Why is holding 5-15 pts + farming the enemies zerg meaningless? It took yak 25 people, 3 trebs, 2 balistas and three arrow carts to retake a supply camp from what I think was 10 people, I would say those are the people contributing to the loss of your servers score sir. Let me ask you something too, what do you see SM as for yourself? Do you see it as the 30 points only that will add to the ppt and merely just siege away brainlessly? We go for SM because it is fun and when we hold it, it takes an army to get it back, and by that time we are tired and fat from all the loot we farmed.
Back capping. Do you understand how the score updates? Do you understand what those people holding you in are allowing the rest of us to do? Do you understand how little effort is required to take points when you’re pinned down / turtled like that? Small groups often take a number of points.
I’ve rarely seen effective counter siege from ebay so the biggest benefit from SM is moot. We just flip it so it’s defenses don’t get built up. Right now you guys are trying to siege OL from vista hill while we hold SM. That’s brainless.
It’s cool. I understand playing for fun. However, you talk about competition but seem intent on making excuses for avoiding it.
Honestly? As much as it grosses me out I agree with Archer. Holding SW camp and badge farming is great fun. We’ve had a similar situation where Kaineng had to bring like 30 people + siege to dislodge us. It was a lot of fun and our guild learned a valuable lesson. While I think ole boy should chill out on the forum trolling, I don’t think anyone should bash the guy for playing how he wants. He likes small team stuff. That’s his thing and he has fun doing it.

You’re right. I have been crapping on the forums in a personal little feud. I apologize.
Now you are just picking apart things to make them sound nice. I never said competition in terms of score, I said in open field combat. So you sent 25 people to take 1 supply camp while the others were busy doing what? Because it was the only red spot on the map and we held it for around 2 hours until yaks just gave up and sat outside bay. So fielding 25 people is easy for you then? So my point is proven, it’s just numbers?
Effective use of our numbers is the point. Something you and ebay aren’t doing. I know you like to cry zerg but ebay has been fielding solid numbers during NA primetime. Try leaving your comfort zone. How often do you work with the rest of your server?
Whenever they call, we answer. In terms of competition our squad just likes to kill and hold stuff, that doesn’t mean the rest of the server doesn’t like to go for points. In no way do I represent the ideals and beliefs of the server only of what my squad likes to do.

That’s cool, as they do have some of the more skilled thief players I’ve seen. Makes for some fun fights, except when I have to face 2 or 3 of you at once. Ouch… that’s when this ranger snow leopards and runs!

Thanks for compliment. We just transferred here a week ago. Being that the gem prices are about 2g per 100gems, a lot of my members have yet to transfer. It was maybe just 8-13 of us with some pugs who happen to be close by or following along.

Yeah, there are only ~8-14 of us at a time at the moment since we just transferred. And pugs will randomly follow us sometimes; We are just waiting for the rest of our members, which is only a few more.
Also, Faux came to our forums months ago, Subtle challenged him (EB) to GvG, and Faux became evasive and declined. Get your facts straight.
Evasive how? My post was about a Fight Club sort of deal which are 1v1s. Subtle messaged me about a GvG – which wasn’t what I was originally asking about. Your own moderator came to my defense when players started attacking the event I was trying to set up. When I talked to Subtle in PMs about it, we couldn’t schedule a time that matched both of our schedules. By that time, there were only two days left in the matchup, and the fight never happened. He was very polite the whole time, and so was I.
I tried a second time with GvG in mind and got only one response from [Yum]. When it came time for the fight (which I did gather players for), the timing was botched. I won’t lay blame anywhere because miscommunication happens. Time zones can be a kitten.
Please don’t toss around comments telling people to “get their facts straight” when yours aren’t as well.
People in this forum can call whatever they’d like “skill” and deny it to everyone else who does the same. I really don’t care, and I have no interest in being being part of these internet boxing matches. If anyone really wants to organize some fun events between guilds (fun events, none of this stupid “I hate you because you’re not on the same server as I am” bs), I’ve always been open to ideas – albiet a GvG night or sPvP stuff. We’ve got people who enjoy these things without the trash talk that always happens on the forums.

We don’t have as many thieves as you’d think either. I’d say a majority of our members you see in WvW are split between guardians/warriors/elementalists with sprinkle of mesmers and thieves here and there. And yes, like any other freakin thief in this game, they like to roam with their kitten stealth spam. There’s nothing new there for any thief in any guild.

I think you’ll find that we from Rawr will happily fight tooth and nail in the field. Patricide hits the nail on the head. I have limited time to play. I want to roll out with the guild, throw down some coordinated carnage with the boys and girls of Rawr, and have fun doing it. We don’t run from fights. If we get rolled we analyze it and work to correct it. We have coordinated teams inside of our guild. You might see a mob of Rawr coming at you but believe me when i tell you that at least half of that “zerg” has a specific plan. Our commanders are some of the best and well respected.
For us to go off and go 10v10 sure you’ll probably win, we don’t play that game. We’re there for the war. Plain and simple. Play the way you do Archer. Its your style and you obviously enjoy it, we do.

Yeah, fight my 10 man team who use bunker specs and are well rehearsed with siege usage and placement in the open field. You will slaughter them because that’s not what they are there for.

Also, Faux came to our forums months ago, Subtle challenged him (EB) to GvG, and Faux became evasive and declined. Get your facts straight.
Evasive how? My post was about a Fight Club sort of deal which are 1v1s. Subtle messaged me about a GvG – which wasn’t what I was originally asking about. Your own moderator came to my defense when players started attacking the event I was trying to set up. When I talked to Subtle in PMs about it, we couldn’t schedule a time that matched both of our schedules. By that time, there were only two days left in the matchup, and the fight never happened. He was very polite the whole time, and so was I.
I tried a second time with GvG in mind and got only one response from [Yum]. When it came time for the fight (which I did gather players for), the timing was botched. I won’t lay blame anywhere because miscommunication happens. Time zones can be a kitten.
Please don’t toss around comments telling people to “get their facts straight” when yours aren’t as well.
People in this forum can call whatever they’d like “skill” and deny it to everyone else who does the same. I really don’t care, and I have no interest in being being part of these internet boxing matches. If anyone really wants to organize some fun events between guilds (fun events, none of this stupid “I hate you because you’re not on the same server as I am” bs), I’ve always been open to ideas – albiet a GvG night or sPvP stuff. We’ve got people who enjoy these things without the trash talk that always happens on the forums.

This is true – For Faux Sake (i love that name) and I did talk – but schedules were not lining up. Both of us wanted to put best players on the map and we could not make it happen. Also note that For Faux Sake is a member on the yaksbend.com website and does contribute to our threads and our community

Echo squad’s leader(Tzenkai) is really picky with his members that’s why he’s only got 12 at the moment. They usually run with an average of 7 members though.
Ehmry Bay currently only has 3 guilds that can rally more than 40 players. That’s FTF, GH, and PK. With the recent loss of some guilds, these 3 guilds tried to get as much people to wvw as they can by recruiting them to their guilds.This resulted in our members’ over all quality as far as skill is involved to go down. Our guild is freakin’ averaging 100 online every night! So we divided FTF into squads and assigned squad leaders to manage and train their members according to their playstyle.

That’s two things you guys have an advantage over us.
