yea ebay doesn’t bother with AR because AR isn’t a threat. i have yet see AR hold any keep in Ebay BL.

AR is only eating scraps.. and while those scraps are sorta working for them, i can’t see how it’s much fun.

BP takes and holds Ebay BL..for 24 hours… and AR eats the scraps left over in Eternal.

BP could easily just decide.. heck lets hit AR and push for 2nd… but what would be the point of that? AR and BP just focusing on each other doesn’t hurt the 1st place zerg server.. just helps them stay in first.

BP focusing on Ebay, just leaves ar to eat the scraps, which still keeps ebay in 1st, but at least keeps the scores closer

AR and BP focusing on Ebay at the same time, brings the tier in an overall line of balance, it’s much better fun for everyone.

Someone from ebay visited our thread, might as well return the favor! I liked fighting in this tier against guilds like GH, FTF, Sekz, GOAT, and ECHO. Many good fights were to be had, but sadly our tier was in a tier we didn’t belong in for a long time, I wanted to fight AR to see those sPvP guys, but one can only hope. Oh and we liked fighting(eating) those BP zergs as well

-Ebay, Borlis Pass is the only server that constantly hits you in this tier. It’s sad but true, i have yet to see AR even any keeps in your BL. With that i wonder what your server prefers.. a server that actually engages you daily, always pressing the fight, even if we aren’t generating points to move up a placement.. or a server that cowers and just lets you eat them all up?

we have around 20 on reset night. for the grand majority of the week, we run with around 12-15 due to school/work. it only seems like we have a lot more numbers because your guild dies so fast. if you were a small roaming guild out looking for small fights, we wouldn’t even bother with you.

let’s not kid ourselves…BP WAR isn’t some skilled group of 5-10 players getting zerged down all the time. you guys have numbers too…except your leaders don’t know what to do with them so you guys just get transformed into badges.

furthermore, “chest bumping” implies BP WAR is somewhat on the same level as Sekz….which is a misconception nobody shares in this tier due to your dismal record against us. “heel grinding” would be a much more accurate description.

let’s be honest about BP “pressing the fight” to EBay. BP only “presses the fight” to EBay in the wee hours of the morning when EBay mostly goes to sleep. neither BP or AR do much of any pushing during primetime. EBay wiped your entire BL green…primetime on reset night.

so, no…BP doesn’t push us. what we want are zergs of yak’s bend caliber. it’s not very interesting wiping your guild in seconds. it’s just funny. punching babies isn’t what we signed up for when we left NSP for better zergs. so now we’re just stuck collecting free kills and badges till we can game the ranking system and escape.

i haven’t recorded video in weeks. nobody in my guild/server wants to watch highlights of BP and AR groups getting dumpstered because they can’t fight back. it’s been a serious problem for Sekz since, as a guild, nobody bothers playing at their best anymore.

You realize we transferred from a red server specifically TO a red server, right? We WANT GOOD FIGHTS and those are typically found when you’re losing and getting pushed hard. If we’re losing overall, but at least we have opposition who will come out and put up a strong fight, we’re ecstatic. We know very well that EBay has and will struggle in T4 due to our massive coverage gaps, but primetime? Our server will easily make green and blue pay for territory in vats of blood (and badges in our bags). You guys talk as if we’re going to be sad getting spanked in T4. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Bullying you guys is seriously less interesting than me logging off my necro to catch my daily Shadow Behemoth tag on my baby mesmer. Coming from a die hard DAoC ganker who cried rivers when ToA forced PvE on the PvP population, that is truly, truly a shame.

