I currently reside on SoR and was thinking about moving to different server. I’m not a fan of the server or being in tier one. I found that when I was on lower tier servers I enjoyed wvw more. Any suggestions that people might have for other servers that they find enjoyable for wvw would be great. I like a community, but I didn’t like the way SoR ran theirs. If I do move servers it will be out of tier one.

Outmanned 24/7

NA prime time our numbers are nowhere near SF, but we still manage to hold our BL 90% of the time

I’m from an EU Server, currently in t8. Our daytime coverage is nice but our nighttime coverage is lacking there’s about 5-6 people on at night and it just isn’t enough against our enemies, we keep getting nightcapped. So if you want to fight outmanned and want to matter and you can handle a few hits then you should join Ruins of Surmia!
Our community is nice and we have a public teamspeak.

Thank for the replies so far everyone. Anyone else have an suggestions? I’ve got a general idea of what I like now plus what I’ve learned over time. I have liked and respective TC for a while now and enjoyed fighting against DB. NSP I don’t know much about you folks. If any of you would like to share more information about your servers and/or guilds I’d be happy to hear about it. Any other servers are welcome to share what they think of their server or even if they aren’t on said server.

Preferably, pick humble, non zergy servers with needs of help.
Crystal desert, ehmry bay, northern shiverpeaks, ferguson’s crossing, eredon terrace.

Join Aurora Glade stable T4 server. We could use bit more help in the mornings.

If your looking for a great server that could use some mid day wvw fill ins dark haven is the place to be. We have great players and always put on a good show. We’ve been running strong in t6 for a few weeks now

I strongly disbelieve this and so should anyone else that reads it. Not trying to be rude, just honest.

That being said they should really implement a feature where anyone wanting to transfer servers should have to come to ET or FC, we both desperately need the numbers. One thing I can say is both of us would gladly welcome any transfers to our servers. No queues to get in…..ever. maybe that will help you decide.

Come to Fissure of Woe. We have a small but faithful group of regular players. We are usually outmanned by the third server (Arborstone atm) 4 to 1 but still we manage to get some remarkable defenses done every once in a while which makes it a lot of fun if you consider the odds. Good thing is you get to know all the players you play with real quick. Same names and faces every night which is great.
So if you are looking for a challenge and don’t mind getting your kitten kicked every now and then you are very welcome on Fissure of Woe!

henge is a great place to be, for both pve & wvw.

Join Os, we have mads and bads.

TC. tier 2 we have great wvw guilds, also the server knows how to have alot of fun in the process.

Go join any T5-7.

T7 is pretty good right now.

You get a good run of the aspects available. There are some organized groups but a lot of militia. EB frequently has the zerg play while BLs have some soloers, roaming groups, and ninja attacks. Additionally, you get what seems to be the most balanced matchup available in NA WvW at this time and all three servers seem to be quite friendly (no offense to DH, but in recent times we compare to them and they seemed to have a lot more bad mannered players). There’s usually a weekly fight club as well, if thats the kind of thing you look for.

Each server has some pros and cons, as my impressions (not to be taken to heart by those of other servers)
NSP has probably the stronger roaming groups and large zerg guilds in the match up, meaning you should have options to fit your playstyle. However, they’re on a bit of a slide at the moment it seems due to internal drama, though one of the posters above says that clearing up.

GoM seems to have a big playerbase and lots of active guilds of varying sizes. They seem to have the most numbers in the matchup too meaning more impromptu chances to bump into and team up with allies. They seem to have guilds best suited to those who enjoy defensive play, as they like to take a point and hold it. Their downsides seem to be a lot of casual players, meaning your allies may not be everything you hope them to be all the time. Additionally, if you’re looking to have an opportunity to browse the tiers a bit, they’ll on a strong track to move up to t6.

Us at HoD – well, we have a pretty solid server-wide organization which is growing stronger and includes among other things voice chat, some visibility into server strategy and planning and a dedicated set of people who will seemingly do anything to help people get map completion in WvW when needed. We’ve been the underdog for a while but seem to be on a good rebuilding stretch, also our server is only ‘high’ population meaning transferring is cheaper. We also have a lot of people who have rode the sinking ship and are pretty determined. Drawbacks are probably that we have the weakest coverage of the three, and our population PvE wise is quite low as well, which means if you don’t guest, expect to see a lot of contested waypoints, underpopulated events and empty fields.

