I think an interesting idea to help prevent these 100K+ blowout games would be to create a buff for losing teams based on how far behind they are. The farther behind in points they become, the stronger their character becomes on that server.

This would only be activated after a certain distance of total score would occur. I’m not sure what the sweet spot would but imagine if server A is at 150k pts and server B and C are at 50k pts then server B and C characters would have increased stats until the scoring reaches the sweet spot again and they become normal.

With this implemented it would make the game more dynamic and interesting for all sides of the battlefield. If a server is able to cap 100% of the map during the night and rack up points the other servers will have an easier time re-taking the map. People logging on to a 100% owned map is not fun for either side of the fight.

This effect would allow for comebacks. League of Legends currently does this however they do it for experience. If one team significantly falls behind in level they gain greater amounts of experience which allows them to have a chance at a comeback.

Honestly I think this would just turn the game in to a stalemate where no side is able to make meaningful progress, and end with us being right at the same place, but with an entirely different problem to rage about.

I’m not saying that it should last until the scores are completely even, but just to a point where the other servers feel like they actually have a chance at making a comeback. The way it is now it feels pointless for the losing servers to even try since the dominant server is so far ahead and there’s no incentive to play other than server pride.

like you said though, they would only get that feeling of coming back and once the buff is gone because they closed whatever gap they needed they would just get stomped again. Most of the issues are player based not mechanic based. This i giveup attitude at the slight glimpse of a loss is what is killing most servers. Why do you think afking and bg quitting became such a big issue in all other games. Its the attitude of the players not the game mechanics. Devs cant fix players, they just dont have the proper coding :P