Also, Sekz members only showed up to “chest thump” when Walabone decided to get uppity and not know his place by crowing about making some small guilds run away. I guess if you get dumpstered that hard week after week after week, even small victories are important. It’s nothing but excuses with your guild. Weeks ago, it was “we never fight you at full strength.” So we fought you earlier for at least two resets now (with the same result of crushing your group in seconds). Then it turned into, “we’re casuals,” and yet you folks posture on the forums as if your guild were an organized, legitimate threat. Now, it’s “we’re always outnumbered by the Sekz zerg, boo hoo.” I know very well that we both record videos. Under strength, even numbers, outnumbered…the result with you guys is always the same. Please stop with the delusion that you would “put up a good fight if only we could fight Sekz with our full strength.” Stop making excuses and get good, please…and I don’t even mean this snidely. You’ve had weeks of attending in this tier with Sekz school in session and the change/improvement is minimal. At least we see an evolution in good flanking from AR WAR (then again, I’ve always found AR to be a more credible threat fighting-wise even when we were on NSP), even though they are plagued with the same issue you guys have: drivers that have little to no idea what they’re doing and an almost comical hesitancy (I suppose that goes hand in hand with point #1). When I heard you guys came from Warhammer, I was hoping for a more nuanced and skilled response (seeing as how it was DAokittene) in open field battles. Evidently, that was misplaced.

It’s so boring fighting you guys I don’t even bother using anything but staff 1 and 2 on my necro to tag you guys for loot bags ASAP before you guys get dumpstered. At least with AR WAR, I’ll use 1-5. The end result, of course, is that both of you guys die in seconds, but at least they are constantly pushing to improve and at least making me work for my dumpstering. There’s no shame in being casual, but at least stop acting as if you guys were a skilled group. You guys eat pugs, we eat you. I’m sure at some point we’ll run into a group that really pushes us to the limit. There’s always yet another peak to climb and I think it’s patently obvious to everyone that Sekz won’t fight that group in this matchup. We dearly miss ADQQSty from DR. Win or lose, those were generally ALWAYS good fights. With you guys, we literally have a “beekeeping” plan where we fight you with no armor or only autoattacks so you guys will get an ego boost win and want to come out and fight instead of show up all ragged and demoralized and die on engage. The sad thing is, I think our GL is actually even halfway serious about throwing fights now.

After logging in and reading what’s become of this thread already tonight, I couldn’t agree with you more. Sadly it really seems to be a handful of really annoying people who ruin it for everyone else and the more reasonable people who just want to have fun are sick of these weekly threads being dominated by negativity.

Its one thing to have a little trakittenalking to hype up competition when its done in good fun, and its another thing to be a sore-loser or an arrogant winner. I guess this is why the threads keep getting locked , which looks likely to continue until some of the repeat offenders are muted.

I found a carebear! These creatures are indigenous to being bad, but nice because of it, they are what you call khao, which is soft white rice in lukewarm water. It has no taste. Befitted to small babies and very old people. It is nourishment that everyone can digest. The world needs khao, just as the world needs people like carebears.

Actually, I feel the same way as Stone does, and when I dueled you on your mesmer (3 weeks ago?) it was 3-1-1 in favor of yours’ truly (and the draw only because I was experimenting with S/D). Being from BP, this thread leads me to believe I am inherently bad … so what does that make you? ;P

Seems my simple post hit a nerve that cause such a response. And possibly just proves my point more so. So what we see here is, the daily seks group in wvw is 15 players. reset night is 20 players… the reset night on [WAR] on avg is 10-15. daily, well, we don’t run groups daily. The few days that we do run would be 5-10 players.

It is a bit funny that a guild that doesn’t even run consistent groups daily in wvw, is still something you feel you need to stroke your ego with. We play for fun, for the fun that was from the days of DAOC and WARhammer. You guys play to try to move up a tier. So i guess, you can keep farming more gold, or buying more gems, and keep server hopping your way to the top!

Question. Looking back at the historical matches, BP had only lost to AR once prior to the EB/BP/AR matchup in tier 5. And while a couple of those victories were close, BP also blew the doors off of them a couple times as well. But since entering T5 with us, AR seems much more organized and gritty than BP. What changed for you guys?

New pop influx? Thrill of rising a tier? New enemy? Learned new tactics from new enemies since separating from BP?

Just wanted to pop in and say way to abuse a bug EBay. Using the leg specialist trait on the warriors to lockdown people with the AC’s. It’s a bug and you’re abusing it. Classy.

