I got to say, I start to feel real comfy after 5 hours in both Bay and Briar in DH Borderlands. Nice place, I understand why you fight for it. We take note vacations at Sunnyhill are kinda costly, but it’s worth every penny (and drop of blood) in the end.

Good fights, guilds from DH I noticed tonight: MoRt, SE and Abyss.

HoD: It would be very fun to have a ‘different matchup’ next week. Time to wake up and fight the biggest threat, biggest score server. Fighting for 2nd place for the 5th week in a row? Come on, show us what you got, compete for 1st place.

To everyone in the eternal battle grounds tonight, great job. It was alittle slow but both GoM and HoD were putting up good fights. We on DH, finally got enough people to push back out, but man It was quite the fight. Btw I was the crazy necro [ICNH]. I kept charging like 20 of you guys when you almost took down the north wall of the center keep lol.

I’d like to give a shout out to that [ASH] Guild Commander Warrior. I saw you so many times and had great battles today, just could never 1v1 because we always had someone else around us lol. Nice work i would have to say. Kept us on our toes all night.

Have been noticing a lot of undesirable attitudes from players in DH since the transfer lockdown. Corpse dancing/jumping, whisper-taunting and name-calling. Thrice I’ve also allowed DH to pass me by peacefully in the JP, only to have them come back and try to hit me. Today was the last straw, when my entire team of five waved and bowed to a thief from DH from the [KILL] guild in the JP, allowing him passage to get his chest, only to have him go invis and attempt to down one of our guys.

What’s happened to your more civilized players, Darkhaven? I miss the early fights we had when you guys were a lot more courteous.

You can’t blame Darkhaven for having those types of people that do that in the jumping puzzle. If that was the case I could say the same thing for both Henge of Denravi and Gate of Madness players. Other Guilds and people have their own mindset of how they want to play in the jumping puzzle. If they want to kill, what exactly can you or myself do about it? “Nothing” would be the logical answer.

I’ll throw my 2 cents about the EB JP. I’ve had numerous times where GoM has attacked me in there. There was a group on top camping it earlier this week while I was in the process of gathering members for it. Instead, we had to fight it out. That’s when I decided not to be Mr. Nice Guy in EB JP for the week.

And to Myro, of course I’m not asking any one person to do something about those attitudes. There’s no way any person could make an entire server civil, and I admit there are some bad eggs on HoD as well. All I’m asking is where is the old bunch of DH we fought a few weeks before? Meeting DH in the JP has always been a pleasant experience till recent weeks. I also wanted to say that I miss the earlier fights.

First time I’ve seen myself in a screen shot, so thanks Sororita! These fights were great! Funniest moment for me was getting scorpion wired by a DH thief in Sunnyvale and flying up above the vista there. At least I think that is what happened.

Aaahahhaa. [Abys] Got tired of kittenfooting around trying to get our bay back. We kept sweeping the majority of your defenders off the bridge in inner to give the “Alliance” guys a chance to take it, but they decided that going for front gate was a plan. And we were all perfectly fine until we noticed that the 30-40 of them had been somehow wipsed. So, yeah, 9 golems. [Abys] doesn’t kittenfoot around when we need to get our stuff done. I was that first golem!

Great screens though, you guys had pretty awesome defenses set up, and still took down about 4 of the golems before the door blew. Still a great fight!

Also would love to add: About dancing. I don’t corpse dance, but I’ll victory dance on my charr(only). The Reason being, the type of dance it is! The Haka is a ceremonial dance that is both a challenge and a sign of respect to your competitors or who the dance is done towards(it’s done at funerals of soldiers too as a sign of respect). Regarding jumping puzzle antics, there is an interesting comment made on the Chronicles of Tyria podcast, ep 32:

The comment is made by a Darkhaven player/podcaster, comes at 13:20 and points out that “Darkhaven is pretty well known for camping the jumping puzzle in Eternal Battlegrounds.”

Some people in here seem to be forgetting what happened in the first week of this matchup- HoD beat us in this tier by 14,000 points precisely one month ago. Come at us guys, we love to rumble! Let’s make this next week another fun one. I saw this image posted in the AR/BP/NSP thread and found it to be quite appropriate for T7 as well.

I have been roaming WvW in various tonics when things quiet down, but I find that it seems to attract a rabid form of bloodlust-induced crit instead of a friendly stroll, or herding rather, through the borderlands. If you see a snowman bouncing around Bluebriar, be warned, she does have daggers underneath that jolly hat.

And all those trebs at garrison! We smashed at least six of them on the cliffs at one point, then came back later and broke some more. Also, almost every arrow cart and flame ram we’ve run into the last couple of days has been upgraded to superior. Is there a siege sale going on over on DH or something?

Nah, In [Abys] at least, we all pool our siege on our main commanders. If you see us in [Abys]with a huge golem siege going on(we’ve done a 10 omega siege golem train before, video’s on youtube), or all the trebs, It’s usually Leone dropping them all. It’s common for members to buy siege, upgrade it to Superior, then hand it off to Leone for future deployment. It’s better to have one person throw down the siege then it is for random people to chuck it all over. The siege is either bought, or gathered from the jump puzzles. You’d be surprised how much siege a guild that can zerg 20-30 people of its own can get for itself for free, or at a really cheap overall cost.

We didn’t do the Trebs at garrison tho, we don’t normally do trebs at all… except for yesterday I guess, but he put them up in EB, not in garrison.

Just noticed that I’m the charr guardian in the last pic in the capture circle. lawls. Oh, and you guys in [RH] Were kinda fun to fight for the northwestern camp with, just before we built the golems. You guys had more people, and a couple of our overeager players overextended. Live and learn, won’t be that simple next time, you guys were easy to push back until they overextended past the choke where our ballista was hitting you guys.

I made a post with a screenshot on Feb 8th (Page 1 of this thread) of two HOD dancing on my corpse. I made a promise that night to dance on the HOD garrison and when I fulfilled my promise I was touted as taunting. So HOD dancing on DH corpses is legit but DH dancing in HOD garrison poor form? Maybe you should control your server before you try to correct ours.

Figured I’d stop and say hey to the other servers. I recently xfered back here from FA a couple weeks ago, and am starting to really enjoy this match up. GoM always seems like the little brother that gets picked on too much, while DH is just the big brother that decides which of the the two of us gets to be the focus of punishment for the day. Of course GoM and HoD tend to team up on DH at times, but this normally results in one of us back stabbing the other regrettably. But hey at least we’re havin fun

PS I’d like to give some credit to [BS] (i think thats the tag for basic) on GoM. Your small guild is pretty sick out there. You guys alot can put up a better fight than any other guild I’ve seen on the other servers (with less number than your fighting).
