What I mean by “hungry” is simply that we are getting tired of having our lackluster early morning presence cause us to have all our maps flipped away from us by the time we log back on in the afternoon here. We want our hard work and dedication to matter; and even though we kick kitten in our primetime, we just don’t have morning numbers(our morning—your afternoon/evening). It’s depressing, and some of us might be shaving years off our lives with all the gallons of coffee we are drinking to stay up late. :P A lot of us are WvW junkies and I for one would be eternally grateful and welcoming to any of you willing to join our awesome server.

Btw, we have a very strong PvE crowd here too, as well as some RPG’ers and sPvP’ers. We offer a lot for everyone.

My wife and I just trasferred to this server and we are loving it. We brought a few of our friends, too. The story behind this server is very touching and is the primary reason why we joined. Not to mention that the players on this server are all very helpful and communicate very well in WvW.

I strongly recommend anyone who is even thinking of finding a new home to give Sanctum of Rall a look. Join something that is more than just a server name.

5th overall not 4th. But other than that great post. We kick kitten in US primetime but need some late night crew just to hold the fort down. Server has great history and if we receive a viable late night crew we would easily move to Tier one.

Great post Obsidian, and yes, SoR has a very meaningful background to its name unlike other servers, and because of that, community is very tight-knit, all guilds are like friends, we hop on other guild’s channels and chat with them, just like that. No pointing fingers or trash talking.

From Sea of Sorrows i would reccomend Sanctum of Rall, they have arguably the strongest NA presence out of any server which means that Sanctum of Ralls strongest presence is stronger then any other servers, and they have great tactics and fighting spirit.

The folks over here have pure dedication and it shows. We never get up no matter what the score is, or what place we are in. You will always see SOR in nearly the same numbers each and everyday. Our tactic’s along with guild organization and coordination is what makes us such a threat to everyone we play against.

If you are looking for a server that NEVER GIVES UP and has the experienced players to prove we ARE a top server. Then I advise you to join Sanctum of Rall.

For the record, GSCH was a RvR DAOC Guild, and RvR WAR Guild, and IS a GW2 WvW Guild. Just because we don’t come on TS in bulk doesn’t mean we don’t WvW. Over 80% of our families Activities logged are in the WvW lakes. The only reason we are playing Guild Wars 2 is for the WvW. So to say GSCH isn’t a WvW guild is quite silly. We just are more casual about it than most. We focus on Fun over being #1.

I play with United Sanctum Alliance [USA], great bunch of people, we do it all PvEverything. We have a group of about 15 or 20 that do nothing but WvW and around 40+ and growing, doing it all. If you looking for an all encompassing guild check us out on SoR.

Aye, GSCH has a very strong WvW presence. Pretty much any zone, any time, and any group in WvW will have at least one or two GSCH members taking part. Our guilds definitely have a different philosophy (For us, we see being #1 as the most fun), but I would be remiss if I discounted your devotion to WvW.

All in All, if Sanctum of Rall could get a professionally-minded, strong Oceanic presence we would be a contender for first place NA. It would be wonderful to face SoS again; those matches really brought our server community together.

I really thought once IOJ dropped to tier 3 they would have had a mass exodus to SoR. I know a lot of people were talking about this at one point but I guess it didn’t work out. Ahh just think of the possibilities.

I always respected IoJ…they were tenacious given their numbers. However, TC seems to be a lot more technical oriented than IoJ was. They like to defend stuff…wuuuuuuutt?? Kudo’s to TC’s siege tactics and organization.

SoR has a great PvE community as well. The other day I saw a player hitting up map chat in the lower levels, and welcoming all new players with a gift, and generating conversation. The new people really seemed to enjoy it.

This is a WvW board, but sometimes our family or significant others aren’t as in to WvW as we are, so the Sanctum is a good place for them as well.

Maybe the best thing that can be said about the server though, is that the people here are here to stay. Win or Lose. This community will only grow in the coming months and years, so Sanctum is a perfect place to stake your claim.

It would be nice if this can be bumped to the top during the oceanic time so they can see it like now.

Agreed, many of us really really miss the SoS fights. Although I gotta give props to TC, they’ve got some gutsy face charging players that are a lot of fun to fight against.

Back OT:
SoR with any type of Oceanic presence would be just flat out scary.

SOR likes to camp in the jumping puzzles and kill people, even using a golem and porting it from place to place in the puzzle killing people. Guilds involved, life is a glitch, BRO, and some other one i forgot.

We have a pretty strong NA presence, just need to build up our coverage gaps.

This server provides some of the most fun you could have in WvW.

at 0945 CST this today, SoR BL had at MOST 50 defenders. at this exact same time, BG had a que not only in our BL, but TC’s as well. SoR had no more than camp capping grps in all other maps combined.

with that being said, SoR STILL remained on the map, and pushed BG back, even being outnumbered 2-1 at every turn. but sadly the numbers will win against us at the end.

this thread has mostly been targeted at overseas players, but let me clerify that there is ZERO location requirement. yes we need help for oceanic primetimes, but NA overnight players are just as welcomed

Could you please schedule your activities for a few hours earlier? I’m really anal about siege placement, and it’s frustrating I never get to see the results. Seems you guys always start pouring into SoR BL right when I have to go to work. I have a few sneaky ballista’s I wish to skewer your golem column like Buffy at a vampire bar-b-que. I mean it’s really quite rude not to think of us and our feelings.

SOR stomps during our prime time. It would be nice if all those keeps could be held overnight. We could use a couple strong Asian or Australian guilds to back us up.

SoR needs more oceanic presence, but we will take anyone interested in great Wv3 actions in tier 2, check us out!

Are any of your guilds recruiting for NA prime-time players? Semi-hardcore player here unhappy with current server & guild. I love WvW and play in it often. I also am looking for a group that runs dungeons regularly so I can outfit my characters in PVT gear to not be as squishy in WvW. Voice comms is a must along with friendly, helpful guild. I’ve unfortunately been held back in my game progression due to getting tricked into joining inferior guilds. Looking for the next evolution. Please hit me up if your guild is a fit. Great thread obsidian, Sanctum of Rall is an awesome server with very helpful guilds and overall great community. Anyone that transfers here will not regret it

Also, thank you tkalamba and kuora for mentioning our guild, [PLUM] here we are relatively new compared to the other guilds mentioned above but we are very active and growing fast.

Blackgate most likely will be moving to Tier 1 next week, come join SoR to help us fight for the top spot in Tier 2 and pave the way to get into Tier 1!

I do agree, but we can still take advantage of this. We can use this to provide a list of all the active WvW SoR guilds for a one stop shop of all our guilds.
