Guild Wars 2

I know that this is a game but I am sure that most of us here are old enough to maintain a certain level of maturity. All of this ‘chest thumping’ is rather childish and highly uncalled for; it belittles the guilds of the people doing it. And it is this action that makes me hate going into WvW, despite being in a WvW guild; I want no part in the stirring of the pot; I stay in the WvW guild because I still like the organization that isn’t held elsewhere. Until the time comes when an absolute best can be declared, stick your pride in your back pockets and enjoy the game; stop wasting your time on the forums that don’t give you bags. :P

They vote once a month to promote up to 4 players from TWL to TW. If anything, I’d say TW is probably the most exclusive guild in the game atm considering they don’t mass recruit at all and they still have people pounding down their doors wanting to get in but can’t.

I could only imagine what would happen if they had 80 players though.

Having just come from Tier 2 and the fantastic thread that we were able to keep up, I’m a little upset with Tier 1’s attitude in the forum So, I just want to say this…I’ve had a lot of fun this week. So much so that all my college work has been done at the very last minute because I’ve wanted to do WvW for a little longer. I’m really surprised that BG is winning and I’m super happy for my server because I’d been saying all week that JQ would steamroll us. Whether or not it’s because we got some new guilds (which I haven’t been paying attention to, but I hear rumors we have), I have to say that the fights have been AMAZING! JQ and SoS are great opponents and I look forward to the rest of the week. Here’s an update!

And from reading the thread talks just the right amount of smack as compared to the other TWs.

Still, i’ve never seen how good/bad TW as a guild is. I’ve never seen them apart from the CDS/TW/Hel/Pug/etc.. blob they tend to run with. Are their numbers too small to compete with the huge zergs some guilds are running with by themselves? Have attrition and selective recruiting thinned them out?

It’s been suggested that drop are based on the lvl of the toon you killed. Have you solo-ed a lowbie and getting a lvl40+ item? Based on that premise, an exotic/rare will probably drop from a very high lvl person. Btw, some folks have been getting rares from Supers.

I found I got more exotics off dolyaks believe it or not. Three so far in two weeks. Not a lot, but from the same mob, so I took note.

I don’t know about their process just what they do.

And as far as how good they are, depends on whether you can beat them or not I suppose.

As far as their numbers, etc. They are a 12 year old guild going back to DAOC, I don’t think they are looking to just recruit members for the sake of recruiting. I can only assume they are selective because the people they play with in this game, they want to play with them in the next too.

I’m sure someone who is actually in TW can speak for their own guild though, I just enjoy running with them.

Look, I’m not saying I’m better than every single TW player. I don’t know if I’d beat them in 1v1s or whatever.

To me being good isn’t a static thing. To me it’s about always working to improve your skills and the kinds of skills that I’ve seen developed in zerg warfare aren’t really the kinds of skills I really want to work on developing.

I run around by myself a lot of the time just for that reason. I try to win 2v1s and 3v1s for that reason. Sometimes I lose sometimes I win, sometimes I just run away. But I almost always feel like I’m learning something I want to learn.

That’s why I wouldn’t want to join TW or any of these other zerg guilds. It’s not that I think they’re all awful players, although perhaps some of them are. It’s that I don’t think they know anything about the game that I want to know.

If I thought differently I would’ve endeavored to join them. Instead I’ve stayed put.

Reports have been coming in of Tyrians mysteriously vanishing only to reappear minutes later with traumatic tales of “disconnections” with reality as they know it. Additionally many have experienced a sudden paralysis while attempting to move or perform certain actions.

In all seriousness: ANet fix your kitten! This whole experience is beginning to make your attempted game repair solutions appear more like a prescription drug commercial’s list of side effects.

Yes I agree. It is extremely sad that it is the year 2013 and a game can’t handle 150-200 people fighting in the same vicinity. Its like I time traveled back to the early 2000’s or something. Its really sad to be honest.

The 3rd was much more fun, some very close calls, the lord was down like 3 times, but I wasn’t recording that one. There was a 5th breach that was pushed back, then I had to go to bed at 5:30 in the morning.

who exactly are you again? if you dont fight against any of these major guilds/groups and just run solo as you stated in your previous post then why not focus on the gameplay you feel you are “good” at. keep it up. we look forward to seeing everyone on the battlefield

There was a BG zerg, SoR zerg and JQ defender zerg.. if you can figure out how to NOT lag in that situation, you’d be rich.

I happened upon that huge fight at the south camp last night between SoR and BG. I was simply stating what I saw and experienced.

So in saying what you have said, you feel we as TW zerg because we field 25 people and as in past games that was considered a zerg. DAoC/WAR and other games 8-10 mans could take on 50+, but that is just not the case anymore(wvwdownisbad.com). On avg we have 20 people maybe 30 on a good night. if that for you is a zerg in this particulary game then by all means call us a zerg. We are not other “gank guilds” as people call em. We will help our team capture and come in for assistance. So speak your mind my friend we all do here, just remember if you’re solo, 5 people to you is a zerg…

What I said was that I happened upon an enormous zerg of SoR versus and enormous zerg of BG at the southern supply camp of which TW and TWL were a part. There appeared to me to be at least 60 SoR possibly 70-80. I did not say that you guys constituted the entirety of SoR’s force. There were several other guilds present. If anyone has a video of the fight I’m sure we can confirm what I’ve said.

I do think that running around with anything more than a group is zerging. The thing is that a lot of people in this game zerg. I do it too. Sometimes I run around with our zerg guilds and try to help them as much as I can. I see what they do as a necessary evil because it gets things done quickly. I don’t really take any pride in it. I don’t think I improve as a player from doing it. I like Blackgate and the people here so I do whatever I think I can to try and help the server succeed. But you will never see me mention a victory or post a video of a zerg fight or comment on how many lootbags I got or whatever because to me it’s all shameful business and not deserving of special mention or praise.

I thot the remaining Ta went sor BG has most of what was AA exept foo, tL and a few other that don’t come to mind atm. I think there was a big reroll before server xfers were made paid and their building there way back up again. I mean this can’t be tier 1 I am positive ken will be up here cause they are pretty rockstar, but I am also pretty sure there is a sleeper in one of the lower tiers aswell.

BG doesn’t jump ship, ever. Certain guilds may but as a whole we have been more stable than any other server in the game. We’ve dropped from T1 twice with no bandwagoners leaving and here we are back in T1 for a third time kicking your kitten

You can troll all you like, it doesn’t matter to us, we just keep fighting.

P.S. BG is made up mostly of guilds that have been here since day 1, and ex-Ascension Alliance (NOC, Res, CQ, LotD, FoE), most ex-Titan guilds don’t even play GW2 any more or have disbanded. Not that we even think about the old alliances any more, BG is one no matter previous affiliations.

No offense but KN would get destroyed in tier one. I can’t even see kn NA managing 50 points a tick with these NA power houses. And your awesome asian force would be mitigated by JQ’s.