Zuer, it’s not like they can avoid using it, as some players don’t come onto the forums and aren’t even aware of that bug. If we’re lucky that’ll get patched soon. And it’s still better than people exploiting their way into keeps and taking them without people knowing (which I’ve heard reports of a very small amount of players on every side doing this).

Evidently, reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit. Who said anything about “playing to go up a tier?” We transferred here when EBay was red and we’re staying here because we love the community and, I hope, they love us. All we want are good fights and you’ll simply have to excuse us if we’re sick and tired of bullying baddies week after week. Also, crying about a 5 person difference is hilarious. We hit zergs of 50-60 with our 15-20. Clearly, you guys don’t know how to do anything but zerg surf in Warhammer.

Everybody on EB loves you as far as I know Sekz. And for some reason sometimes I feel slightly bad whenever I see you guys going after an enemy force…because we know they’ll die fast…but then I see that thief purposefully contesting all our waypoints and then I feel like they deserve it.

Wow, that’s quite the argument I started. Not my intention, I apologize for starting a crap storm.

Honestly I just felt like AR plays at a very similar level to BP, there doesn’t seem to be a huge skill gap between you, and yet recent history shows BP winning over and over. I was just confused. It doesn’t really matter what EBay is doing to who, I’m just looking at what I see in individual battles and from overall standpoint watching tactics of the two groups. AR either was getting shafted in lower tiers, or they found new strength in this one. If it was the latter I was curious as to what the exact source was. My thinking was my own server might do with a dose of the same type of motivation if it could be mustered.

Edit: To add though, based on what came out of the door on reset, maybe we’ve finally found our motivation as a group again?

Lol, all these BP forum trashing AR. Its been a while since they have had a loosing streak like this, so you will have to excuse them. As for the history lesson, please allow a voice from AR to present the story for once, since BP only seems to focus on the parts that make them look good:

BP and AR have played each other for 19 weeks total, only being in different tiers 7 weeks. AR started off on top, and while we didn’t win 1st place we beat them for 2 weeks. At this point GoM entered the tier, and the dark days of BP/AR began. BP got an influx of transfers. It was a noticeably larger force and everyone called them out on it, but BP denied it and stated it was all skill. At T7, its a slap in the face to not admit you got numbers on another server, so yeah, AR was mad. They became our mortal enemy, and though they stomped us, we kept fighting and even chased them up the tiers when we had a dead server (ET) and a dying server (GoM) come into our tier. We got a few folks, and openly admitted it to them, our first time getting 1st place, that it was an empty one.

We established ourselves in T6, by beating NSP on numbers (Kaineg had begun swelling), but couldn’t match DR. We faced NSP and DH in AR’s first real victory. It was a hard fought match because we were still thirsty to chase BP and have our revenge. Sadly the week after was Kaineg. Meaning that we would have to wait another week before enacting vengeance.

Meanwhile, BP had suffered a staggering defeat in the tiers above us, and a few of their more sizable guilds had betrayed them and left, leaving BP vulnerable and leaving them to face the fact that their ascent had been due to numbers. This being said, BP showed a lot of spirit rebuilding and moving on. and they have earned a lot of respect from AR for that imho.

The week after Kaineg was AR’s first chance to really get back at BP for the empty claims of superiority they gave as they lectured us week in and week out before they left. They still had numbers on us, but AR was kitten and fought for the closest victory (I think) in WvW history, only passing BP in the final hours before reset, and holding the victory by less than 500 points. It was cathartic for the server, because it felt like we had finally proven ourselves to be a worthy opponent to BP, and almost all the bad blood between us stopped.

Following that NSP decided they wanted to talk smack and make the same “we’re better than you” chest thumping that BP had done on their way up, and BP, having their ego’s checked from the above servers and now by their rival, really buckled down and got back to the core of their server: a proud group of skilled players that always look forward to the next challenge. They changed and adapted their tactics to beat us the next week, and even though we led the whole week long for the weeks to come, a determined few of them led an all night charge for points to overtake us by Friday morning and hold us off to win. NSP started mouthing off, and claiming that AR was letting them win. We were definitely not, but we weren’t willing to stay up all Thursday night just to assure victory. In my humble opinion, AR has never cared about getting first, only about good fights and earning respect from our enemies. We will keep it close on the scoreboard so they cant use it as evidence of our failures, but beyond that, its all about the fight. If thats “playing for second”, than so be it.

