When you can PvDoor on a map, which contains the same amount of enemy players as your own side, thats when you know you have succeeded in WvW.

I’m not ashamed of PvDoor, its perfectly good business. Hah, its just that there are 2 types of PvD. One where there is literally no enemy online, and another were you’ve used split groups to disorientate an enemy which has a perfectly good sized zerg, so that you can PvDoor.

The picture proves the exact point I was trying to make. That is an enemy borderland where they are supposed to have the most players on par normal. I thought that was pretty obvious tbh. I’d have to fraps it to fully prove anything, and I didn’t.. so.. haters gunna hate? I don’t even think thats DR’s. I’d have to flick through my SS file to find what match up it is.
We just ran around punching doors until we got to the north of the map, everyone way pointed and we rushed upto hills.

Pretty standard way to get an outer down and half an inner before they start defending.

Reasoning behind it?
When a commander calls all his dudes to WP and rush to a tower with swords to find no one at it, most of the people are like :|
Then they rush to another location, the zerg is like :| with no enemy
What about another time on another side of the map? With nubs shouting that the enemy zerg is at such and such gate. They start rushing there.. and… BOOP. Not there.

Commander loses interest of his/her zerg and people will go off and do their own thing. So when the real attack happens its like a slow trickle of people.

Helps more when you’ve got a 5 man team in vent, punching a different tower all at the same time/taking out WP’s. Have you never seen a map where every objectives just turns to white swords at once? Its quite a sight.

Free knowledge for you if you’ve never used it.
Although at this current time I don’t think guerilla style fighting is much needed by GoM or DR, which is why I suppose I’m writing this. Although it does work with mass people like on top tier, except you need 2 or more commanders in vent with you to pull it off and a decently split group with guildies in to assist.

Pretty amusing to orchestrate when everyone does their job. One of the reasons why we were such a pain to SF.

Hey! The weekly Thursday Fight Club will be taking place and everyone is welcome!

Location – Devona’s Rest Borderlands, under Champion’s Demense camp.
Time – 8 PM EST (at Daily reset). PM me ASAP if you need a time conversation to your immediate time.

Standard Tipes/Rules:
- /bow before each duel
- Duel ends when the opposing player is downed
- Any interruptions made towards any duel should be warned and mentioned to the player(s) from the same server. If they continue interrupting, please be advised that the opposing servers should and are allowed to down the player(s) to further continue more constant dueling. Finishing a player is absolutely unnecessary.
- Team duels can be organized through party, although, each team should have equal amounts to ensure proper play and unneeded use of excuse. Every person who is taking part of the duel must /bow, when everyone has, the duel starts. The duel ends when the last person of a team is downed (the previous team members must be finished before-hand).
- Items from the “Traps and Tricks” outfitter and siege weapons are not permitted.

Please understand that this event is for people to practice against opposing players in which they could not test their full potential in sPvP. Fight Club is also about creating friendships between servers. Hatred between players that involve prolonged detriment is strongly disadvised and will not be tolerated.

I hope I see many people there on this event! Any questions that are needed to be answered, please whisper me before the event!

Fight Club will be starting in approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes from this post.

I’ve really been frustrated this week by the GOM BL map lag. 3 times I have tried to bring forces over there, only to have random disconnects and lag kick in to the point that at any given point in time, about 20-40% of my force is either stuck in lag, logging back in from a disconnect, or running back from getting disconnected. People get frustrated and quit WvWing or switch maps, so this drives us off of GOM BL.

Normally the GOM night crew takes all of our stuff, and our day crew comes on and rages back against them with day caps. This cycle is broken. The GOM night crew hits us, we get it back, but we can not effectively regain points because lag is defending GOM BL.

Bird Song you make some good points in your post, but during the day we have eyes on many of our keeps at any given time with roamers spotting large forces, golems etc. At night however, I do not think that is the case. So in the day we frequently get word of an attack before the wp shuts down, but at night I think the first they see of it is when crossed swords appear. This is a direct function of population, and our night coverage has been our Achilles heel, and the reason why we have slid down the tiers.

I think it would be really interesting if GOM went up to fight IoJ, as IoJ has a huge night capping crew that would give you GOM guys a real run for the money. Even though there is a lot of bad blood between IoJ and DR, I sort of hope any kind of low pop server merges force us in with IoJ as they would directly solve our largest problem, and we would solve their largest problem.

