I know this has probably been discussed before but I would love to see a Dev response to clear it up (if that has already happened them I apologize and would love to see a link to such a response). My question(s) are A) can precursors drop in WvW from what things would they drop from ( so players? Guards? Lords?) C) is the drop rate, while already very low, even lower in WvW than in PvE?

I can confirm that precursors do drop in WvW from both, NPC’s as well as enemies.

Dunno about the drop rate though.

I can confirm as well, I’ve seen guildies score some precursors.

Confirmed, you can get pre-legendaries at a very low rate, if you like wvw then you won’t find it a hastle and will get it sooner or later!

Great! One last question…does DR come into play in WvW?

I would assume it doesn’t matter where or what for a precursor, as long as there is a chance of an exotic dropping, there is a slim chance that exotic will be a precursor.

I have played 700+ hours in WvW alone and so far i have got only 1 exotic and less than 10 rares, however i have heard of people getting precursors,

I don’t think you can get it from WvW – all the invader stuff is pow/vit/tough. I got mine from the karma vendors in Orr, at the temples.

That’s sad. I’ve had numerous exotics and at least a rare per day, if not more. And I’m not running any MF at all…

The only good drops in WvW I had so far were 2 rares and 1 black lion key. All 3 came from the same NPC, Veteran Guard.

The drop rate must be really bad, since most players have somewhere in the thousands as far as kills go, especially including NPCs…. and only a hand full have ever gotten loot of that quality.

I have had at least 3 precursors drop however I couldn’t get them because they were still in the loot bags on the ground next to my dead body. But I know there were at least 3 precursors in them.

im pretty sure if you kill the same person within X minutes of killing him last time, there is no reward
