For so long we were outnumbered in SoR (oceanic pt), but we kept coming out fighting despite the overwhelming numbers.

For once, it’s a bit more even, and all we hear is whining from former ‘champions’.

Every T1 server has this problem (SoR included), it’s just fair weather players. Several weeks ago when JQ and BG were winning SoR wasn’t fielding half the numbers that they have been recently.

Get off/out JQ BL with that crap!!! Take it to your own BL’s……

from personal experience on desolation(most populated EU server, by far!) i can tell its much easier said than done to get them involved, pve’s get demotivated too fast.
we had set up website, held traning, ts comms, constantly spammed LA for people to join wvw, there’s only so much u can do, if someone on your servers doesn’t wanna wvw and only leech bonus from you, that’s all they will ever do.

People , please stop posting “full” comments at the drop of a hat. it has nothing to do with WvW at all!!!

We get 1 guild and turn the tables, just goes to show the Quality over Quantity we have over here. Stop whining on the forums and get in there and fight!

Especially BG, you guys were mocking SoR since you got your first “Gold” now we are going to be tied. But we have more Silvers…….Medal wise we will be better (This was your form (BG) of measurement months back, remember) unless you do something about this impending win….

BTW I had no idea about the rivalry with BG, then I saw how all of these guilds flocked to you and then disappeared, yet you guys kept whining. Out of all the T1 servers you got the most guilds, what have you done with them? Each month I hear more and more whining when the “Grab all the Guilds” plan fails. Build your own guilds from Blackgate, consolidate the Guilds that fell apart and want to stay, into one guild. Just do something instead of crying.

Anyhow good luck in the future (I hope a lower Tier doesn’t wipe you too soon, that would just be an ego boost to them, I do actually want to fight BG in the future, I need to get my second legendary, couldn’t get the first without the loot bags!)

You guys used to have a monster force on coverage which was a challenge to face. We understand the fair weather types and perhaps they got spoiled with the hardwork some of your guilds put in for #1. Now your down (but not out) and by whining here your giving the PUGS a reason not to show up, when you need them more than ever at this point to field numbers. May seem like a bit of JQ love, but hell JQ earned my respect:)

this isn’t about coverage or winning or losing, it’s about a shoddy game design that doesn’t encourage balanced gameplay. SOR will start bleeding players shortly due to boredom, can you not see a pattern here? – It’s all because ANET allow servers to stack and then dominate WvW. Remember what happened to HOD, SOS, the list goes on.

I was the one commanding tonight btw, but hey i’ll take your rebuke on the chin, for whatever imaginary slur i gave you. All I was saying was that we left the wall down at bay and did not build one piece of defensive seige so that we could have an even fight.

You had us outnumbered in almost every fight, sometimes 2 to 1…is that not even enough still?

Is there ever any random group on group fights in WvW that are 1:1 numbers? Or do you sit there and count nameplates before and after each fight?

A battlefield commander (even in real life) needs the ability to consider the situation and make judgement calls based on his perception. Numbers aren’t the only consideration of course but it is a huge one, perhaps the biggest, in a game like this that rewards bigger groups.

Tbh. There were/are quite a few RL Battlefield commanders who don’t care about numbers and still win the fights.

Since you weren’t the only one counting. You guys had roughly 33 people in that group, couldn’t count them correctly since you had people skirmishing back and forward.

We had two groups of around 18-20 IRON tags, with 1 of the groups having 1 HIRE person with them.

So we roughly had 38 players on the fights with you. Now 5 extra players make a difference, specially in organized fights. But it wasn’t a 2:1.

I enjoyed the fights and you guys did give us a bit of pressure.
But saying you downed quite a lot of us, mabey – mabey not.

From my perspective in the “wallfight” ,were we had 10 players (which were 15+ actually) go to your back and distract you, we had 7 downed players including me, which 2 of them got stomped of (not me).

This is by no means any sort of elitism, just telling what I saw in that certain fight.

Probs for you guys in coming to fight over and over.

Mabey we indeed should get an real even number organized fight going, like offski suggest.

Give us a poke – we’re up for it!

RK was running supply and making sure the standing force at Bay of maybe 20-25 was well-watered, so to speak. IRON would charge when RK was out of sight, then we’d try to time their appearance to catch you in a pincer.

There was some very good back and forth. I’m not afraid to admit that we wiped a couple of times, and I saw RK very bravely take on your full zerg with their paltry 15-man squad. Obviously, they would wipe, but they would give your forces enough pause for the MERC group to catch their breath.

But you also should not conveniently forget that we won some battles while at a disadvantage. One particular push I counted no more than 20 of us on at least 35 of you and it showed in how long it took to down all of you guys. Good trades, good back and forth and really props and kudos all around. BG BL Bay was the place to be last night.

‘And there running’ is like a catchphrase in TS3 over here on SoR. Here’s a couple “fights” i recorded within the last hour. I think you can tell from the disappointment in the voices that this has been happening all day.

Both of those fights show 20-30 organised green dots about to wipe similar or lesser numbers of randomly tagged folks.

In the first case its a rushed attack on bay, and they seem to have scouted your team arriving to bay and got the hell out rather then feed you free wxp by staying beating at the north inner gate.

In the second case, an attempt at spawn camp has clearly taken too long and theres massed reinforcements arriving from your team, which now has respawn advantage.

