YOU ARE NOT THE INVENTOR OF WORDS!!! lol
Make it so the enemy factions cannot see outmanned buff It is a green light to rush as much as you can as fast as you can.
I agree. I don’t see any reason why the enemy should know that your server is outmanned. They wouldn’t know how many troops you have on a map. And they shouldn’t.
agree too, in wars you havent public statistic too, use scouts etc.
I agree, letting the enemy see the outmanned buff is a bad idea. The buff is pretty much useless anyway and this just makes it a liability.
The buff would be better if it was made into a buff that only affected keeps, towers, and supply camps owned. Similar to guild claiming buffs. That way you could give a buff equivalent to say the old 3 orb buff but it could only be used in defense of what you already owned.
Completely agree. The second I see an opponent outmanned on a map when I’m commanding, I drop whatever I was doing and hit their stuff. It’s a great big ‘hit me while I’m down’ sign.

No info should ne displayed as boon/foods/ upscaled lvl, etc etc.
only guild and server should be observable.
Yep I completely agree with this. Your opponent certainly shouldn’t know if you are outmanned.

+1 +1 +1, is it possible to +2 something? :P
As a bonus removing that stuff would clear up my display – its so annoying having that display right in the middle of your view. And its so much stuff: Name, Guild, Server, now Title, and all those boons etc.

+1 from me too.
As a necro, I want to see those boons But I agree that the outmanned doesn’t need to be showned.
I’d suggest, as a previous poster said, just removing boon/condition visiblity entirely. I don’t feel that I should know the “condition” of my enemy any more than they should know mine.
There’s also the fact that this is currently a mesmer exploit. You can tell which things are clones because they have no boons/conditions.
Outmanned visible to the enemy?
Out.
this is a very good simple idea.
I couldn’t disagree more on the boon part of this discussion. For small scale fights, knowing what conditions/boons an enemy has can completely change the fight. It inspires skill rather than guessing what your enemy is doing and just hoping it goes well. I’m not sure why people are supporting removing skillful play from an PvP game type. I’m pretty sure I would quit WvW on the spot if they did something like that.
Outmanned buff should go though.

I am all for removing outmanned and the uparrow from the enemy seeing it, but asking for no info would just dumb down play. How do you intelligently strip someone of their boons, or know when to add conditions, if you cannot see what the enemy has? The game has enough zerging button mashing meta’s, we really do not need to encourage more blind pressing of buttons.
You have to be able to see the buffs and debuffs as its a part of the games strategy in PvE and PvP. But I agree on the Outmanned buff.
I’d like to see outmanned hidden to enemies as well.
Boons and foods should be displayed . removing them will remove some counter play
Outmanned buff should not be visible to my enemies as it is certainly a sign for commanders to rally their troops and knock down the doors.
As others have mentioned, you do need to know what boons and conditions your enemies have though because some classes like my Necro focus a great deal on that knowledge in order to play them properly. I would never play my Necro in WvW if I had to guess when to use certain skills.
I would like to add one thing to the discussion though. The main advantage to the outmanned buff is that now my armor takes no damage and the risks involved are reduced to nothing, but it would be nice to get some sort of warning or count down for when it is going to wear off.
Outmanned can blink on and off within seconds and there is no way for me to know that I am actually going to pay for my recklessness unless I stare at the icon continuously.
Ultimately the repair is not my issue with it. I can afford it, but I do have enough pride involved that I do not like to remain in an unwindable situation incurring repairs thinking I am outmanned but not.
I do not know how long this buff takes to go on or off, but I have been at the mercy sometimes of players just using the WvW portals to get a free trip back to Lions Arch which seems to trigger the buff on and off rather quickly, or so it seems.
I haven’t had a chance to test this to see how long it takes for the outmanned buff to engage or disengage while the traveler spawns and then abruptly leaves. I just know it can go on and off very quickly without any warning.
100% agree with OP. I’ve thought this a million times, said it to people in my party and guild but never bothered to post it.
Yes please!
I agree that enemies shouldn’t be able to see the outmanned buff. It basicly tells you that they have no one on the map.

Do we play the same game?
Boons have particle effects associated with them, I see no reason to remove them from the UI (conditions too), all this does is disadvantage people running on minimum graphics. And buffs zerg play where these particles are easily hidden in the wash of explosions.
