Let’s have an awesome week again!

Looks like DH got some server transfers. It sure was a fun week last week but now we’re being outnumbered again.

AS A DRUNKEN DH, THIS WILL BE FUN.

newly reformed SE came back to DH. Not much, probably about 100 members transferred.

Ya but the last alliance had guilds that shall not be named, in it. It’s not like the last one.

Anyways it will be nice just to have my partner in EBG back. Plus we have some other great commanders out there that have stepped up since alot of people have left. Maybe i’ll just leave my commander tag off most of the time and be a zergling now.

Just gotta say, if it wasnt for Acium [OFA], Leon Di Celic [Abys], Ink the Stained [Abys], Master Myro [MoRT] and our BL guardian Kryptic [ZZZZ] our server would be up the kitten creek.

well heres some screen shots of how the night went, logged on and ported to WvW to see GOM borderlands green (when we’re blue) except for the keep under our citadel. That was quickly overrun then due to our commander’s awesome leadership(jael) we were able to take back our border lands and strike back at DH. was awesome seeing everyone from GOM doing so well together.

Awesome matchup so far.
DH had numbers at reset, but HoD and GoM played a strong match too, never gave up and it looks like anything will be possible again this week.

I for one would really like to see the Fight Club event again this week. We talked about it last week, we should call a day and a place this time. What about:

Event: FIGHT CLUB
Date: Thursday the 24
Time: Proposed 7 PM East (same time as WvW reset)
Location: GoM Borderlands, South of Champion’s Demense, west of the Mill

Rules:
1. A servers players must be in one area together.
2. In order to start the fight, at least 2 challengers (from any server) must go to the middle of the ring/open area.
3. Can be 1v1, 3v3, 5v5, Golem v Golem, etc.
4. No Spiking, only to down state.

To be honest, it’s fun. I’ve even gone in a sat sidelines a few times, dropped prints to a guildie next to opposing servers and everything was fine. I know you may be nervous at first, but the only threat at all, is people who don’t communicate to there server.

In the end, it’s alot of fun, we’ve been doing it for months with almost every server. Thanks in large part to Littlefeather putting in the effort and coordinating it. i for one, would gladly jump in, but don’t want any overhead of collecting everyone.

It actually takes a cooperative effort to put together (from all servers) and provides a different ground for some to have a little fun in a different style of atmosphere. If you have some ideas or suggestions, always open to hear them. It’s a very relaxed environment (even if you don’t think it), for players to work together, have fun, meet new players, and play around with their build in a live environment. Sitting on the side lines is absolutely fine.

Looking forward to it, ASH guild will be there. Hope to see you guys from all servers in great numbers.

I can’t speak for people my server (HoD) but I don’t usually attack people unless they attack me first. And to be honest, I only attacked GoM today cause they were camping and killing people in the EB puzzle.

It’s unfortunate, but what often happens is that people will start killing in the JP, then others will respond to that killing with more killing. In a matter of moments people who were trying to live and let live start paying the price for their companions’ actions.

This is still a pvp mode. Just because I’m nice enough to let people through doesn’t mean I’m going to expect you or anyone else to return that favor.

Just go in expecting a fight and be pleasantly surprised if you don’t get one. You’ll be much happier in the long run.

GoM and HoD didn’t team up in JP to kill DH. I was there and had both DH and HoD in my party. DH were playing The Trojan Horse by pretending to be peaceful until they reached the top of the Arena in numbers. Keep the JP clean so everyone can have a fair go.

Can we please get a score update, im stuck at work for the next 2 weeks and need to know how my DH brothers and sisters are fairing

Scores are even closer than last week.

Good to see you and some SE back in DH! These past 2 weeks have been a ball in WvW, HoD and GoM putting up a helluva good fight.

So GoM is currently in our BL at the JP complete with Arrow carts and siege. Interesting.

On invulnerable status:
I think it’s fine, just don’t be fool enough to get that near and die just because you “need” that kill.
If you really want to kill them, just go away and wait for them to attack.
It’s annoying? Yes, and that’s the point, they’ll keep people from doing better things.

Honestly, sometimes I think it’s fun, just poking around, relaxing, nothing serious… Because it’s not and shouldn’t be taken as such.

It’s a glitch. There is no point in exploiting glitches. It’s cheating, plain and simple.

Not being completely sure where this snug spot is you can correct me if I’m wrong. But isn’t the issue people have that there is a hill there and once down you can’t get back up. All the people claiming that this is cheating say the buff should not reach the bottom of the hill there.

Even if his group was at the top of the hill the camp would still be under constant threat. So I guess I’m confused.

GoM started 3 friggen break out events in there. ;.; jees guys. tenacious bunch. Managed to hold but barely.

After that we decided to get naked and bum rush there spawn…some people just kinda stood there and watched us run past as the naked kitten army…ya I won.

then we went to HoD BL and had some fun till I ran up the hill for supplies and ran face first into a ton of HoD.. lol

Also, great matchup so far gents. scores are the closest I have EVER seen in any matchup.

The issue with those invuln spots is that is an unintended error made on the part of the developers. When they marked the invulnerability area they also included no-siege. However to insure that siege could not be placed on the edge of the cliff like it can on the edge of a tower or keep, they had to go right out to the edge which included those nice little safe spots. If they would have had two seperate exclusion zones, one for siege and another for invulnerability they could have kept the no siege area as it is now, and the invulnerability area a few feet back.

Once you jump down from the invuln area you are in a war zone and using that tiny area as a safe haven is nothing more then exploiting a bug in the game design, something that Henge has too much honor to copy. If you are good enough to jump down and fight then quit playing chicken and running back to the invuln spot. It just cheapens your gameplay.

Stand up top in the invuln area, that is part of game design and intended. Once you are down then learn to play with a bit of class.

Sorry, but that’s just not accurate. I don’t like those invul spots any more than you do, but every server, HoD included, has people that will use them. Exploit or not, until a patch comes along to fix it, you should plan accordingly. As stated earlier, it’s not possible to cap from those spots and there’s no scouting advantage that couldn’t be achieved by simply standing on the cliffs anyways. All you’re missing out on is a kill, which if you’re playing for K/D, you’re in the wrong game mode. :P

Keep telling yourself that. I’m loving the match-up and looking forward to a possible fight club this week because I still feel like I’m fat fingering alot of skills (and tired of getting two shotted by thieves) but I can safely say that I’ve seen plenty of d-baggery from every server, and HoD is no exception. I’ve also seen very good play at the same time.

Now, if I can just figure out the magical way that every thief claims they can easily be stopped when they run away…

This… and I’m still trying to find a skill to hit the kittens when they camo and ress the guy standing under your feet… there should be a way for any class to reveal, I’ve never played any MMO that didn’t have a “reveal” when there was a class that could camo!

Did DH somehow get some sort of oceanic crew? Been killing it at sleep time for NA

First saw DH doing this, then HoD (long before this post). There are such points on both sides of the BL maps. Not much different than standing in the spawn. In fact I guess it is standing in the spawn. Never used one myself. It doesn’t seem to affect the balance of the game, so I don’t think of it as an exploit.
