Guild Wars 2

I’m all the sudden not seeing any commanders that I know or any of the usual suspects. Not even in PvE much.

Figured I’d ask here in case there were any big WvW mass exodus of guilds.

SM, TTD, Blood Pact switched. There’s surely a bunch of others I cannot recall now.

Let’s just start by saying that while SM and TTD did move out they weren’t large guilds.

Blood Pact didn’t leave Ehmry. There also aren’t a bunch of others, which explains why you can’t recall them.

RP did move off of Ehmry to go on “vacation”, though it’s unclear whether they will be back.

HIRE, which arrived mid December, is just now in the process of leaving. They are the only ones which could potentially qualify as big since there were at times a couple dozen of them in WvW.

Participation (PvE and WvW) is down across all servers, mainly due to WvW having become the same old same old without any meaningful rewards. If you check other server forums you’ll find threads about that all over.

As a community Ehmry Bay is strong and once the free server transfers stop things are going to stabilize. People will continue to log in, and the sky isn’t falling after all.

The place to get first hand into about this would be the server forum at ehmry.com where you are much more likely to get an answer that isn’t full of other server’s players trolling your thread, unless of course you did actually intend to create drama by posting here.

Blood Pact is leaving, sure they didn’t leave yet, but I think promoting your guild whilst mentioning “will be switching to dragonbrand” is a good indication.

Personally, I’m glad to see the win-chasers move to other servers. Those are the people who will whine the loudest when their new server doesn’t win every week. What we get left with are long-term community players.

Much respect Slamz as you are a long time Ehmry commander. I have to disagree with the win chaser attitude because we asked other guilds to come to Ehmry only to have certain people attempt to call them out on how they do business.

Thanks for the responses, folks. I didn’t know there were server forums. I wasn’t really sure where to go. I’ll go check that out.

I had started on SoS originally, but transferred to Emhry Bay in November to play with friends, though sadly one ended up not really liking the game, though I don’t understand why. The other comes out occasionally, but I planned on staying here just in case. I wasn’t really thrilled with moving the first time, not sure I want to do it again.
