Good luck to all 3 servers this week!

Was fun time during reset on DH BL. Took most of it then you guys started getting numbers back from your other efforts in other maps and kicked us out. Was fun while it last for a few hours tho.

Lotsa fun open field fights against your zergs.

Hats off to the NSP guys in the south of DH BL who kept us on our toes as well creating a second front for us to focus on.

Looking forward to a fun matchup this week. Hopefully we can put out a good NA Primetime prescence enough to amke a difference here on DB.

Personally, I’m just glad the colors shifted. Makes map completion a lot easier.

Warsworn looks good in green, gratz to DB. I look forward to joining the fight as soon as I can get on the server.

Not even a minute ago, I am standing on DB south wall and I saw a group of 5 standing outside of the wall. Before I knew it, the mesmer managed to place an exit portal on the wall and teleported everyone in. No swords, no taking walls/doors down… just like that (it was done in garrison also but that I didn’t witness myself). I am 100% sure the mesmer was outside of the walls and not 1 single mesmer inside.
If this is a game mechanic exploit or a hack I do not care. Keep it clean guys, please.

Props to the Darkhaven defenders who stayed up late and held Dreadfall Bay in DB Borderlands until after 3AM last night, when somehow we still led in potential points! Sometimes playing latenight against a server like DB who has a strong nightcapping contingent can be a little discouraging, but last night it sure was fun!

We held on tenaciously and made them pay for every step, even Bluevale Supply, which withstood repeated raids and only fell against the second zerg that hit it after 2AM (it was the flame ram at the gate that was the secret…)

Hats off to DB as well who laid down a methodical siege and weren’t afraid to throw the kitchen sink of siege at us (against our kitchen sink of defensive siege). As I died on an arrow cart in the Lord’s room it was nice to see people giving each other props in team chat on a job well done.

I noticed that I get targeted far more when I’ve got my tag on than not.
But then again, I usually teleport straight into the middle of the enemy zerg on my Guardian and face-mash everyone.
If you’ve seen me, then you’ll probably remember.

To the kitten on DH in BSL guild who fought an engineer outside anz…kitten off, I had you downed by a Ton but you ran back to guards and had them attack me while you rezzed and than you think your hit kitten and laugh/dance on my corpse…great sportsmanship kitten

Although in our last match in the bracket below we won by over half a million points.

We are a tiny but highly skilled server in terms of our WvW guilds.
Which is why I think you’ll be glad to see the back of us.

Why would you need more people in the time of day when you guys already run the maps with very little resistance? Your comment doesn’t make any sense.

It’s amusing you guys think you’re so much better than DH or NSP. I honestly hope you guys get your shot in tier 4.

P.S. Looking at previous matchups not only has Darkhaven spent more time in higher
tiers than Dragonbrand despite DB at one point in time being in tier 3 but out of the 3 previous times we’ve been matched up against them we’ve beaten them twice so far.

You guys are getting carried by a night time population that takes over the maps that can close a 10000 point gap in as little as 2 hours. Don’t say it didn’t happen because it did this morning in the hours between 6am and 8am pst. Before this magic hour hit for DB even NSP was out scoring you. Yes. The server you just dismissed as even being slightly competitive against yours.

Do you know what you are even talking about? I have no need to camp the JP as long as I’m not attacked. Usually, I am friendly and wave at defenders in the JP before I walk pass them. Before you pass judgement, for future reference, I only do JP on Thurs-Sat for my guild. Since we did not get to do some last week due to the same occurrence as above, I attempted to get my guild to do the JP in order to provide some competition for this week’s Wv3.

I’m going to have to return the favor now buddy.

That’s highly unlikely. If DB somehow manages to win the matchup, they’re likely to gain maybe 20 rank points max. Either Ehmry Bay or Maguuma would need to lose over 40-50 points to drop a tier, which would mean they’d have to score fewer than about 130k points. Right now that’s looking extremely unlikely.

Actually, if Borlis Pass has a similar match to last week, they might bypass T5 entirely and jump right into T4.

Dude before you start putting out facts make sure you get them right.

For starters DB was a Tier 2 server. And when i say a Tier 2 server not a was up for a single round then got knocked back down. we were up there for a bit before bouncing back down and back up again.

During that time Darkhaven never once ever even showed up on our radar.

Now to defend the comment by my server mate as to why he may have said what he did… Without any nighttime presence no server will ever have any chance of ever making any major movement in the tiers.

this aspect is the very thing that people look for when choosing servers.

Hopefully we can move past all this negativity that seems to be popping up and just get on with the match. NSP seems to be able to hold their head up high. hopefully Darkhaven can learn from this.

Oh noes, a big bad DH guild is going to camp the jumping puzzle instead of actually playing! All this because someone got killed in an explicitly pvp area. If you don’t want other players to kill you, stay out of WvW.

