 15-20 strong.
T2 still needs dedicated small groups doing small group stuff to support the Zerg’s conquest…

I’m proud of all the maguumans who showed up to fight- we’re outmanned sure, but that doesn’t mean we can’t fight- even if TC will just show up and take the place 10 mins later :c
Also finished my beserker gear, refreshing change from P/P condi- if you see me failing hard out there, I’m still learning how to use this darn rifle.

T2 was a lot more fun. I would rather face impossible odds with fantastic fights than run over another helpless group of Mags caught in the headlights of a semi-truck full of vengeful TC players sick of the comments on the forums.
Mission Accomplished. We can all go home.
As predicted before the match ever started.
This is why almost every server TC beats hates them. You guys are so condescending it’s mind-blowing. Especially after they’ve seen your “skills” out on the battle fields. I know I hate you guys
From what I recall, most guilds have taken a break from WvW with the occasional event some days. At least, taken a break from being try hards. It’s T3, it’s relaxing and on the edge of boring, but it’s not where we want to be. I’m sure you guys don’t want to be here either with us and don’t have all your most seasoned players out due to the low morale of having a T2 server’s population here.

Our small teams typically run 5 players … never more than 10. Often solo.

When exactly do these people play? I admittedly haven’t wvwed much at all this matchup, but in the bit I have, I certainly haven’t seen any TC smallmans looking for good fights. Anyone that didn’t outnumber me turned and ran until they found help, which was generally pretty fast considering the number of TC around.

lol Blackgate coined the nickname the Zombie Coast, because you kill one of us and five more pop up and come at you.
I mostly play EST daytime, and I mostly run solo. I’ll join the zerg from time to time, but I get more enjoyment out of unique and small encounters. And I’m not alone feeling that way on TC. Most times I wind up face down in the dirt, but I consider that part of the game and all fun.
Edited to add: But we have folks like that at all hours of the day. Avoid the zerg and you’ll likely run into them.
I’ll also echo what Keth said below … I’m always wandering with a purpose to help the team … I will have some goal to achieve … It’s never strictly looking for fights …. But I usually find that’s where I encounter the smaller skirmishes.

By small teams, we mean small teams helping the map, not small teams roaming around looking for fights. Objectives, scouting, sentrying key points, and eliminating any threats to our army being discovered. Of course, there’s many more things that’d create a big list if I’d want to elaborate each one, but the small teams I participate in or listen to on Mumble are doing things to benefit the whole. Going out just to kill is not very beneficial until it’s for certain things.
You NEED small groups, that’s a must. You can’t win with just Zergs, and a small group staying unnoticed is even greater at times.

I must admit I am enjoying this match up alot.
The fights in the EB JP have been intense for the most part.
If only we could ban portals and remove the water that place would be amazing.

Dear diary, today I went to WvW. It was a merry time with Dragonbrand, but I got a few broken ribs and some stitches. I took a picture of TC guys visiting our Bay Keep. I was so jealous of how many friends you have! We tried to run in for some hugs but it hurt! Oh there are some lonely times roaming in DB…
But I must thank you all Dragonbranders who bravely stood by and tried to hold the lord’s room with all your might, even knowing we were faced certain death!

If you’re looking for something a bit more organized … I know DIS and some PINK folks often run duels where both sides stand back and let the two fight it out …. Of course it’s on the honour system, but I suspect your attempt at hand waving would be more successful … Try messaging outspoken aardvark (username somewhere in this thread) …. After my internet being down most of the night the day before (which is sometimes good, you get other things done), I decided to spend a bit more time in WvW on Sunday. Log in during non-peak hour, and what happens?
I hop into our home BL, flit over the the garrison, and find TC streaming through the gates. Oh, and we’ve got the outmanned ‘buff’ too.
Fine, figure I’d try to do something, slow and steady wins the race, be patient since there’s only a handful of us on the map. So round up a few guys, siege up the NW tower, throw up a couple of trebs and try to take advantage of TC trying to take East Keep from DB at the time to shell the paper garrison. Eventually poke a hole, yell it out the the map, and enough people come to throw up a bunch of rams on an inner gate, run in and kill the lord, only to have the TC zerg show up before the circle finishes capping.
Shortly after they show up at the NW tower, throw up more siege than we have people on the map and run over the thing before anyone has a chance to yell for reinforcements (not there would have been any anyhow). Okay, fine, let’s try from the NE tower. Throw up some defensive siege, escort some yaks… try not to draw attention and eventually get some trebs… nope TC’s taken the East Keep and DB’s off the map, up goes 5 catapults and the tower’s gone.
Eventually someone brings a karma train in from Orr and we retake the Garrison. And manage to hold it for a short while. As the afternoon draws on the numbers dwindle off and we’re back to outmanned again. Try a few breakouts, TC responds with zergs of siege, pushed back, farmed at spawn.
You ask me to put up a fight? Then, pray tell, how? Spend all my cash on siege and upgrades which get torn down the moment someone sees something is happening? Try to stop your zerg with small group/lone self?
I’m a competitive player at heart, more recently in MMO PvP, going all the way back to the original FPS’s, and never been one to give up on a fight. The problem is the logistics right now preclude fighting at all without calling in a zerg. And that’s only going to happen at certain times of the day.
I’d probably find more fights doing something silly like camping the JP and I understand why some people would rather do that.

