Me and my guild are on Avlin rock and we have been facing Borilas pass and Emery bay for the last 3 weeks now….It is terribly silly. They both are high pop servers and we contently get zerged everywhere. No matter what Anvil rock does. We simply do not have the number to compete with them even on the weekends, which is the biggest turn out.

I would really like that high pop servers and low pop servers never face each other. It is starting to make WvW very uninteresting and not worth doing.

Aren’t all NA servers high population now? It’s not an issue of population, it’s participation, and ANet cannot account of that.

Weekends have always been a “weird” time for servers. DB constantly loses in the points department. We make it back as the week goes on.

How are all servers high pop? There hasnt been any server mergers yet. They even said you can transfer to lower pop servers for free when they let you. So its still a big issue

Boy I wish it was like that on our server I would also like to know why we haven’t changed servers the last 3 weeks From my understanding shouldn’t we get 2 new servers each week?

Dev if someone can comment on this low pop vs high pop server issue that would be really helpful:)

You cannot judge servers by their WvW populations. They’re highly or very highly populated because the majority of players are doing PVE stuff.

ANet really needs a system that can calculate each server’s WvW population rather than total population.

You would be getting zerged ALOT harder by anyone else above ur tier. The rankings right now are relatively accurate.

Here is a little experiment for you. Name what two other servers you would rather face?

Whichever you would name.. either you would get zerged harder, or you would be on the other end zerging the crap out of ur enemies.

Can’t be doing too bad really, you’re beating BP atm (and must have before to be higher rated). Part of it is map choice – I take it from your comments you’re not intimately familiar with everything WvW.

Try and figure out if your server has a community communication system so you can figure out where people are – which map and which objective.

Or, it could be that you play at unfortunate hours where your servers coverage is worse than your opponents. Its unfortunate, but happens to basically every server at some time.

The real question is whether there’s a server in a tier lower than Anvil Rock that’s better than Anvil Rock, or whether there’s a server in a higher tier that’s worse than Ehmry Bay.

It may well be that the current matchup is as good as it can get.

And it’s not like Anvil Rock is getting spawn camped. I’ve never seen them reduced to nothing. IMO that’s all you need to say the match is still good. Yeah you aren’t winning but you aren’t getting crushed either.

Server A can have more people that server B, but if server A has more PVE players, then they’re most likely going to lose the match.

Don’ t fret, EBay might come up to T4, we might go down to T5 and you might be zerged even harder.