Because of the smack talk happening in the forum, an inside joke arose of the “Brolis Rock Plans and Phases Commission”, a nod to NSP’s alliance conspiracy, and in the final week of the matchup, decided to capitalize on NSP’s falling rank, Dark Haven’s rise, and IOJ’s freefall through the tier to pretend that it was all orchestrated by the BRP&PC. NSP got knocked out of the tier, DH moved up, and BP racked up a substantial amount of points, putting them in position to move up to T5, leaving a substantial point gain bounty for beating IOJ in T6 for AR to follow.

We guessed right, and everything happened like expected. (NOTE: expected; not planned) AR moved up soon after and the current T5 was formed.

As for AR over-passing BP, while I think its presumptuous of BP to claim we haven’t been getting hit as hard, Kalkz has been talking enough smack to somewhat justify those claims. However, Kalks directing hate towards BP hardly constitutes AR being a lapdog. We attack them just as much, but they usually have the numbers to hold us off, which is why you see less of their things flipping blue.

I’d consider it a tragedy if BP fell into T6. They deserve to be here just as much as AR. They still have a smallish numbers margin on AR (I suspect we might have picked up a few bandwagoner’s from our sPvP prowess that got lost and found themselves in WvW), though with BP being in 3rd, their spirits have been failing. (I’d assume because BP has gotten used to winning)

This being said, BP needs to stop making themselves the target of Ebay and stop throwing blame our way. Pick yourselves up and make those changes like you did the week after we beat you. Don’t give up and drop to a lower tier for easy fights. That’s not the BP I know.

I hereby reinstitute the Brolis Rock Planning and Phase Commission back into full opperation! Begin PHASE 1!

Despite all the trash talking a couple of things are pretty clear.

1. EB and BP are not in the same weight class. EB has bigger zergs……better strategy ….better small man groups….better at siege…far far better at defense (BP are the karma/xp kings). Pretty obvious EB is bored. Like a cat playing with a mouse. Turning the map green at rollover was very impressive.

2. AR reminds me of a slightly stronger NSP. NSP tactics ? They use a dart board to choose their next target. Numerous times the past couple of weeks it seems like AR has borrowed the dart board. Either that or it is true they are EB lapdogs.

This is a tough tier for BP and AR. EB should be in a higher tier. Unfortunately when they move up, the server that moves down would also be too strong for the tier. BP is too good for the lower tier. A bit of a catch 22 for both BP and EB.

AR is a much bigger threat than BP will ever be because, they are better players. You haven’t taken anything from us in prime time in weeks, only when we are asleep (fact). In addition, your server has been caught many times glitching through keeps/towers. In fact while we are busy defending last night/this morning from Kalkz trying to nightcap, AR took a lot of our stuff in eternal, happy with your 2v1?

Actually i have a pretty good feel for this sort of thing, you guys will fall down to tier 6, DH will move up and do well, we’ll have some fun fights. Meanwhile down in tier 6 sorrows furnace will get up into the tier the same week you guys go down or 1 week after that and stomp a mud hole in you guys. I think you may find yourselves stuck in tier 6 for a while.

ps. i know the matchup site doesn’t show it yet.. but i expect IoJ to go into negative numbers before the end of the week.. they don’t have enough coverage to hold on against DH and devonas…. once they lose points sorrows moves up, and if IoJ has lost points that means DH made a lot of points… boom there goes BP to tier 6 vs devona and sorrows.

I think it’s safe to say that a majority of the AR/BP/Sekz are tired of seeing the same people over and over again. I know we’ve been fighting Anvil for 4 months now and BP for 3 and a half now I think.

While we do enjoy testing our limits against 40-60+ zergs, we transferred to Ehmry, the red server, to fight against Yak’s and Maguuma’s skill groups. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the only group that managed to give us that fight are ADQQBSTY.

