Garrison was madness last night. What I think Pinot (Thresher) was referring to is the meager organized numbers we had. Very difficult to fend off roughly 80+ enemies with about 40 organized and 40 with the predictability of a herd of cats. No doubt the numbers were even, but it made life hard going. The fight was basically a stalemate up until you all decided to sell. I feel like that was the turning point. [SG], [SF], and [WARD] all on the same map sure made us feel special given that you are 3 of the 4 guilds I consider to be very talented from your server
Other people may get upset about an unorganized 2v1 from current map conditions and even more would get upset if it were organized, but all I can say is, “Bring it on.”
Here on Blackgate, being the gateway to the underworld, we’ve been to hell and back already, so all a 2v1 means is twice the potential bags in a map.
Please bring KnT over to the SoR BL. We are quite tired of the BG guild(s) that you are sending there. At least we know KnT will turn and fight.
It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately at the end (for me) I saw a wall of names running in slow motion toward me and couldn’t move myself anymore or swap skills, so I had to bow out. Need to adjust the settings again so I can actually stay in the game and FIGHT!

Oh, it wasn’t a criticism or anything. I just love the fact that I can play now with that many people around the area. Imagine if they actually throw some hardware at the lag problem.
It was definitely strange when it happened because for the better part of the fight I had no issues at all. It may very well have been a hiccup on my end. Regardless it was the first big epic battle I’ve been in (outside of SM, that is) and I had a great time while it lasted!
To the SoR ppl that hopped down in the circle to prevent the cap for BG, you guys are handicapped, you could have let us cap, then come back and flip the keep as paper.

Think all 3 servers can get a flame train all the way around the map? If it caps at 132 on flame rams and you can only build five per x radius, you would have to somewhat space the rams apart to not have an overlay in siege. This means we’ll have like 396 flame rams to span the circumference of the map.

I was gonna call you a liar Jed and say that you failed on a weekly basis in your quest to beat Sea of Sorrows back when you were on SBI, but then I saw the qualifier of the statement, “map.” You should’ve been in JQ Bay keep tonight instead of in BG Garrison. I always prefer SBI loot bags to JQ ones.

When Jed says I was running havoc.. I was duoing with a fellow SF thief last night only. We had the same success usually reserved for typical 5man operations though since everyone and their mother was in Garrison.

Nothing to be careful of. You recruit until you have better coverage then the guy ahead of you. This is how wuvwuv works at the top tiers, isn’t this known?

It is not often we have 30 to 40 during asian timezone. I know that during NA timezone there are around 60 to 100 in wvw but i dont get to play during NA timezone because I have to work.

A stronger SoR will benefit everyone in T1.
SoR is at least as strong as BG. This was proven by them coming in second last week. According to SoR posters, not a single one of them put in any overtime last week so that was their normal coverage.

Lots of overtime was had. Many major guilds on SoR also ran NA events in Asian time zone(people were told to wake up early if they are on the east coast). It’s actually become the norm now to help out our Asians who lack the numbers until we get more transfers.

That would be an achievement in gw2 if it was done. When Jed and gang did it on SBI months ago, we had it from north camp to NE tower before we hit the max.
On another note Jed, have you and SF fully converted to JQ? I was thinking of starting a recall campaign for ex-sbi wvwers. Since AGG is no longer there for SF to smash and fights in T4 being more in the gvg style then skill lag zergs of t1, I thought you guys might consider.

Give us till next week and we should be at full force. Tsym is moving over tomorrow while AFS said they were moving over on the 8th.
Can’t tell if serious. We were running insta-queue before we were in inner. I’m not sure what BG was at but it certainly wasn’t much less than us on a favorable estimate 0_o
There was probably in the range of 60-70 Blackgate, but of those only 30-40 were actually fighting. I’m not sure why the rest weren’t running back (The WP timer was off anywhere from 10 sec to 1 minute, easier to just hoof it) but we few were the ones who held of both JQ and SOR’s massive zergs.
Once SOR retreated the skill lag seemed to recede. I can’t wait (hope) until Anet decides to upgrade their hardware so all of us can play inside the hot mess that is Garrison inner.
Hopefully SoR gains enough confidence to strive for #1 with the transfers by helping reduce JQ’s ppt as much as they can during certain timezones. I think the score will be much more tighter between all 3 servers if this is the case.

If and when SoR gains enough assurance to help reduce JQ’s ppt during these timezones, the scores will be much more closer. BG will have a lot more breathing space & everyone will be on their toes.

the score is always close between 10k to 20k, that can be done in one night. Can BG stop dreaming about a third server who is going to make them king, if you want to be king earn it yourself . sor is hitting evenly jq and bg, and with their new numbers nothing will change they will hit both jq and bg.

Its nothing, just the same thing every day and night. Its all good though, I leveled up in WvW xp three levels tonight. That’s about a level every hour to hour and a half lol. We certainly don’t have to run far for a battle, thats for sure.

During aussie prime time yesterday we hit JQ more often than we hit BG. Yes we did attack black gate a few times but we spent most of our time flipping wild creek and aldons.
I dunno what happened after aussie prime time ended but by the time i logged for the night but most of our force had fallen back to SoR bl and was planning on just trying to hold our three upgraded keeps.

I never said SoR never hits JQ. I said the general nature of the competition during the time I’m on is very JQ vs. BG. The defensiveness is hardly necessary.

Honestly though, the wheel of tier one forum hate has been stuck on 2v1 a bit too long now. I’m surprised it hasn’t gotten to hacking, gvg arguments, or coverage wars yet.

This is just idle speculation, which is what I am best at, but it strikes me that SoR likes to feed on the tears of children. The closest thing you’ll find in this game to the tears of children are the 2v1 posts on forums. The more you post complaining about how SoR is the root of your problem, the more SoR will love devouring your pain.
