Had a great fun yesterday defending DR keep from a helluva lot of GoM. Really, guys? How many people do you have?
EDIT: Sorry, used to say “NSP”, but I just remembered NSP was outmanned too.
In any case, there was enough GoM to literally fill the gate with red letters. At the same time, they sent people to cap our bases.

When the point gaps are so minimal like they were this entire match, every little point matters, and we made that perfectly clear today.
We barely came in second, with a 15 point lead (The scoreboard was taken after the final point tally)! If you think about it, without that camp we could have very well lost second place. With the two yaks there giving 3 points each after the new update, and the camp being worth 10 points (5 points away from NSP + 5 points going toward DR), that camp earned us a total of 16 points. It really goes to show that every little bit helps.
Having so much fun in this tier with NSP and GoM, great fights and incredibly tight point gaps.
Score update before I go to bed. Boy did our BLs get slammed tonight.

Had a fun night all around, looking forward to another close week. DR, you kept your BL locked up tight, that was some incredibly frustrating defensive work. Hard enough to get a foothold, let alone anything else.

It was lots of fun fighting you guys off. Our commanders worked together very well last night.
That treb in sw tower was a pain to counter. We tried to sneak build a few acs and take it out, but you guys had eyes all over the place. /bow
Also, some of the GoM camp raiding groups were a pain to scout and keep tabs on.

k i got question, whats estimated max players that can be in each borderlands cuase i was wondering how and if i should hope each bl and convince players to all swarm gates and stuff.

I never liked waypoint tappers. Something that takes such little skill (especially at somewhere like Lowlands water-gate that has no guards for it) should not help a server so drastically.
So I ask you, guildless male human Necromancer assaulter from GoM, do you know why waypoints contest when their keeps are contested? Because when keeps are under attack, players spawning directly into the battle from one side is unfair. One server would have a constant inflow of players while the other would be destroyed, not having nearly enough players to counter the permanent inflow of enemies through the waypoint.
When you tap a waypoint, you are cheating this system. Notice that the “Repel the enemy attackers” does not say “Repel the enemy tappers”
Not trying to bash those who do tap waypoints (it’s a good tactic that takes very little skill, why wouldn’t you use it?), but I do believe that ANet should do something about it.
Im pretty sure at one stage we spotted a bot doing this to us when we were in green position (since there are no guards on the watergate)
Not saying it was a GoM bot, cant remmember what server it was.
Track its movements and see if it takes the exact same path every-time running directly past you=bot

Not trying to bash those who do tap waypoints (it’s a good tactic that takes very little skill, why wouldn’t you use it?), but I do believe that ANet should do something about it.
I agree that it should be fixed somehow, but until Anet fixes it we’re all going to have to put up with it i’m afraid

NSP, there is a group of bots from your server in the water south of the west node killing krait. Its in DRBL. They have been reported and killed a couple of times. But I figured you guys would want to report them too, as they take up space you can’t use for real players.

is it easier to bust walls or door?
It depends heavily on the circumstances, and it would take paragraphs upon paragraphs to explain when to use doors or walls.
But for a general answer:
If you have one ram against a non-upgraded gate and one catapult against a non-upgraded wall (so one tap will hit, no holding down of 2 required), with no defense at all… The ram would tear the gate down first and it also costs 10 less supply to build.
However, in no way am I saying it’s easier to bust doors down, because it varies every time.

Forgot to say from last night I had both a frustrating and fun time at the GoM BLs last night! NSP really gave us a lot of pressure throughout last week and continue to today, but we’re persevering. Highlight of my night was singlehandedly sneaking (more like bum rushing to the doly) by the ZoS doly escort group from Arah to our garrison keep after we had a group attempt to take it out previously, which needed just 1 more to get upgraded walls, otherwise it would have repaired your Swiss cheese walls. It was SO close since the doly was RIGHT at the door but mainly thanks to that we were finally able to reclaim garrison.
A bit strange there was nobody home when we reclaimed our hills, but I had some fun duels with a couple of Os after! Lets keep this match fun!

Frelling boring with all those NSP either hiding with all their arrow carts, or only peeking out when they a nice good zerg to mass rally themselves. Are you trying to get us to go with the annoying creeping arrow cart strategy like all the other tiers?

The south camp was probably blue first. The blue yak would have moved out onto it’s route before GoM came to the camp to flip it. If a camp flips, that doesn’t mean it’s yaks automatically die.
Yaks stop at enemy towers because they follow a specific path every time. ANet never programmed a route that takes the yak straight to a keep, and I theorize that it’s partially because it would make yak-running too easy. Don’t worry though, yaks will never drop supply at an enemy tower.
There’s been a bug since the last patch (30th) where if the timing is right, enemy guards or yaks will spawn. See this sometimes when flipping camps as a duo. Camp is red, we kill the guards, flip it green, and if we flip at same time as red guards or yaks spawn, you get the green guards attacking the red guard or yak that just spawned at moment of flip.

im the one that flipped the camp. i was defending the camp. the yak spawned about 3 minutes after i capped it. it spawned after i died defending it.
which means that ~3 minutes after i capped the camp and made it red.. a blue yak spawned. ive seen it happen plenty of times before when enemy yaks appear at same time i flip camp but never seen it happen minutes after i cap a camp.
