That Briar battle in FA BL last night was awesome. BT are the masters of defending the tower. I give them huge props for the excellent defense there. I’ve got a few things up my sleeve if we run into this situation again and I hope I get to try them. In the end, they built up a huge force and swept out to eliminate us. The interesting thing was, after the challenge had gone away, they moved elsewhere for more fun. You can tell they enjoy the combat of the game and a good challenge, so even though they hate us, I respect them highly.

TSL has been on TC since release. From what I understand, they are a very old guild that started many years ago. I know for sure they have some great commanders and we are lucky to have them.

Just give em that. It’s really getting old now and obvious. Just congratulate em, and let em have this. :p

That briar stand off was great! We weren’t going to go in there and let you farm us. BT was persistent with their tricks to get us to rush in too. EDIT: I was just thinking back to how awesome BTs zerg movements are. So fun to watch them swirl around us before the portal comes.

Had a blast today. We made a small size group consisting of WM and Meow giving FA and TC their moneys worth. the amount of ppl we had vs Massive TC and FA zerg was just a amazing effort. I have captured few of them and may post it.

He lead us into that pack of Minotaurs north of Bay Keep thinking it was a BT Zerg…. He then told us that he got 50 badges from that one battle…

I really enjoy the dynamic on TC right now. Our commanders not only work together well, but they enjoy it.

there was a combined Meow/WM group roaming in EB earlier, but try as we might with our few a number, and we won many battles, we cannot win the war with a rejuvenated TC/FA

Indeed we did have alot more than 10, probably around 20-25. We were happy to keep the FA zerg up in north as we had a DIS group working down south. We were not going to leave that camp until it flipped. Eventually the FA militia started to stop donating bags and numbers dwindled down to about 10-15 FA for our final push into the supervisor.

Overall the whole night in FABL was a blast last night. Love the fights with BT. We caught your portals a few times and gave you a good wiping, other times your portals caught us and you looted us swiftly. The Briar standoff was pretty epic. Right away I told everyone that you were just in there to farm us like you’d done so many nights already and we decided that with the PPT around 320+ we’d be happy to sit outside.

I’d love to have BT on our map every night.

I had fun yesterday. Thanks TC and FA! My current alt I’m working on went level 70-77 yesterday. Those last 10 levels are so painful because you’re just ready to smash some faces in and you’re juuuust not there yet.

TC was not very nice to our BL but that’s ok. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Hills flip so many times within a 2 hour period. One time we flipped it a millisecond before the TC wave smashed into us. Then you guys wiped us out and waited for the lord to debuff and flipped it back. I’m pretty sure that was the shortest time we’ve ever held it. Was still a victory on our end considering the day hadn’t been going so hot overall.

Also, thank you to commanders Sano, Sarabi, Chips, and Luccent for putting in some crazy hours yesterday. I’m sure there were other commanders on too but I’ve never claimed to have a great memory.

Definitely noticed a change in some of your tactics last night around the tower fight. Between having the force to the north of the tower pulling people off of the walls to being more observant of portals in the ruins (you definitely stomped a few of the portals), we saw a bit of change in your tactics. Looking forward to seeing your other new strats and tricks. A few of us have added cookie trays to ours, just don’t mind the portals around them.

After that tower stand off, quite a few of us ended up logging for the night. It was definitely a night with some intense action.

As for hating DIS, I can’t speak on the guild’s behalf but I can personally say I do not. We see you guys on the open field more often than not and you’re not afraid to fight. As your quoted post and last night’s tower stand off shows, you adjust tactics, which in turn will make us adjust ours or come up with new ones. You force us to get betters which I appreciate and respect.

I would like to see footage from the FA slaughter at the supply camp.

We will send the footage over to you so that you can cut your teeth in the editing room. There is plenty of footage so I’m really looking forward to seeing what you do with all of it.

Make sure that you get at least one shot of me running into the circle with Alodar against ~30+ FA who were unable to kill us.

