Nice to see some folks valiantly keeping this thread upbeat and light-hearted.

As someone once said, I forget who, match threads are kind of like going out for a beer after the game and unwinding with friends — even if you happened to beat their pants off earlier.

I don’t know if any of you recognize it, but this thread is a million times better than the tier 1 thread the week before, even with some grumbly types still in here.

south east asia 9am-1pm ish est we have some fantastic guilds in that time slot but I think they have lifes and don’t play every day I mean> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0 . If you were talking about Oceanic + NA nightshift 3 – 8am ish est It is not allot of people but they’re all very high quality players. I think the burst from JQ was just allot of gulds pulling all nighters. It will be cool to see how it effects the rest of the week if they keep it up.

The times I posted are not official times just the flow i see while playing.

I’d really like for BG to lose this week just for kicks. I’ve heard some people calling them Sea of Blackgate recently.

It sucks that the two servers (JQ and BG) that have the biggest community that I would like to join is in t1. Makes me look like a shipper. -_- I joined SOS primarily for wvw with my fellow pinoys (which was supposed to be the official oceanic server) but the filipino population is surprisingly thin and not willing to go wvw exclusive.

There are a lot of people on BG that would prefer you not get your kicks.

Lines are being drawn in the ‘PvE’/‘WvW’ server-sand. It’s not being a shipper, it’s determining what you want endgame to be. I’m sure JQ, SoR, or BG would love to have you play with them.

Blackgate can be a very good community, but every server has their bad apples. Do what you want, what will make you happiest, and don’t worry about what everyone might think about you.

I’ve seen more [Omen] than [Exi] in wvw; maybe join them instead if you ever get into JQ.

It sucks that I have grinded to death trying to arm my toon to the teeth with legendaries (im in the process of earning my 3rd), and have no one to play with in wvw. I plan to play wvw exclusively with my friends from now on and yet my server seems to prefer hunting dragons instead. -_-

Hey, fellow Filipino here. I was bouncing around between servers during the first months of the game until I settled on Blackgate, mostly because Urge kept me interested in the WvW. I have a friend who I used to run with that ended up with EXI on JQ, so I think it is just largely dependent on what you choose. I’m certain all three of the top servers can offer fantastic communities for you to join.

It’s just that I find it more fun to be with people who share the same timeslot as I do. I don’t mind joining an international guild, in fact I am a member of one, but the time difference makes it particularly boring in WvW. i’m strictly speaking about WvW during SEA. I don’t mind doing everything else with everyone else. I just want a community that’s competitive in wvw during our primetime.

If you have a group of SEA players to keep things competitive, consider helping out SoR to round out the player base for all 3 servers in that time zone.

Have a say with [Urge]. For instance, a guy named “Siegebreak”, he is philipinos too (Urge) and then he can inform you about Blackgate WvW Community.

All i can say for you is that BG SEA is less stacked than JQ SEA. The peak BG SEA, EBG may only get 5-10min queue while the rest of borderlands still queue free to join (unless there are main assault from JQ to BGBL which may cause 5-10min queue to BGBL too) Queues never become a problem at all for Blackgate SEA especially on weekday.

Urge is awesome philipinos guilds to work with. Im sure you will like Blackgate community Speaking from the same SEA timezone peep in Blackgate, Thai Alliance.

You should do what is fun for you. If thats trying out new and different guilds on different servers you should do that. If its hopping servers to stay in T1 more power to ya. If its just following the oceanic communities around why not.

Any problems with the game is Arenanet’s fault, not yours. Don’t let anyone suck you into the mentality that trying to have fun playing a game the way you want to play it is a bad thing.

Yea good advice. I’m only after a good oceanic/SEA wvw server.. SOS just really isn’t providing me the kind of fun I used to have. I’ve stopped doing wvw for a while and when I came back it just feels so empty.

I think all the funny and good looking people in this thread should move to TC … And then when we hit number one in Tier 1, we can all laugh and laugh and laugh that an RP server kicked the kitten (yes, I typed the word kitten) out of everyone else.

This is Siegebreak a wvw commander in URGE we are wvw focused guild. We have mandatory wvw schedule, teamspeak is a must, and we are strict during wvw hours.
If you are looking for pure wvw action 4-8 hours a day then URGE is for you.

The Reason EMP avoids TW is not because we are afraid of them, although we do think that they are a good PvP guild. The only reason that TW wasn’t included on that list is the fact that TW has been known to spam troll EMP members, especially our GM, Rawnoodles. Basically all of our leadership has TW blocked, so setting up communication between us to GvG would be difficult.

Understand that we do have respect for TW as players, but as people, we have had some serious issues in the past. We would like nothing more than to test ourselves against TW, but they have made it clear that they are not interested in a friendly competition.

We love noodles, he gets all of our attention on inc! Its a shame though, last patch they added precursor drops for anyone who can kill TW.

I think it’s fair to say guilds avoid TW like the plague. I really don’t know what you guys are going to do when you get to T2, there isn’t anyone that can beat you in T1(that I’ve seen), you guys will be bored in T2.

The Reason EMP avoids TW is not because we are afraid of them, although we do think that they are a good PvP guild. You say you respect TW as players and would love to fight them, but then turn around and refuse to include them in the list of guilds you want to fight. I mean you do realize there are third person parties you can go to, to communicate.