Another thing that was a bit tiresome and related to the GOM lagfest was the NSP crew at SW tower last night in DRBL. You NSP guys built a nice kill box, and made it hard for us to get in there. The thing that was frustrating though is in open field or in the supply camp we were just decimating that crew over and over, and the only thing keeping you guys in it was the fact the same guys would run back from spawn quickly and die again for the NSP cause. Never have I seen so many guys wipe over and over to take out single pieces of siege. We would just kill off someone on the north side of the camp, only to have another huge group come in from the south. Just trying to move across from ruins to SW camp involved killing our way through respawn after respawn after respawn. You guys were like a bunch of lemmings who didn’t care if you lived or died. We need to figure out a way to slow your running back to make headway. You guys got your foot in our BL door, and GOM joined the party (after all nobody is fighting on the GOM map defended by lag), and we had our hands full just trying to get you guys off our lawn.

I think GOM deserves #1 this week, but I think their score is higher than it would be if there was no week long lagfest on that map.

Made some friends with GOM’s RISE last night doing some 2v2 duels. Was a hell of a lot of fun. Were chasing after us with a group of 4-5 and we ran half way across the map before we realized they were just trying to duel. xD haha also ran into HOES guild…. Well a seven man group with a few uplevels. [Bags] thanks you for that second hit at the ruins sentry, seemed we caught you by complete surprise.

Matchup has been so much fun thank you everyone for making it that way.

GoM is just dominating this match up. I’ve been in some really good fights this last week and had a lot of fun. Getting some good training for my Guild. I just wish NSP had better numbers spread out the day. I’m finding myself with the outmanned buff more often than not

Really sort of sad about this too. Ive Been gone awhile. Did NSP loose a bunch to transfers?? Or as it happenes to everyone, are they just tired of the matchup and not wvwing? Most the times Ive been on, Ive been wondering where all the NSP went.

Got word last night 2 guilds have decided to transfer. Some may have already transferred. NSP is getting hit with a bad bout of burnout. Lots of things factoring into it. Will see what things look like after this coming weekend. Hopefully GoM BL wont be unplayable and we can get some moral back up. Win or loose T,1 or T8…. I <3 NSP!!!

I was watching the map from work yesterday, GoM did hit DR pretty hard in their BL. With the split between DR and GOM its very possible DR wants to secure 2nd place as well so they don’t get sent Down to T8 in a week and a half. I don’t blame DR. Points are points… if they come easy you better take advantage of it….

Dont know when singlemalt or blaze play… but when im on typically Os and phoenix battlion or both are leading a zerg into DR and I rarely see red in Gom… plus lotta DR folk got mad after we started a hard push on GOM Saturday I think it was and NSP lead a massive zerg into our BL flipping most of it.

I dont think its about securing second as much as … well people wanted to hit you back for that.

Oh and for the record I can count on 1 hand if you chop off 5 fingers the number of times Ive gone to NSP since this matchup began.

Night crew in EB usually fights GoM since they’re the only ones actually awake.
But as you probably know GoM’s bl is broken, I’ve tried playing on it a couple of times and its near impossible to command.
So when we have our map we can only funnel into two, EB and DR bl.
Nothing personnel.

Lots of complaining about GoM’s BL. You all realize it makes it next to impossible for us to defend lake and briar given we are DCing as well. I was fighting 5 guys for briar the other day, just to DC. By the time I logged back in and ran to briar, the gate was done. So much for the siege I put up to defend the tower.

Is it happening? Yes and it is effecting everyone, not just attackers. Nothing beats spending plenty of gold each day to upgrade things, just to run into a camp to defend it and lag out. And those that know me know that I can hold a camp pretty well.

shrugs I dont take any of it personally, I understand why people hit you folks… for some its probably lag factoring into it, for others its going to be hitting you back for back dooring us during a push on GOM… for others still its an easier fight.

Me personally I always want to go after the biggest guy on the block, cause that makes me a better fighter, but people will play the way they want to play.

edit: I am usually in DR bl so while it has irritated me sometimes… it is what it is..

The issue with GoM BL atm is its lags and disconnects everyone. Im sure you can appreciate its much harder to attack with constant disconnects than to defend.

I really hope that all the talk last week from DR when NSP and DR were hitting gom about not playing for seconds a great matchup was not just empty words, and the current cherry picking of an already undermanned NSP is just a result of GoM BL lag issues.

