The only thing i don’t like about TC is how much they abuse perma stealth and mesmers to ninja keeps/SMC. On reset night it happened at least twice, where they would port their whole zerg straight into SMC and take it in seconds.

I’m sure organising something like that takes skill to pull off, but it feels so cheap and doesn’t make me think very highly of TC at all (although I may be jaded from the amount of time I spend chasing kitten thieves in SMC).

Apart from that great matchup as usual. FA even started dropping some rares for me!

Haha, this is one of my favorite things about TC. I’ve run a couple stealth “missions” as a mesmer with duel thieves keeping us invisible. It’s very tense, and very fun.

I wouldn’t call it “cheap,” simply because it takes a significant amount of skill to pull of. It’s very mobile (often running RIGHT by enemies multiple times without their knowing), and requires heavy coordination between the group, as well as continual, well timed ability usage to keep the group stealthed. If you can keep a group of three running around and stealthed for 5 minutes or more…you deserve that piece of property, imho. And some people go for a lot longer than five minutes.

It’s certainly a lot more impressive than bashing a door down with a golem and taking something with a zerg…

Guess I disagree. At least golems allow you a certain amount of time to respond and are a significant supply invesment. Portalling through a wall to kill the keep lord 30v1 seems less impressive to me than busting your way through with seige.

PINK I’m curious if you guys are interested in some 20 vs 20 some point this week?

After watching that last video the only thing I am certain of is that the ranger is by far one of the most boring classes to play. Mash 1, strafe, strafe, 5, swap to sb, strafe, roll back, how can you play that class on a daily basis?

There are many different ways to play ranger. Thats how you play it in zerg v zerg where mobility, condition removal, survival and tagging are the key. I <3 ranger. As for coordination, it just requires trusting your scouting, mesmers, and commander to make the right calls.

The scene is set on a dark night, in FA’s BL. Alshazzar hears that FA keeps plenty of rum, wenches, and gold in their Bay Keep, and decides to take it for himself. He enlists the help of two landlubbers wishing to be deckhands, Rhyme and Mister Cheng.

“Ahoy ye landlubbers! Ye lads be ready ‘ta go on ’da mission ye be recruited ’fer ’ta capture ’da enemies Bay Keep? There be plenty o’ ale ’n plunder behind ’da walls, as well as a few FA wenches ’ta be had!”, says Alshazzar.

“Umm…Aye captain!”, says Rhyme, who wonders if he knows what he got himself in to.

“Pull up ’da anchor and set ’da sails Cheng!”, says Al. Al looks out over ‘da waters with a scowl. "I be lookin ’ta make ’da big time lubbers! Tonights plunder will be ’da greatest o’ ’dem all!"

“Sir?”, says Rhyme. “I’m glad ye brought us along, but what be our roles ‘n ’da takin o’ FA plunder?”

“Well”, says Al, “Tonight ye lads be sneakin in’ta ’da bay after we open ’da water gate, and ye lads be goin in ’ta ’da keep, takin ’da guards out, ’n bring back ’da plunder ’ta ’da boat!”

Cheng, who has been silently rowing, looks up and asks, “So, Rhyme and I go in, take the loot, and come back. What will you be doing?”

Al looks sharply at Cheng and replies, “Well I be commandin o’ course!” Al then huffs and turns back out to the water. “Here we are boys”, says Al. “Rhyme, avast ‘n climb ’da rocks o’ ’da keep and take out ’da guards!”

Rhyme, as he was ready ’ta make ’da ascent, slipped off the boat.

“Rhyme ye blimey idiot! Now ’da whole plot be ruined”, yelled Al!

“I got this”, said Cheng. Cheng pulled out his staff and hit the guard with a lightning surge. Mister Cheng smirked as the guard collapsed and fell back into the water.

“Ok Rhyme”, said Al. “If ye expectin ’ta be a pirate, ye need ’ta act like a pirate! Now go ’n fetch ’da keys from ’da guard.”

Rhyme nodded and jumped in the water. The water bubbled around the boat, and as one minute turned to two, Al and Mister Cheng became worried. Just as Al was about to jump in the water to see what happened, Rhyme came to the surface.

“Yarr ye fool! What took ye so long ye blasted lubber?”, said Al as he was shaking his head.

Rhyme, shivering from the cold water, pipped up, “Sssooorrry captain, the water is ccoldd.”

Al first looks at Rhyme with scorn, but then with a smile, “So ye get the key lad?”, he asked.

“Aye captain, here it is.”, says Rhyme.

You guys must be tired of running from point to point if you guys react to every call made in team chat. I would get sick of running that much. I guess its preferred to just listen to our scouts in mumble.

Also FA since when does NA primetime start at 3pm!!! You guys started really early today, BT, RET, ZN, GODS all of you guys were out on TCBL. I have to go to bed after defending Hills in TCBL for so many hours. Is it because of spring break / school holidays that FA’s primetime is starting this early?

Would someone from TC who plays in the SEA time against Meow/WM send me a PM? I noticed you guys kept your garrison this morning, and I’m looking for some advice as to how you managed that. Over on FABL we faced at least 50 KN invaders who (after we took out their 5 golems) just dps’ed the door down, so there was nothing our 15 defenders could do.

It’s a little frustrating to say the least, so I’m wondering if you guys are doing something differently than we are, have more people, or just aren’t getting as much attention because KN wants to keep us down in points.

Btw this is not a “Night Capping” or “PvD” complaint, I am just looking for information and this is the best possible forum to do so.

Awesome, I’ve always wanted to do that. An idea for next time – just keep jumping off, running/porting back up and jumping off, a continual rain of RET. lol I guess you’d need some decoys down below to position the targets, but still, would be worth trying to pull off.
