What calculations are you basing this on?

That is exactly what I did. I just looked at history, looked at this week, and then guessed what the initial match-ups might be. We still know nothing official.

As I said in the original post, speculation, guess, estimate. Call it a gut feeling. No calculations involved.

Well, officially they said they would reset the ranking, use the formula we are used to and make small adjustments. Based on that, many don’t think millennium will be that far off.

So, you think they will match dead servers against 24/7 full coverage servers? I don’t think so. That would be like throwing everyone in a hat and see what happens.

Yes I think so. I hope not, but based on ArenaNets past performance I suspect they will. But I really hope not.

I am not entirely sure on tier 4 and down, but the top 3 tiers seem pretty accurate honestly. I would switch FA and TC though.

if that’s the match ups for next week, which doesn’t actually take into account the points reset, i wonder why would anet reset the points in the first place ?

Sorry, not February 8th, but more like March 1st.

I like the idea of the T1 servers getting stuck in T4 for a week. And Sorrow’s Furnace going from the bottom to the top is pretty cool( even though they will probably not have much fun next week). I know next week will be very mismatched, but for now it makes me smile.

A tier 3 server and 2 tier 8 servers. Yeah nothing can go wrong there.

Would be funny if DB got bumped down there with Mag.

I honestly think a monkey throwing darts at the list of servers could have picked better matchups than the reset will. Of course, the new math may resolve some of this.

This matchup is based on real assumptions, the only thing that’s can be missing is some adjustments that Anet is going to made and no one knows.

Fantastic Matches on EU:
Whiteside Ridge (25); Vizunah Square (1) ; Dzagonur (19)
Gunnar’s Hold (13); Seafarer’s Rest (4); Drakkar Lake (18)

Predictions:
VZ is going to eat them a life, and going to T1 again, SFR will go to T2, and try to stay there, we really don’t want to play against VZ again (please read the comments from the actual opponents).

The big question is “The people responsible for this know anything about the game and WvWvW?”

You are suggesting rankings based on the current system. If they do a reset, it will be different. Servers blowing out their opponents will be at the top, close matchups will be in the middle, and servers getting blown out will be at the bottom.

Next week will certainly have some uneven match-ups, but it will be nice to see some new servers for a change.