You join up with a WvW guild, pick a borderland, organize a specific day for your guild night and go take your third of the map and then some. Take no prisoners.
You realize we were having the exact same problems not a week ago, right? It was those guild pushes that got us a lot of our points. But it wasn’t the points that got us going out there to begin with; it was the opportunity to butt heads with the guilds of Kaineng and Blackgate. The fights were great and kept us coming back every day or so, even if we’d wake up to find everything we’d taken back in the hands of its original owners.

Just kidding, I know you’re doing fine.
When outmanned i like to roam around on a nice slow character, scroll by the many towers and keeps we dont own. Then my day always brightens when i get kill some maguuma, though TC makes decent substitutes.

No problem. When all else fails, most will resort to being passive-aggressive forum warriors, which just wastes a very good opportunity.
The clever ones will take advantage of the sheer number of fair weather players to practice fighting against superior numbers.

So very many new faces on TC this week, it’s great to see we actually have that latent coverage hanging in the back. To those of you giving WvW a shot this week/finishing up map completion etc. – do stick around! It can get incredibly fun when stacked evenly/against the odds (at least for me, from SEA timezone pov).
Hope to see you fellow Toasters for some time to come!

Stay mobile, take your party hop maps, backcap the dominant zerg on the map. During NNK timzone when TC was considerably outmanned we were able to stay in 200+ PPT and kept the lead of DB’s SEA as low as possible by playing smart, opportunistic and outmanoeuvring our opponents.
We would go and backcap MAGBL after DB has had their fair share of it, we would go and cap DBBL southern part, we would then hop maps and take back TCBL while asking our EB crew to pressure SM to keep NNK there. Get the idea? Coordinate with everyone on at the time and play for opportunity. NNK and TFV are quite an impressive SEA crew but they are still limited to running in one big group or possibily two big groups, your small groups with superior siege can outmanuever and take objectives from them (towers and keeps, not just supply camps).

It’s not really a gate – it’s just a big piece of paper with a door painted on it. It’s only there for you to bust through like the kool-aid man. OH YEAH!
TC you did not disappoint us. Come back up to T2 quickly. You are probably going to replace SoS. ^^

I am certainly hoping SoS has lost enough players to be a solid T3 server but not so much to slide very far. T3 could use a smaller pop server for better match ups. Any server that can fill up every map on reset night doesn’t belong in current T3.
The problem you’re having with us, is that because we pulled out a clear lead at the start of the match up, it attracts all the bandwagoners and map explorers flooding the maps. These are the very same people who are nowhere to be seen when we’re in T2 and on the defensive or in fact ever, unless we’re winning, which fills the field with a lot of fairweather warriors.
I don’t think TC belongs in T3 with you guys, the problem is, I don’t think we belong in T2 either, we’re in that medium phase where we’re too big for one tier to give them any real fun and not quite formidable enough yet for T2, we’re getting there but for the time being we’re stuck with each other.
Heya TC dood from yer guild [REST] … good job on shoing your maturity doing the stompy stomp dance on a downded DB player, DB BL S.Hills :P
Sorry you had to see that. It’s embarrassing to see someone representing your server making us look bad like that. Just wanted you to know that most of us aren’t fans of that that kind of chest thumping. Hopefully, someone from REST will take care of it.

But a man does not fight merely to win!”

TC is definitely T2 level considering the depleted SoS is weaker than Kain and FA now.
If you are an ele who dueled a GS/Axe-Shield warrior behind redvale last night in DB borderlands while both our servers fought over the camp – Good Show! I must admit I was surprised you wanted to duel in the middle of a fight, but it was fun. Let’s do it again sometime!
The one thing I noticed on TC is when 20 or so guys run around and take POI.They take a sentry and 15 of them huddle on the spot for the experience and then you look at many of them and they are in level 20 gear.
This has always been an epidemic on TC in EB when we run with PINK or TV commanders(Yes no matter what Rank this is the burden they bare), trial by fire and all of that but man, it’s spreading to the other BL’s now.
In any case be respectful, have fun and play to crush to get back to r2.

What’s wrong with leveling an alt when it’s an obvious blowout week? In our guild the only time we are restricted in bringing non-80 fully geared toons is durin our raid night. Plus this is aomething that occurs on every server, not just TC.
