Tarnished Coast has it all – skilled PvPers, very collaborative PvErs and welcoming RPers. Plus we have not one, but many nickname to choose from – you could be a Toaster, Coaster, Boaster, Boater, Bloater, Moper…the possibilities are only as limited as your own vocabulary!

I’m part of a small guild that is currently in the process of trying to transfer over to Tarnished Coast. One of my friends already made it in, but the rest of us have to compete with the constant FULL status of Toast.

It sounds awesome, the giant mumble, the community….my friend says that there are actually people in Divinity’s Reach, which is his favorite city. We have around a week to get in for free, so I’m really hoping we can do it.

Good times to try, weekdays only (although I have seen openings around this time on Saturdays):

3am (est)
7am (est)
Have seen it open between 6-7 pm (est)

Best of luck … My friends managed to get in at those times.

Another thing that I read that the CD guys are doing is a mass-logout. If your guild wants to transfer in during a certain time we can coordinate with the other large guilds and do a mass log-out and hopefully allow you guys to join. We can coordinate this over VOIP.

Don’t forget Theon, most of the hardcore toasters are just a little bit crazy, and it makes WvW heaps of fun.

The current WvW matchup scores might look a little lopsided against TC, but this is a server which hasn’t seen any significant influxes or outfluxes. Our WvW population is very stable. A few Toasters are just taking a rest break from the hard battles over the last few weeks, the rest are out there doing what we do best – having fun fighting.

Few people outside TC gave us a shot at T3. We hit T3.
Few people outside TC gave us a shot at getting into T2. We entered T2.
Few people outside TC gave us a shot at anything but 3rd place in T2. We placed 2nd last matchup in T2.

TC isn’t a flash in the pan server. Your guild will not be one of the scores to throng a server and will not be joining a server which has seen desertions by PvP guilds, if you join TC.

While many other servers experience the drama of the big rise and fall, the Coast is firm and steady.

TC is my second favorite server.

We are currently in the process of doing a blackout, allowing more players to join the server. If you’re reading this on TC right now, please encourage all your guildmates and anyone else to log off for an hour or so.

These blackouts are working quite well and we have had success getting newly transferred guild onto TC.

Well its always full i check it everytime to transfer in but its full QQ. I play afternoon to the sunrise. One day i will get in… one day…

best time to try is during oceania time or worst time for US, its almost certain.

Try around GMT +0 noon, which if you are in the Philippines is GMT +8 (8pm).

Could we post the black-out times on Reddit as well? I’m sure a lot of Toasters are subscribed to /r/guildwars2.

In fact, we should also be advertising the black-out times in the map chats of Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach, etc.

Tarnished Coast is currently very high and open for transfers. If you do transfer over, please make sure you log out after doing so to allow more people to transfer in.

I believe we do have several black-out timings scheduled to facilitate a few guilds coming in as well as any other interested individuals. They don’t always work, but quite a few successes have been reported so I can only advise you to keep trying.

Have had a few people transfer as of 10:00 PM PST last night – worth a shot at this time if the blackouts aren’t successful for those of you looking to transfer!

guess the blackout didnt work lol. Almost 8am. Guess il try a couple hours more then sleep :/

We might want to publicize them more too. Make sure every single Toaster knows about them. Spam map chat in Divinity’s Reach and Lion’s Arch, and so on.
