after FoW and Vabbi got stomped by Blacktide we were eagerly looking forward to the server reset but things have gotten even worse. 2.5h after reset Arborstone has gained control of the whole map apart from 2 supply camps as im writing this. They got 5x the manpower of Vabbi+Fow combined and I can’t really see how on earth should WvW be fun for any three parties of this fight. I personally don’t enjoy stomping and even less I enjoy getting stomped; because of the sheer manpower Arborstone has we can’t do anything, we have no room for strategy because no matter what we do Arborstone can just steamroll through chokepoints.
Either merge servers or hardcap the amount of players but this just can’t keep going. No one on Vabbi+Fow is having fun atm and the situation will just feed itself as more ppl on the losing side quit out of frustration.

Well, nobody’s havin fun right now but i guess T9’s always been like this. I read that you guys started an alliance fow-vabbi to counter anybody that comes to T9, you should stick to this and don’t attack each other and only focus on AS.

I was going to start a matchup thread, but I suppose this counts. Shame it’s a bit negative. :p

By the way I’m having fun, even at the reset when we lost everything in short order. Me and a some guildies had some awesome fights! I know the situation looks dire but look on the bright side, we never have queues and little lag. :D

Imho it should be free to leave the bottom two servers. No insult intended, but they seem to be total wastelands in terms of WvW.

I understand the frustration completely. But I’m a self-confessed Fissure of Woe loyalist and I enjoy playing on the Fissure of Woe server — there are some great players there, excellent people to talk with. I feel the same as Hamham: I’m having fun, and with my guildmates we have some epic battles!

Concerning WvW population: at Australian peak times — the matches are still unbalanced, but nowhere near as bad as at EU peak times (I’ve played both). FoW can make significant gains during Aussie peak hours and employs smart tactics. Plus, I’ve experienced zero queues. Ever. Since I started playing several months ago.

quite honestly, i don’t see a reason why there are so many servers in EU in the first place, when half of them are medium population, it would be best to merge at least 6 servers, so u have high population and a fighting chance rather than getting stomped week on week.

but Anet will only listen if u constantly make noise about it like NA does.

Don’t worry Vabbi and FoW! Don’t give up and one day you will get there. All you need is a few solid WvW guilds who will become the back of your server!

Don’t you mean “free to join”? There’s definitely enough spare capacity elsewhere to get FoW and Vabbi up to the level of Arborstone…

Well, AS was 3 weeks in T8, it’s quite normal for us to score a lot because we want to tier up…

And even in T8, we made strong resets. But I can understand your frustration…

Feel the Arborstone rolling ball. The first reset we had against them we almost kittenour pants from seeing their numbers. A little night capping here and there will decrease their morale, and AS is a very morale oriented server. If they win, they will just get more ppl, and if they start losing… well, you’ll see a completely different Arborstone (btw I am not trying to insult AS, just stating my observation and trying to give an advice to our old friends on FoW).

Just hang in there, the reset night for many guilds are just a weekly event, things might change during weekdays. Gl.

Same here: Chose FoW server in the beginning, will never change to another.. So enemy servers, also wave to that nice white armour wearing ranger from [WvW]

The devs should merge WSR Vabbi & FoW. Call it White Vabbies of Woe server or something, as long as we get 1 solid balanced server numbers wise(wvw numbers off, we got enough PvE players ) – i’m happy

Had some more exciting fights tonight! We started off as two having some good skirmishes at the southern supply camp/ruins while the rest of our forces fought around bay. We ended up as 5 and fighting with some other guys in Arborstone BL over the tower nearest our spawn. Was a good night overall. I’m not saying we win all the time, as we’re often too slow to run when a big group comes, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves. :>

Shout out to Psychotic for giving his all and trying to get people to listen/follow tonight! You have more patience than I.

I’m also from FoW and would never ever ever change that, but still i think something needs to be done. I still enjoy WvW with awesome Guildees and even better friends, but still, if you see an 80+ peeps zerg steamroll through a tower and onwards to the next, which is manned with ten peeps, i’ll confess, i was kinda intimidated haha.

So yeah i think the idea of merging Vabbi, FoW and WSR is a good idea, better then letting peeps join us for free because let’s be honest, nobody from T6 or more is going to T9.

And about the pact between Vabbi and FoW, i don’t know if it still stands now, because yesterday evening Some 20 Vabbi peeps invaded our borderlands, and tried to cap to towers so yeah, that was quite a funny sight (no bad word about Vabbi, they have the biggest problem of all)
