Recent I started wondering zergy are individual servers. People talk about the difference in the tiers but I wonder if that’s just a matter of how many people are on, not the general behavior.

So I was wondering if people would be willing to share:

On your server, how often to people in WvW run in Packs? How many people are in a typical pack?

For example, on Tarnished Coast, people almost always run in a zerg and the zergs are usually 25+ people (I think, sometimes it’s hard to tell).

Seafarer’s Rest aim for around 30 per zerg, so not too zergy…

However, with ‘extras’ joining/leaving all the time, probably varies from 20 to 50 at any given time…

Most of the servers I have seen are similar, except the French servers, who just love wandering around as a MASSIVE zerg, 50-100+, both Viznah/Jade Sea do it. The Viznah players seem more organised thou…

Ahah i concur! We run in 10 or so tho, would love to get some 5vs5 in open field.
For all who gonna come tell me go tpvp .. it’s not the same

Generally speaking when server is leading you get floods of PvErs in WvW and here comes the blobs. Can’t really blame em.

The games group size is 5. (wish it was 8 people) 25 people is a Zerg in any mmo with pvp.

T1-2 servers sing I’m zergy and I know it but my server tends to run 30-35

Bear in mind that a commander can only have 30 (I think) in his squad so i would say a zerg is 30. a blob being 50 all stacked.

MicroZerg then MiniZerg then Zerg then MegaZerg then GigaZerg !!

On GH we’ll form up into large numbers a) if we need to versus a server with a higher population and b) can actually find that many people.

Mostly though its guild groups and relatively small scale stuff in terms of what people experience in the high tiers.

If we’ve had to form up then the blob will last a bit past the need for it as people naturally gravitate towards each other like psychopathic penguins trying to keep warm. It dissipates over time though.

I can’t really comment on EB as I stay out in the borderlands.

Off prime time though, you won’t find anything much. Its a zerg if two people log on and happen to be on the same map. There’s rumours of up to 5 being spotted out of hours but thats just crazy talk. We sent the person with the crazy wild eyes off for an MRI.

Depends what tier you find yourself in. In T7 EU that could be considered a large guild group

We zerg all the time at Eredon Terrace. Sometimes we get 7 people. Sometimes we get lucky and there are 12 or so. On rare occasions we might see a blob of 15-20.

It’s probably much larger than that. Anything that I can’t count on my fingers and toes is 25+ to me.

PAXA isn’t super interested in taking towers.

On Ebay we’ve seen up to 80 ppl at once.

Our zergs can get up there, but generally you’ll see 30ish. Now our organized groups are running 10-15 and sometimes up to like 20. Generally though you will see 10.