Yes. I saw 3-5 DH camped in the starting area, including a non-80 mesmer with SE tag pulling single DB/NSP players off the starting platforms with focus4. Definitely not friendly. My one assumption was that it was you; I think most people would agree the assumption is a reasonable one.

If a DH player going through does /wave, /bow, /salute, etc, I will let him go ahead, but rather than assuming neutral-by-default, I will switch to hostile-by-default.

I myself have very little objection to PvP in the JP. I personally draw the line at camping it for hours with siege.

When the 1 week matches started DB dropped in the ranks really quickly.

Also, then you need to tell your fellows on DB to cut the negativity then. They are the ones who are claiming they are so much better than us and dismissing their competition as non-factors when they don’t have any right to do that.

So I just thought I’d point out the facts over the last 10 weeks of competition since the 1 week matches started to settle the argument. My intention was not to say we are better than you guys but to say that perhaps some peoples egos on DB are more inflated than they have a right to be.

And those are hard indisputable facts. You can look them up if you want.

It’s worth noting that since our most recent matchups with Maguuma we’ve lost several somewhat large guilds to other servers.

I am not, never have, and never will defend anyone on my server building siege in the JP except to counter enemy siege. From some of the replies I’ve gotten from people on your own server in this thread, DB is not as notorious for camping as DH.

We went into DHBL earlier today and took two keeps and multiple characters without a single DH player in sight. Servers will naturally attack whatever is easier to take, and there is nothing easier to cap away at than an empty borderland. On a side note, NSP rarely ever seems to attack DH in DBBL. However, whenever you guys attack NSP on our map and drive them off the map, we get less invaders to push back, and they’ll go somewhere else—perhaps your own borderlands…

Earlier in EB, DH was definitely the most aggressive server with the most holdings there (perhaps due to empty home borderlands…?) We finally got more people in EB and pushed into DH territory for a bit of a buffer. We noticed NSP seemingly trying to do the same thing up north, so we promptly asked everyone to stop attacking NSP so they could focus more on DH and keep you guys split. The enemy of your enemy is your friend.

But finally, along the lines of kingmaker, it seems there’s much more bad blood towards DH than DB (I can’t be the judge of whether or not it’s justified). Perhaps keeping a solid image as a server (keeping your own weeds in check) will make the kingmaker’s decision more random? Server image seems like just another aspect of WvW.

EDIT: I looked at the map just now. Clearly DB and NSP are faking fighting each others in order to create a screenshot.

So the DB that are in there everyday with siege are just anomalies? Over the past two weeks when I go in the EB jumping puzzle it’s either people being friendly or a bunch of DB with siege. It’s funny watching half afk alts spamming arrow carts at one location in the room after the dark room. It’s even more funny when we stealth up their and wipe them and trash the siege.

I am not, never have, and never will defend anyone on my server building siege in the JP except to counter enemy siege. From some of the replies I’ve gotten from people on your own server in this thread, DB is not as notorious for camping as DH.

Yawn…another week of fending off DB and NSP. All too often I see NSP ignore DB completely and work with them on DH…its almost like NSP isnt even trying for second, but would rather play the kingmaker? We went into DHBL earlier today and took two keeps and multiple characters without a single DH player in sight. Servers will naturally attack whatever is easier to take, and there is nothing easier to cap away at than an empty borderland. On a side note, NSP rarely ever seems to attack DH in DBBL. However, whenever you guys attack NSP on our map and drive them off the map, we get less invaders to push back, and they’ll go somewhere else—perhaps your own borderlands…

Earlier in EB, DH was definitely the most aggressive server with the most holdings there (perhaps due to empty home borderlands…?) We finally got more people in EB and pushed into DH territory for a bit of a buffer. We noticed NSP seemingly trying to do the same thing up north, so we promptly asked everyone to stop attacking NSP so they could focus more on DH and keep you guys split. The enemy of your enemy is your friend.

But finally, along the lines of kingmaker, it seems there’s much more bad blood towards DH than DB (I can’t be the judge of whether or not it’s justified). Well, its a difficult road to win on DH when NSP consistently hamstrings us while laying down for DB. You are right though, more often than not DH forces do get split having to deal with assaults from two servers, and that gives DB a large advantage. Week isnt over yet and either way its nice that we are never lacking to find a fight. I do wish NSP and DB would atleast try to hide your romantic affair against the evil DH tyrants, maybe take a few camps in each of your borderlands or something?

At night time there is no fake fighting. Usually DB fights both DH and NSP at the same time because of their high numbers at night. Its similar to DH on NA prime time, just flipped. Out of curiosity, have you guys been experiencing a little more resistance by DB during NA prime time or is it the same since the 1st match?