As for the forum warriors in my guild, every server has one, and they help make our thread look active. Rather than taking things personally, just throw your text punches and have fun.

I find this thread is like a soap opra that I watch a little more than I should. This week is by far the most funny one though, keep up the good work guys.

Okay, seriously. The moderators what some constructive conversations in these threads. But we can’t play nice soo.. lets just not have a thread this week, or any in the foreseeable future. Everyone gets it. We all hate each other. Lets take that hate to the field, not behind walls of text.

After logging in and reading what’s become of this thread already tonight, I couldn’t agree with you more. Sadly it really seems to be a handful of really annoying people who ruin it for everyone else and the more reasonable people who just want to have fun are sick of these weekly threads being dominated by negativity.

Its one thing to have a little trakittenalking to hype up competition when its done in good fun, and its another thing to be a sore-loser or an arrogant winner. I guess this is why the threads keep getting locked , which looks likely to continue until some of the repeat offenders are muted.

I found a carebear! These creatures are indigenous to being bad, but nice because of it, they are what you call khao, which is soft white rice in lukewarm water. It has no taste. Befitted to small babies and very old people. It is nourishment that everyone can digest. The world needs khao, just as the world needs people like carebears.

Seems my simple post hit a nerve that cause such a response. And possibly just proves my point more so. So what we see here is, the daily seks group in wvw is 15 players. reset night is 20 players… the reset night on [WAR] on avg is 10-15. daily, well, we don’t run groups daily. The few days that we do run would be 5-10 players.

It is a bit funny that a guild that doesn’t even run consistent groups daily in wvw, is still something you feel you need to stroke your ego with. We play for fun, for the fun that was from the days of DAOC and WARhammer. You guys play to try to move up a tier. So i guess, you can keep farming more gold, or buying more gems, and keep server hopping your way to the top!

We play for fun too. But you guys don’t even want to try to learn. So it’s more annoying when ai is more challenging than BP. [Sekz] is all for GvG if you guys want to improve.

I am sorry about the lap-dog comment, that was uncalled for, but there is no denying that we (BP) have been focused by EBay recently. EBay admits it, people from AR admit it, I mean just look at the maps during reset last night! ALL of BP BL was green, and I only occasionally saw a camp or tower flip green in AR. You can argue that AR are the better defenders if you want (they probably are) … but so much better that they can keep from losing anything substantial when faced with the same odds that we do day in and day out? I think not. BP and AR haven’t changed that much in the 2-3 weeks we were apart in T5/T6.

One thing everyone needs to understand is that Kalkz IS NOT BP. Kalkz is just a forum troll and a commander. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kalkz occasionally commands at night time (his morning) and does capture keeps but he is not the only one doing it. We have many other Oceanic commanders who are amazing.

@ Sekz saying we’re not improving. I beg to differ. You see us not improving but we see us improving and that’s all that matters.

@Rashagal, BP did not get any transfers (when we were in tier 8/7) and I will deny it to this day.

I don’t recall AR ever taking any of your keeps at any time of the day (outside of reset.. Good job btw). It’s always BP that actually tries to take your keeps at any time of the day, NOT AR.

I’d like to second what Kaedrin said, AR’s WAR was pushing on EBay BL all last night, and have been making a lot more pushes into the EBay BL as a whole. You have had the “blitzkrieg” advantage for a few weeks or having such good offense that you can abandon defense, thus fueling more offense.

In fact, last night, we even left EB while we had the outmanned buff to attack you guys. We managed to take Bay before getting wiped by a ~30 man Seks team at Overlook (lost a lot of good golems that day!). Also, I know Seks likes to pretend they only have 10-15 (or 20 people max) on WvW, the numbers just don’t match up. You also have to account for all the extra followers you get and people not signed into TS when you do your accounting. You benefit from your reputation pulling more people in. That being said, your strategies are very effective and you are coordinated.