Yea GoM’s BL is unplayable. Leaves them able to hit EB very hard, and they have had great coverage day and night. I normally only get 2 hours on the weekdays if Im lucky, Weekends are better but I also have to PVE farm so I can afford siege. Not that I am complaining. Typically I have been in NSP BL reclaiming stuff, EB reclaiming stuff, and DR BL trying to flip camps and the occasional tower. I would have hit GoM this week but their BL lag / disconnects drove me nuts. Its been a rough match-up to watch from work. But It could be much worse.

BTW, I must comment on [WoS] guild of DR. I find it funny that a single mes (me) was holding you guys back (even stomped you guys badly at vale) just to have a several minute fight with 8-10 of you guys at Faithleap. When you guys finally did get me down with most of your force in very bad shape, I got a kick out of a necro deciding to teabag me. I’m not sure what he was all proud about when it was a huge number of guys to take little ole me down but to each their own I guess.

Well, yes it can be easier to defend than to attack, but it also take a whole lot longer for defenders to get to a given point in the south than an attacker. This means that DC’s effect defenders much worse than an attacker. With that being said, I certainly understand it is a turn off for others to come to our BL with all this going on.

Right now there isn’t much of an option. Out of 4 maps, only 3 are playable at this time ( NSP, DR, EB. ) I have seen a lot of activity in NA Prime in NSP, so that’s where I, and others, have gone for fights. We can only hope that reset will fix the severe lag in Gom bl and maybe some lag improvements overall ( hello skill lag for months straight. )

Had a great 3-way battle royal at ruins with 2 nsp, 2 gom, and myself yesterday. Ended in a draw and was great fun for all I’m sure. Been a lot of great players from all sides to meet and fight.

I’ve pretty much been solo roaming only in DR’s borderlands this week because of that. GoM’s bl is almost unplayable and NSP’s bl is usually full of people trying to do WvW stuff (those heathens!). Still finding good fights though, so cheers to those of you I’ve run into out there.

yeah the little time i get to play now during exams Im on my new engineer learning the curves, had several duels with GoM players (mostly thieves) and a couple of DR, tickles me though when 6 or so people mow me down the proceed to jump on my corpse… gg

2/5 people that were at that group that you “killed so many times it was boring” were actually from SPCA. The rest are not. When does SPCA ever run more than 1 guardian?

Now for the part that actually made me laugh hardest, you killed us so much? Thats interesting considering it was 5v30 and there was only a total of 3 deaths between our 5 people. Yet we killed all of your guys numerous times.

But as you said, we definitely enjoyed your loot bags.

I was there if you think it was spca players you are kittened. As far as killing the 5 guardian group I was in had 2 deaths and 30+ kills so keep on patting yourself on the back

But No… No you cannot hab invite to our alt guild which runs the exact same group comp and gear as our guild, because I wasn’t even invited or able to play T_T

Congratulations on trolling people with five guardians pulling off perma stability and a ton of retaliation. Anyone who ran a five guard group could do the same. I had fun when I play a game I don’t focus on helping my enemies have fun I focus on my own enjoyment. You coming to forums to cry about fighting at a fight club makes it even more enjoyable.

• Breaks up fight club because entire match up already hates you
• Runs around with 5 dedicated players on voice comm with specific builds + 2 pugs, and wipes to ~10ish PUG DR who are not communicating in any way.
• Comes on forum and claims it is a straight 30v5 and that they amassed tonnes of loot bags.
• Will soon upload a video which cuts after every kill or maybe a 7k back stab for special ultra l33t effects and proof of being pro.

Yeah Kevin there’s really no news here worth reading, we have all seen it before. You’ll have to do better in the future.

The NSP players that grouped up and started ganking players were mainly just [FIVE] and a guy from [Os] and [Fap]. It was of course a lame and empty gesture of chest thumping and stupidity. They eventually ran off or died depending on their choice but i’m sure they fulfilled their need to be noticed. It was difficult to separate out the GoM players and NSP from the mix so there was likely a lot of unintended deaths by everyone not in a coordinated group.

But fight club went on as usual and most of the people that attend are happy to get some duels.

I was told that there was no organized effort to gank the fight club but it really doesn’t matter. It is the same people that you would think it would be just doing their normal style of behavior and generally trying to screw things up for others. No big and no surprise.
