As for the whole 2v1 thing…someone always has to be the 1, but people never think to complain until they are the 1. The fact remains that the tier is competitive enough that every server’s actions can directly impact the rankings – we might even have 3 different servers take 1st place over 3 weeks by the end of this week. That’s AMAZING – no other tier can come remotely close to that.
Maybe next week the colors will change and servers will change targets, and a different server gets pressured – every week so far has been different and can play out differently because the servers are all so balanced. I think all our servers are above falling apart after a single bad week – FA has proven that over months and months and I have faith in my server. That leaves KN which seems to have developed some issues, which is probably why people are trying to help them back on their feet – because this is the best T2 ever. Look at T1 – one server starts to struggle a little and everyone tries to kick them when they’re down. Won’t want to be a part of that crap ever.
Yeah, bourbon can be rough. I found some rot-gut bourbon at my local liquor store a couple of years ago that was like $10 for a liter. It was obviously not so great, but it got me smashed. Seriously, they probably could have used it as engine degreaser. But that didn’t stop me from drinking way too much of the stuff. I had some… digestive difficulties while I was drinking it. They don’t call it “rot-gut” for nothing!
Scotch drinker as well or just stick to bourbon? Seems like there are quite a few of us in BT that love our whiskey and scotches and it makes for an interesting reset night on TS.
Scotch is alright, but it’s usually too good/pricey to slam down like I like to do with borubon and whiskey. You’ve got to savor scotch; it’s the only brown liquor I’ll drink on the rocks. I’m partial to Johnny Walker Black and Chivas Regal.
I am a huge fan of whisky and Scotch. Love the various flavors. I don’t like those blends you listed there though (JW and CR). For some ok scotches you can get some Glen Fiddich or Glen Morrangie (sp?) 12 or 15 year at pretty good price though if you look around. The Dimple Pinch is a fantastic, spicy with some pear flavor on the finish and its a kitten cheap 15 year old blend. Hell, its cheaper than Woodford Reserve or Maker’s Mark.
Woodford Reserve though, that is my favorite bourbon. It’s amazing.
FA seems to be coming out strong this week. Whats changed?

But in all honestly, FA has not really done anything differently. If anything, I think we are playing more relaxed this week and not spending as much time as we usually do in WvW. For whatever reason, that seems to be working.
Oh except the fact that TC got 2 of our guilds last week.
1 of our 50 man guilds came back from t8 vacation, and other than that, nothings new. We just are out for blood any way we can get it. Points do.not.matter.

Really the main reason is indeed kaineng not showing up this week, we’ve never had the coverage to match either server in oceanic/SEA time and with kaineng not showing up at all FA can take such a commanding lead during these timezones and upgrade freely giving us an uphill battle during NA time when we are stronger.
That said it’s been fun enough during this week and while it hasn’t been particularly competitive on our maps we’ve been enjoying ourselves so thanks to those who show up to fight us.

When we are outmanned on our own BL during NA prime, we just might have a numbers issue. Which means we can barely hold our own, let alone cap anything in FA BL, etc. We still did well though, in the 3 hrs I was in our BL. Kudos to Cmmdrs Chips and Sano for the great work.

Hey. I’m the leader of CO. I read the last two pages of these forums and rest assured that sort of behavior does not fly in CO. I’m sure each guild and server has had one bad duck in its midst or a player that wants to “screw” around a little one day when they know they shouldn’t. The matter from TC Borderlands has been resolved and that player has been removed from our guild.
Hopefully, TC can be at peace with that. Great fights this weeks and even though Kaineng is struggling to keep up in the PPT we will continue to fight strong and not give up!!!! Rock on guys.

Seriously, Kaineng? TC had SM 90% capped. It was 2800 supplies, aka max upgrades, and you had to ruin that flip. You would have benefitted from that as well, you know. Taking a wooden Stonemist is A LOT easier than taking a fully upgraded Stonemist, and it rewards the same PPT. I really have to facepalm at that. Ridiculous.

So tonight in EB I saw some fellow Kaineng players claim that a lot of our WvW population quit because they were tired of TC and FA teaming up against us. My palm hit my face so hard I think I hurt my neck…

At no point when I was on the map last night did SMC have more than 100 supply, much less 2800. I don’t know where you’re getting that from, but I do know that we put an awful lot of pressure on them considering we were outmanned. Hell, I think we came closer to taking out the lord’s room siege than you guys did. At least while I was there.
Anyway, maybe you’re referring to something that happened after I left (I logged at 4am on the dot EST), but even if you are SMC did not have 2800 supply lol

We almost were able to take advantage of your OL push though. We didn’t get to SM inner in time and they’d already repelled you. :/
My opinion is that we’re just seeing each server blossom with the right combo of passion, drive, and cookies. That’s followed by some wilting for raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens time until they recharge for the next reset.

They were doing a really good job of using their WP and running supplies from OL. Before I lost my zerg, they spike repaired the south inner gate and I had no choice but to try and follow you guys in through the north gate. About half of us wiped, and then after that I didn’t really have any numbers to work with so we started to wind down the assault a bit. We did manage to catch them with their pants down once—we were able to clear some siege in the lord’s room and hole up on the third floor, but FA won downstairs and we were rooted out after maybe 15 or 20 minutes. After that was when we tried the OL/Mendon’s push, which they repelled (although the latter only barely).
For my money, I’d like to know just how both servers had 50+ zergs at 3 in the morning! At the ‘height’ of my command I had maybe 20-25. T_T

i don’t know but if i was to speculate it is quite possible outbreak of a war in north east Asia could drop the players numbers down since one of the main guild is based there. i don’t know maybe it could be other reasons. but the population drop is noticeable.
As for quitting reason TC and FA farming KN. that’s is a load of croc.
There was some lovely coordination in KBL last night that led to a slow but steady retaking of our things. Very nice. Chips and Sano were commanding. Good job guys. Did you ever crack Hills?
Side note: did TC or FA bl experience the bug we did where north camp was not spawning the westbound yak? We didn’t get one all night and Woodhaven had no supplies. That’s why it was paper when I believe TC (I forget, I was tired) tried to take it out. The few times the camp flipped it didn’t spawn for FA or TC either.

MOON and CERN folks who played with my group Ai outside of north Hills earlier in the night for a few rounds, thanks. We had a lot of fun, the short bow CERN thief was a pain but I think we eventually got you.
I fought a TC tanky ranger outside KBL Bay around 11:45PST, I /bow to you mam/sir as you were pretty much unbeatable. I should’ve taken the hint when you took out the FA invader and minded my own business. Next time I will spec for solo fights when I’m running around alone, lesson learned. At least I got a few yaks in!