I was down there for one round of action but my lvl 30 ele didn’t hold up well against the tidal wave of TC rolling off the rez pad over and over. I leave that stuff for the big lvl 80’s. Ill see what i can post though.

Chris, I see nothing here except light banter and compliments as well as some rather accurate stories from last night. It’s all good for the most part.

BT is extremely good at using chokepoints and its because of their group composition (heavy necros) THOSE MARKS and other neat tricks as well. I seen many TC militia groups get wiped to that (FABL Bay, southern towers @ TCBL). There are ways to counter it but requires pretty good coordination and movement.

One could also go the easy route and use on the fly siege to make them slightly uncomfortable with holding the choke but this is obviously very situational as well as dependent on each structure.

Back to Basics.

Since my return last week from a 3 month MIA, I have noticed an advanced level of open field fighting between zergs. This is great and I am glad to see this change. But one night I was not commanding to see how things go in this tier, one thing I noticed was we went one whole tick without even taking a supply camp. Sure it was very fun wiping other zergs on the battleground, but with the PPT as pathetic as it is some people need to reevaluate their priorities IMO.

Im not trying to start drama on KN, but I do want to point out that objectives should outweigh zerg hunting.

Also, I have not noticed any gorilla squads, like when we were in DH in T6. Or any defensive teams, like when RE was in DH in t5…There is a lot more to WvW than zerg hunting which seems most of my guildies have forgetten since I been gone.

Yall have any idea how fullfiling and effecient it is to repell attacks on a tower or keep with 4 other people against 60 man zergs for 6-8 hours with expert defensive seige placement?

Yall have any idea how effective ORGANIZED 5 man teams have for a guild zerg to coordinate ojectives accross maps simotaneusly with, flank with, scout with, bait with, yak cuttoff routes, can be in WvW?

Oh, and if your in RE and your following some other non guild commander but me when I command, thats like a slap in the face to me.

^^ … that … I second. Somewhere along the way, the ppt game got a little “maybe later” mentality. It’s actually smarter and stronger to do so, take a lesson from TC during there gripes. I know there are a few dedicated group squads and I could name for example. Ai, and sB as two prime examples. They do a fine job. Would love to see more.

Also I am a firm disbeliever in sticking to ‘x’ maps. The mega zergs I’ve seen from our opponents always hop to pull people off maps…. it’s a solid strategy.

Sometimes if you can’t do it on your map your on, then why not port over to the opponents bl, run some camps and hit a hills or gar, pull them off your map and objectives. I knew many old commanders who did this well. And never … see this done anymore. Everything is very predictable, and I’m curious what our opponents think, whether things are predictable or not.

Example, last night KBL … when eventually it was time to hit bay, it felt as if the timer on that window ran out, and gave them enough time to go mash up some points in EB.

Would love to see some teams playing more the points game (and I don’t expect keeps included, TC zerg has that on lock down).

We did better last night, but still will need to consider some small steps to help.

Congratulations TC on filling some of your coverage gap. Now if we could just get some people to transfer to KN during NA prime time and keep them from dropping to T3 we’d be good to go. It has been a blast fighting against the two of you these last few weeks. I really hate to see you guys (KN) drop to T3 since unless DB has received quite a few transfers they will probably get blown out here in T2. We tend to not fight for ppt as much as most servers here on FA, more about the fights and having fun, but we do make sure we keep enough to not drop back down to a lower bracket so that we can keep the good fights going.

Speaking of trebs…here’s a little hot treb action from KNBL last night. People always ask why most of my videos feature us killing FA, and I have looked back and found to my surprise, it’s true. Must be some cosmic coincidence. Enjoy us killing some of our friends on Kaineng for a change

I find it funny how there are comments like “Kain dont give up” and “we dont want you to leave” and yet you dont touch each others bl and just take over our bl… funny.

Well at this rate we’ll be seeing T3 in week or two. good playing with FA and TC, some great fights as well.
