honestly Anet the only ways we get our Badges of honor for our legendarys is by eathor doing the JP or by killing players it would be nice if there was another way to get them like capturing a fort or tower or camp im getting sik and tired of trying to do JP and having to die a lot by people who troll the JP. this is really fustratring and i would like some change please. here is a screneshot of what im talking about

They aren’t going to be changing it.
Although I do agree tower and keep captures/defense should reward badges o.O

this is the second day i have tried the JP and well i keep getting to the rock drake area and i keep dying because of other people trolling the badges should be rewarded like this

Fort-10
Tower-5
Camp-1
if you ask me it seems like the only way to get them is by killing players. or by not dying from other players on the JP. i would like to see a change.

God forbid you have to fight players in a PvP map…

But just so you know, the NPC’s at supply camps, towers, and keeps drop bags of loot. And those bags can have badges in them. You aren’t forced to do the jumping puzzles.

It’s not even remotely “trolling”. It’s a PvP zone dude, that means people kill each other. If you can’t handle small fights then run with zerg, you can get plenty of badges that way too.

Anet has no problems with this. Anet guys have camped jumping puzzles as well.
You’re supposed to have to pvp in order to get the Gift of BATTLE. Legendary weapons are to show that you have mastered all aspects of the game…..

Why does one think they put a jumping puzzle in the pvp zones anyway? Im pretty sure it wasent because they ran out of room elsewhere.

what are you talking about by magic fountans?

The are fountains throughout the puzzle that, when you drink from them, give you 5 minutes of stealth. If you’re fast enough ,you can do the entire puzzle stealthed, and thus avoid the pvp.

You have to be really fast, and have perfect jump puzzle skills to do it completely stealthed though. More than likely, it will run out before the dark room, so you’ll have to get through the arena normally anyways.

Posts like this is why I love “trolling” the JP.

make your time more productive earn badges by completing the JP and killing players on the way?
I will also continue to kill players in the jp because its a pvp zone, red is dead

Yeah couldn’t believe it when my guildies told me there were several threads showing them in the eb complaining about it.

easily accumulated more then 3000 badges. Maybe you should participate with your commanders and karma ride it through. As far as i know and experienced i keep getting badges off supervisors and claimers. Always. im sitting on 5 stacks of badges right now and thats after getting the full invaders accessory set.

Getting a legendary isn’t supposed to be easy. If you get this wrecked over a few mishaps that don’t go your way in the JPs, then I suggest you rethink about that legendary. How about making it more favorable on your behalf and getting a bunch of people in the JPs with you to help counter the attack.

I “understand” the /wave, but if people are killing then kill back. I try to avoid waving altogether and sort of nudge them in the direction of attacking me first. Then I kill. See, there’s absolutely no such thing as “trolling” in the JPs—especially since there are traps and such built into it to harass opposing jumpers.

That’s the point.

Now if we’re talking about the Mesmer portal to the top… I still think that’s a little silly.

I would rather they turn off the ability to build siege in the JP, having people build arrow carts at the top of the well and blocking it for two other servers for 3 days is no fun. They should have to use the trap built into the JP, at least you can get pass them with good timing.

To the OP… It’s a PvP zone. Regardless of whether or not someone believes a jumping puzzle should be in a PvP zone, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a PvP zone.

I would have agreed with you before they were put for sale on the TP.

Copy and pasting my post from the EB JP thread from earlier today (which ultimately was locked due to there being MANY threads in this forum on this topic).

Another day, another jumping puzzle thread. OP, I highly encourage you to do a search next time. We see many new threads complaining about the EB jumping puzzle in this forum and your thread on this issue is not unique. By doing a search, you would have known the predominate opinions of the WvW forum regulars and would have known how this thread would turn out (not to mention you could have posted in one of the many existing threads on this topic instead of creating yet another new thread on the issue).

I don’t mind pvp in the WvW JPs but I agree that badges should be more common drops from other activities as well (and perhaps removed from the JPs entirely), making those going for their legendary participate to their server rather than just take up slots on the map. Hopefully this is something that will be addressed in the patch on the 28th-

I kill people in jumping puzzle for their badges.

Capturing camps, keeps and towers does give badges. Not every time though, but then again this isn’t the easymode PvE land

I am at 8 stacks. I get most from killing people running as a guild, second most from flipping camps/towers with 5 man or less. I hardly ever get JP badges and i think they should remove them from the JP entirely. badges from camp/tower lord is like 90% drop rate or something. You just need to do alot of the damage to the lord. on a lvl 80 5 man team flip camps and you will get alot more badges than jumping puzzles give you. Also QQ, killing people in PVP is not trolling.

Another thread about someone QQing about PvPing in a PvP zone. IDEK.