BP isn’t really focused because they are a bigger threat, we’ve shown we can deal with both AR and BP well enough that neither is really a huge threat at this point. BP is focused because you asked for it with all the trash talking and exploiting and proving all those trash talkers wrong is just to much fun. AR has its share of em to, as do we, every server does, but theres been far more of it coming from BP. Kinda sad a handful of people gotta ruin everything for an entire server but thats how it goes lately I guess :\

Who do you aim for, the weaker enemy who keeps attacking and won’t leave you alone, or the stronger force who is leaving you alone? You attack the one who keeps attacking until they finally stop, and THEN go for the stronger force.

Can we all just talk about good engagements, battles and lag now instead of going on and on about who did what where to who that caused upset.

Rinse repeat, rinse repeat. CHAR was a distraction, getting at sekz made EBays blood boil, but ANets action seems to have more or less appeased the offended. At the end of the day, we only have so much manpower to go around, choices have to be made…
Right or wrong, AR keeps saying you won in lower tiers by having a weaker opponent to tee off on. If that’s true then you are well acquainted with the strategy of point gain. If its false then AR clearly has a large axe to grind about something and its not really reasonable to assume they would come to your defense. It does them no good in the grand scheme of things to help you if they don’t like you. From their perspective, better off to ride the wave and find themselves in a new matchup at some point.

For the ones who aren’t forum warriors, I’m sorry you feel slighted. You drew the short straw at reset, and stuff like this happens to everyone at some point. Shake it off and keep trying. In the end, its a long week and we are only 1/6 of the way through it. Things can change.

Not starting something here… but I’ve seen a commander tag on one of the Rekz people in the past. You may not run with one often, but I have seen one (though it could be that weird bug where it shows you as a commander when you’re not). Other than that, once in a while I do bump into just you guys – the result is mostly the same unless we catch you off guard (which is surprisingly difficult).

Too many walls of text, someone get the 1000APM “Sekz – we read books IRL” guy to post some more gems like he did last night.

WAR went to Eternal to hold our sector down for 4 and half hours (just ask pk). We left to indirectly played defense by going to Ebay BL. We wanted to force Ebay’s pro guilds to come back to cleanse their BL. We were having our way with their pugs. It worked because once they got reinforcements, 30 minutes later AR BL was all blue. It’s called map coverage and understanding how you can occupy a force without directly fighting them…

Kalkz I don’t know why you are calling us out? There are two wvw guilds on our server bigger than we and yet you insist on calling our battle tactics into question. Either you realize what we can do or need an excuse to why your in 3rd place. If you do your pajama parties then it isn’t anything new. Remember NSP’s night crew lead by Birdsong? Yea I am used to recapping my map at 7 (central) in the morning.

Again WAR isn’t the biggest wvw guild on AR. Yea we do get nights where we get numbers but we never exceed 30 and rarely get the “zerg buff” from pugs. When Kain came through we were the only guild to successful hold a keep (in their own BL!) until the night cappers came out to play.

Ebay your guilds are better coordinated in the battlefield. Being in tier 6 for so long understand that we have a learning curve to deal with. BP…. I have always admired your pajama parties. To get a server to trust your wvw community is something I wish AR could do. AR keep up the good fight. We are the slowest moving server ever!

Ebay is bored, BP is “getting” focused, and AR is having fun either way.

AR is only eating scraps.. and while those scraps are sorta working for them, i can’t see how it’s much fun.

BP takes and holds Ebay BL..for 24 hours… and AR eats the scraps left over in Eternal.

BP could easily just decide.. heck lets hit AR and push for 2nd… but what would be the point of that? AR and BP just focusing on each other doesn’t hurt the 1st place zerg server.. just helps them stay in first.

BP focusing on Ebay, just leaves ar to eat the scraps, which still keeps ebay in 1st, but at least keeps the scores closer

By reading all the posts about “AR” are “FAIRLY” in 2nd because they “deserve” 2nd, Kalkz and some BP guilds are officially pulling off Ebay BL and focusing AR all week,, Even tho we might not be able to do much due having Ebay focusing us in BL and AR focusing us in Eternal but i’m pretty sure i’ll make some people scream at night
