Bottom Line: we are currently ranked the 5th best server in the world (sorry Blackgate but you may have the points lead but I don’t remember the last time you guys actually placed ahead of us)

as it stands, Denravi is in a league all its own at 2100.. there is a huge gap from the 2 – 3 -4 servers at 1900s and the 5 and 6 servers at 1700s.

Isle of Janthir needs more EU and NA based players .. the difference between the top 4 servers and everyone else is simply coverage

we lack it, they have it

if you want to be a part of a top ranked upcoming server who backs down to no one..

Isle of Janthir may just be the place you’re looking for

I warn you though.. this is for the fighters out there.. those who actually want to help in building something instead of joining what Mike Ferguson himself already admitted as “stacked servers”

Janthir’s main strength is its international players.. what we lack and in dire need of are EU based players as well as American primetime players..

so if you’re up for a challenge and playing on a server that is unbeatable except by the stacked servers..

That off Hour Presence killed us. We were about to over take JQ during prime time and then we all had to start heading to bed.. Wake up to a 50,000 point lead..

It’d be nice if we could get paired off against each other with another A-Rank server instead of one of the major alliance servers getting bumped off their bracket. Would actually have a close match for once instead of complete steam roll.

Now if the NA players of Blackgate and the International players of IJ could come together into some weird hybrid server. THAT would be a force to be reckoned with.

Dragonbrand can’t match us at all they were good but i think a buncha players transferred off there

and not sure what you mean by we have coverage for 6 hours..

our dead zone is 11 hours which is awful

Well, we’re willing to move anywhere atm.
Were just looking for a good, organized community that can grow.
When we tried IoJ, when anyone tried to lead last night, everyone trolled them and did whatever. Thats not a great community from what we saw, at NA peak hours.

Their logic is “ATTACK F DEFENSE… O CRAP WE LOSING REGROUP AT WAYPOINT AND FIGHT AT T HE SWAMP TO TRY TO TAKE OUR FORT BACK”

Please don’t. We have horrible queues as is. Goto low pop servers. Dragonbrand holds its own vs any server. Till night time that is. We have a horrible late night player population.

What are you on? ha ha. We got in within 15 mins of entering queue for a Borderlands, and about 30 mins on EB. (since u sit in Borderlands, and wait for EB to pop) during peak hours.

Thats like 10% of HoD queue time.

I mean, Sea of sorrows looks good (oceanic wise) too.

The NA players in IOJ are a joke and lack any semblance of coordination so much that my guild and others that were in IOJ left to a lower ranked server for the fact that they were willing to work as a team. Being on IOJ during NA prime was so frustrating seeing pugs attack a door relentlessly and not care that my guild took out a keep wall 5 feet from them. Or the constant caps “HE IS AN IDIOT LISTEN TO MEEEE!!!” chat in all the WvW zones. Or the totally WvW incompetent that didn’t even know what supply was.

I will not be surprised to see IOJ drop down in rank soon, (not against any of you Ocianics you guys were the backbone of the server) I just felt like I had to warn people what they were getting into.

I remember when Crystal Desert beat IoJ three days in a row… but I think since the matchmaking was bugged back then, it didn’t count it.

Seems like a lot of CD’s wins were before they started counting…

I may not endorse IoJ, but they are excellent rivals. Keep at it, and we’ll see you next time (yes I know IoJ stomped us last time they faced us, not sure why, but I’ve heard of other servers using the fly-hacking, but I didn’t hear about it for anyone other than GoM).

if there’s any real bad blood between any servers yet it’s between Crystal Desert and Isle of Janthir truth be told the matchups you were talking about counted.. but it was weird because it wasn’t Janthir that made it lopsided CD wins.. it was Sanctum of Rall being bugged and unable to log in

it was during the login issues AN had so basically CD won 4 straight rotations because we simply didn’t have the manpower in wv3 and Rall was empty so you guys simply capped all they had

that being said.. Janthir has crushed CD every single time something happened to that server.. I think you all lost a buncha people to be honest

I don’t ever look at CD and worry anymore.. it’s not a matchup at all Janthir’s international players simply dominate.. but yeah, if there’s any server out there that gets Janthir ready to fight it’s CD

Isle of Janthir North American players in WvW need organization not going to try to sugar coat that. Janthir is the exact opposite of most top servers. It has a strong Aussie/Korean community but NA prime time coordination needs work. A lot of unguilded WvW players or players in token guilds but not WvWing together. Isle does not have enough WvW focused guilds looking to help the puggers out.

I am working on it with some ideas. I just launched Isle of Janthir Players Association [JWvW| which is going to be a shell guild players who like WvW can join as a 2ndary guild and use it as a sorta /map /team.

So people are trying to get NA players coordinated. Its going to be a struggle but we already have a great Aussie/Korean community which allows us to be ranked six.

If you run a good WvW in Isle of Janthir during prime time you can pick up a lot of new members. I am running nightly 10-15 man’s and I am getting about 3 people each night asking to join my guild (not JWvW). I don’t even ask them to join. So plenty of recruitment potential for a NA WvW guild.

In Summary, Isle of Janthir has its issues just like every other server not ranked in first place. Our strong point is our Aussie and Korean community or weak point is NA Coordination and lack of WvW guilds and disorganized puggers.

I have not heard of any players mad at any particular server other than one incident in Eternal Battlegrounds with Blackagate and Jade Quarry or maybe Stormbluff.

Well as an example of the strength of the Oceanic community. When I logged on last night (7pm Australian time) the scores were 33K (GoM), 26K (DB), 25K IoJ. We had turned that around by 10pm when I went to be so IoJ was just passing GoM. This morning it is 90K (IoJ), 60K (DB), 60K (GoM) but we are just starting to drop down again now that Gate of Madness is back online and pushing hard.

I think they updated the rankings yesterday. We moved from 6th to 8th for NA Servers.