Come to ET and look for dark craver. He will bring you on sucide missions against the tyrant SF sea of zergs.
Joke aside. , it depends on what you actually wants. Challenging fights where you are out numbered 1: 2 or more. ET and FC is the place you could go.

Im on Aurora Glade [EU], a stable tier 4 server. We love our organization and have a great community.

AG has a few american players so you won’t be on your own running around.

If EU is what you’re looking for then Aurora Glade is probably your best choice. Come have a look sometime

His signature says he’s a commander yet I have never seen this guy on and I’m on quite a bit. SoR runs a community teamspeak that regularly has over 250 players on it yet I’ve never seen him or anyone from his guild.

At NSP we have had some recent hardships with loss of guilds and some bad eggs coming to the server, I’m almost positive those bad eggs have left and we can fully start recovering now. We are a very fun server who enjoy playing for the win but also always play for fun, some of our bigger guilds are Os, TFG, ZoS, ROFL and MoB along with many other medium and small sized guilds, we have been working on our guild coordination in fights. Our server is usually quite friendly and entertaining in chats and though doesn’t matter as much with guesting but our PVE is amazing too

We have some perfect WvW guilds in DB,NNK,TFV,BP,Krew,EA,etc.
And we need more NA WvW guilds.

I’ve got no complaints Deth. Myself, and about a group of our WvWers, moved over to SoR a few weeks ago from Yak’s Bend, but being an old Phoenix Throne <Bad Moon> I’d played with, or against, most of these guys and knew how capable they were. I’ve also came across some other old Yak’s Benders while I’ve been over here, some were our old commanders like Prophet Saladin. Overall, I’ve found SoR to be much more organized, competent, and united. I wish we would’ve transfered earlier so we didn’t have to leave our PvEers/inactives, and all that influence, over on YB.

Just because some individuals have never seen the OP and just because he is seeking to move off of SoR doesn’t make him/her a JQ/SoSGate spy trying to sabotage the server.

My friends and I have played on SoR since the headstart and participated in WvW just as long. Over the past few weeks we have all discussed our disatisifcation with the current state of WvW on SoR and have questioned moving to a lower tier ourselves. It was great fun to be part of the server’s blood, sweat, and tears move up the ranks culminating with a well-deserved trip to Tier 1 but it seems to have come at a cost. The SoR WvW community isn’t what it used to be. It seemed to have started to change toward the last couple weeks in Tier 2. I don’t know if this was due to an influx of transfers who jumped at a chance for Tier 1 or what. In addition for us WvW in Tier 1 isn’t nearly as fun as it was in the lower tiers where the WvW population was more evenly split among the servers resulting in closer matches.

I am in fact on SoR right now. I moved over here from Yak’s Bend I came with some friends. In fact several of our guild members and I have been on TS in the past. I choose not to get on it because I don’t like the way the community is run or the TS. I don’t put my commander badge on most of the time, because I usually go to a map and look there is already 3 or more badges on. Our guild is fairly small and most people wouldn’t see us running around anyways. Lots of us are looking for possible homes on the server currently as it’s been hard to expand and smaller guilds don’t quite do as well anymore.

I’d be happy to stay on SoR if I could find a guild I like. I really don’t want anything to do with BG or JQ. If you just have hate to spread, go away. I don’t like SoR right now. That’s how I feel. Now get over it.

Anyways, thank you everyone for the feedback I’ve got some thinking to do and I saw some PM’s I’ll be figuring out what I want to do soon. In the meantime any and all feedback on servers and guilds is appreciated.

Hi, I am TC commander that loathes Mumble/VoIP. TC is a pretty great server and there is always room for anyone big or small and even crazy people like me that will only rarely use VoIP. The vast majority of our player-base is in a small guild (less than 30 people, 10 or so active) and we would love to have you.

That said, if I was going to transfer anywhere, it would be to a T7-T4 server. I miss ninja’ing keeps all the time and in T2 that is much much harder to do.
