Nice fight on EBBL tonight. Almost had Bay on numerous occasions, but I think EB must have summoned their entire WvW force to save it… barely.

We actually didn’t have that many people. There were hardly enough people to man the siege for the most part. The only reason it seemed like we had so many probably was since everyone who died would use the waypoint whenever it reset in the bay, and that waypoint is right there in the lords room where all the fighting was going on. You guys would nearly wipe us then we would revive in force enough to surprise those not expecting 25 more people suddenly to be in the fight.

Rumors says that [pk] guildmembers are bandwagoning to FA, and they’re not the only ones.

We lost 6 members, some of whom went to FA. There might have been others from other guilds who went with them, I am not sure, but we have since gained more than that just on last nights raid. Don’t take that to mean that Ebay as a whole is going to suffer.

After our raid petered out I led a small band of 4 brave soldiers to Yaks where we took a tower and tried to ninja Hills. Again “THISCLOSE”. Got inner down to 15% before being discovered, ended up dying in lords room and not being able to get back in. You crushed the hopes and laughter of a few minutes of TS cackling about how funny it would be if we actually got in.

Good times though, lots of fun this week on this matchup. I am thoroughly enjoying it!

But, because a post in this thread generally shouldn’t end without some kind of banter, I feel compelled to say “Man, you guys are lucky we didn’t have a Mesmer online or Hills woulda been ours!!1!11!”

From what I know our SEA side is more PvE inclined, so with the new guild missions and all……..

What I need to happen is Yaks to tank points (Maguuma style) so that they don’t move up to tier 3 I enjoy this matchup. That is all.

Yaks, gotta tip my hat for that big battle for our Bay. Lots of fun. We were riled up when you made it to lords only to be pushed out. Believe it or not, we had a queue on YBBL and home borderland at the same time last time we played them… during a weird hour as well (something like 1PM server time during a weekday). That’s something I love about this server. When you call out to other guilds, they will come

Honestly T4 is quite boring on the whole, I hope YB isn’t getting too comfortable here. I mean, its nice and relaxing to win easily even with half our guilds on vacation farming commendations, but I hope we’d prefer a challenge.

I think the server is still somewhat traumatized by the whole Kaineng incident, our NA turnout goes wayyy down whenever we face strong oceanic servers, which is a shame because we could have done much better in T3, than what we showed last week. I think earlier someone posted that they thought that DB/Mag/YB would be a really fair tier, and I agree with that.

Well the siege IIRC lasted at least 3 hours, I think [Me] started trebbing at around 7PMEST, [Yum] and [CL] showed up just as outer fell the first time. I think [Yum] logged at around 10, [Me] at around 10:30, and [CL] at around 11.

Someone from Despicable vent disconnected during the 3rd push and reported that there was a queue at that time, dunno about any other time. We definitely were too impatient with that one, we had all your siege dead and several carts built on inner wall shooting into the lord cage, plus the treb cows. All your guys seemed low so we portal bombed… right into a mass WP res.

I thought he was half dead eb but demonstrated in this battle they had still had claws, eb gotta tip my hat for that big battle for Bay.

I’ve been in T1 since launch and starting to get tired of it so I’m hoping to have a good time with you guys sooo see you soon! oh and don’t worry I won’t start any T1 drama style :P

It’s nice to see new faces but if you come for next week’s match I hope you won’t get put off. YB are bouncing between tiers 4 and 3 at the moment and next week we look set to go up against TC and DB. I’m sure such a match would be conducted in good spirit but would nonetheless be a complete wash for YB outside of reset.

I suppose I have to spell it out for you. Because of the population difference between the servers Yaks bend is winning in score, this is obvious. While we crush one zerg, there’s another on the other side taking something else or there they have enough people to go to CD’s Borders etc. Thus Yaks is winning in score by population difference. However, in terms of “open field”, Ebay dominates this with or without equal numbers but saying with less would just hurt your feelings and make you insecure.

Also in particular, I don’t care about the “score” or “winning”, I look for good fights, and it is difficult when the other servers are just zergballing everywhere.

You’re using superior tactics to defeat zergs, to hold keeps, and to defeat the enemy, what more do you want? A fair fight? What would be fair then? If you would take two equally skilled people who dont make mistakes when fighting, then it all comes down to rng.

Even look at real wars. Guerrilla warfare can work at times, but other times the country that has the most people and machines win. I mean, you trying to find the perfect battle is basically, well, living in a fqntady world.

Laughable, nice flame bait though. EB has some guilds that can wipe our pugs, and apparently you can defend 1700 Keeps if you summon your entire weekend NA primetime force of “20 people.” But YB dominates open field equal numbers, when our main guilds are actually present.

You are missing the point. I am just saying that they have more zergs to win in terms of points, which I don’t particularly care about, but when they claim to be superior in open field combat, I find that to be hilarious because it’s far from the truth. It’s one thing to say to wipe one zerg and then run across the map just to try and wipe the other, who at this point would be expecting you should one server communicate in any way. And no wiping a bunch of weak scared zergs isn’t satisfying at all, I want competition in the open field, not free loot. Am I annoyed at times that I’m being zerg’d by 4x+ my numbers? Yes. But again this is all beyond the point, my main focus is on yaks bend claiming to be “superior” in the open field. I never actually claimed to use superior tactics either. It was a joke from the last time we faced yaks bend who claimed “a 40 man guild raid is not a zerg, it’s just an organized and superior tactical group” and hilarity ensued afterward. I complain about zergs not in terms of “winning” but because its annoying to get steamrolled by 4x+ your numbers when roaming. If we win, great, if we lose and drop, even better, DR and AD put up a better fight than anyone on t4 has so far besides Maguuma when they came down, in open field.

Laughable, nice flame bait though. EB has some guilds that can wipe our pugs, and apparently you can defend 1700 Keeps if you summon your entire weekend NA primetime force of “20 people.” But YB dominates open field equal numbers, when our main guilds are actually present.

Obvious troll is Obvious. What main guilds? I’d love to hear this because I’ve stomped people from Rawr to CL to War. What guilds am I missing so I am to prepare myself against these superior enemies sir?

The winners always boast, while the losers just have to deal with it. It’s not new, really.

BTW, YB does not belong in T3. Pugs are still bad and the guilds are still so-so. I do however, see awesome individuals.

And no wiping a bunch of weak scared zergs isn’t satisfying at all, I want competition in the open field, not free loot. Am I annoyed at times that I’m being zerg’d by 4x+ my numbers? Yes. But again this is all beyond the point, my main focus is on yaks bend claiming to be “superior” in the open field. I never actually claimed to use superior tactics either. What would you have them do? Tell people to not play with other people? To form different groups and go by yourselves? Nature shows that numbers are always better. Wolf packs, prides, flocks, herds, if anything, it can be considered using what they have. If a zerg is a benefit, then use it. Why leave it behind? They’ll move between t3 and 4 along with maguuma. And somehow i bet if we look at that forum for t3 atm, maguuma or someone has prob stated the whole ‘omg losing to zergs’ post already.

The fact is, despite what anet can do, zergs are going to be here no matter what. Unless a server has no one on, i really doubt 10 people will take a completely upgraded garrison by themselves.

And really, yaks can claim whatever they want. The fact that it gets under your skin is sad. Its a game. And in games the winner gets to boast. If you can come in here boasting about killing zergs, then they can boast about being a better server.

And could AD and DR be putting up a better fight cause they have a closer population to yours?

Stranger things have happened. We took Mag’s fully upgraded SM last week with like six (I actually posted a pic or two in that thread after it happened). We were merely night trollin’ out of boredom when it all started. Set up a total of two catas, lob some rocks at the doors, see what we could stir up. Were honestly a bit dumbstruck when that second set of doors burst open and we could’ve heard crickets chirping on the other side…

Definitely filed in my mind as one of my more bizarre instances in WvW. We kind of cautiously poked about the agape doors, then gaggled in the courtyard directly looking down the corridor to the lord’s room. For a moment or two it was quite a, “so… here we are” moment. Went into the lords room and fought off the two players that had been “guarding” the place (by that meaning up until then they must have been afk until they saw us or heard the commotion). Will say, those NPC’s are actually surprisingly sturdy with only a handful of people.

Can’t imagine Mag was all that happy in the morning…

This is precisely why we need a “clear the dead” option at the guild claiming NPC in each keep. Instantly transferring all corpses several ingame meters outside the palisades. Living enemies are one thing, having to sit next to the corpse of a dead Mes just as a “Kitten, please…” is an overall waste.

Nope, been wvwvw since the start of the game. But if you have to resort to accusations, you don’t play a thief do you? Or a mesmer? I mean, with the culling issue and everything, not a class that can stealth and abuse that mechanic against other players. Nah….wouldn’t stoop that low.

Nice fight on EBBL tonight. Almost had Bay on numerous occasions, but I think EB must have summoned their entire WvW force to save it… barely.

We actually didn’t have that many people. There were hardly enough people to man the siege for the most part. The only reason it seemed like we had so many probably was since everyone who died would use the waypoint whenever it reset in the bay, and that waypoint is right there in the lords room where all the fighting was going on. You guys would nearly wipe us then we would revive in force enough to surprise those not expecting 25 more people suddenly to be in the fight.

We also had groups protecting dolyaks, running supply from garrison, etc etc the whole time… almost completely ignored.

Naw, I could count you guys pretty well whenever you pushed out into the open, you had at least 40 for sure, more if you count the runners and yak escorts. Meanwhile you lost everything else outside your BL, so the rational conclusion to me is that all your dudes were defending Bay.

Speaking of runners and escorts, yeah we did kitten that up pretty bad. I think everyone was having too much fun farming bags to go do the chores. =/ You guys are still pretty squishy out in the open but you’ve definitely improved your keep defense, props.

Lol Archer accusing others of trolling. I honestly can’t remember ever wiping to EB in months except under local numbers disadvantage. You guys get wiped hard by Rawr, War, Badgers, etc every reset, and honestly these guilds do not even try very hard in this tier as there are no difficult opponents. Rawr went about 20-0 last week on T3 reset, even wiped FA and DB’s zergs 1v2 at one point. Which EB guilds are you so proud of? GH, FTF, pk are easy wipes in the open. Hell, our pugs can do that half the time.

Not sure why so many are ragging on CL either, they slaughtered you pretty well this Sunday even with your defenders advantage.

When you say people, do you mean you and ur 5man show up and roll one dude? Or are you saying you guys are doing a group vs group?

CL plays different maps than I do (due to guild sizes)- so I can’t speak for them but – I can say its would be pretty impressive to see you regularly beat Rawr or War open field in group fights.

Make sure to msg me in the evenings – let me know where you are (what BL) so i can position to meet up with you for hugs.

Not much of anyone was in EGB last night (at least until I went to sleep). Some treb operators. Some spotters. Handful of pugs defending SM. Seems to have worked despite “not having a good time” because SM finally just flipped now. Good to see that CD is finally awake.