In both cases the decision to leave rather then feed the enemy appears the correct one.

I dunno, when Indo was like “they are building an AC there” and you all were top of the stairs, you had a huge advantage to wipe him. However, Indo seemed surprised, as did I when I watched it, to see that you guys didn’t even rally… just ran.

It’s hilarious how all the forum warriors from every server seem to think “No, my server is different! We’re the only dedicated server and you other servers just don’t try hard enough! Our guilds are super skilled [at zerging] which is why you always run from us.” Wake up. WvW is a numbers game, and it always has been. Your server is not special; your guild is not special. Just relax and enjoy the game.

Also, everyone talks about numbers. I can assure you I’ve been in fights where 20 of us took on 40 of them, and vice versa and succeeded. Numbers count as far as coverage, but as far as skirmishes, not so much.

To be fair, we had some great fights in Bay, we actually hopped to EB cause we changed commanders and thought we might have some fun on EB. If you ever see us on a map / disappear from a map and want to fight just give us a whisper

No worry’s that is what i thought. Every one moves like they wan’t to i don’t mind.
It was fine for us we where only there for another 30mins after all RK can only be active for 3-4 hours a night because we are still a small guild. Very active, but no numbers to stay active for long.

Now i will ignore offski for now because every guild have blowhards with little sens who can’t see the bigger picture of a fight.

The two best fights was the fight in between bay and garri when we where staring one another down for a bit to see who did what. I was trying to get you to charge us, but in the end our vale faint worked.

The other fight is when we went inside BAY with your forces on the Bridge and took the top of the walls. You sent +10 around back to flank.

My plan was to let your 10 get closer, charge them in a faint and then come plug op the stairs and it worked, but you where to many. At least we manged to down a ton of yours so it was all good.

we got tired of all BG and JQ running in to their towers as soon as we approached so we hopped border.

From your mouth and then there is the post you edited down.
Where you where talking about us running away and the commander calling for there to be put walls and marks so we could not run away written in CAPS!. Now you have edited that out.

That did not happen the 2 hours RK was in the zone we never ran . Before RK arrived in BG MERC was the only force there mostly made up at 10-15 Militia with a few Merc in between. Ralikh did a great job.

RK was called into help BG border and we had 15-18 RK on at our most powerful supported by a few EK and later on a few JL. We never had more then 25 at the most because we needed scouts every where to stop SoR and JQ havoc.

I the commander of RK that actively threw my guys at you several times to give you a fight knowing full well that you had at least 10-15 more then me. I actively took my guys out into open paths and into your bay knowing full well that it was a death sentence every body from RK. We did know about your arrow carts on the bridge.

What do you think i took 20 people into a choke vs more numbers in a effort to assault bay?? I went in there because i was testing your strengths and working on counters while also giving you the fight you have asked for and getting to have fun and your response to that was.

So it seems the other servers are experiencing what SoR had to deal with since day 1 in Teir1… did we fall out of Tier 1 or did we keep fighting? We get 1 guild and turn the tables, just goes to show the Quality over Quantity we have over here. Stop whining on the forums and get in there and fight!

Especially BG, you guys were mocking SoR since you got your first “Gold” now we are going to be tied. But we have more Silvers…….Medal wise we will be better (This was your form (BG) of measurement months back, remember) unless you do something about this impending win….
wait BG will just absorb more guilds (what server can they absorb because apparently even 6 guilds can’t help) and then steamroll all the lower tier servers going forward for their false sense of “Champs”.
BTW I had no idea about the rivalry with BG, then I saw how all of these guilds flocked to you and then disappeared, yet you guys kept whining. Out of all the T1 servers you got the most guilds, what have you done with them? Each month I hear more and more whining when the “Grab all the Guilds” plan fails. Build your own guilds from Blackgate, consolidate the Guilds that fell apart and want to stay, into one guild. Just do something instead of crying.

Anyhow good luck in the future (I hope a lower Tier doesn’t wipe you too soon, that would just be an ego boost to them, I do actually want to fight BG in the future, I need to get my second legendary, couldn’t get the first without the loot bags!)

Much respect for JQ, you guys have always proved why you have the most medals and long standing T1 community. So go out fighting and don’t whine about coverage please. You guys used to have a monster force on coverage which was a challenge to face. We understand the fair weather types and perhaps they got spoiled with the hardwork some of your guilds put in for #1. Now your down (but not out) and by whining here your giving the PUGS a reason not to show up, when you need them more than ever at this point to field numbers. May seem like a bit of JQ love, but hell JQ earned my respect:)

SoR keep fighting the fight, we have a huge shadow laid before us in the form of JQ to overcome. Too much ego will make us fall, not enough will make us stagnate. Remember where the server roots came from and where we are at now. No matter the odds we are here to fight!

this isn’t about coverage or winning or losing, it’s about a shoddy game design that doesn’t encourage balanced gameplay. SOR will start bleeding players shortly due to boredom, can you not see a pattern here? – It’s all because ANET allow servers to stack and then dominate WvW. Remember what happened to HOD, SOS, the list goes on.

Though you say we outnumbered you 2 to 1 is even far from the truth.
Since you weren’t the only one counting. You guys had roughly 33 people in that group, couldn’t count them correctly since you had people skirmishing back and forward.

We had two groups of around 18-20 IRON tags, with 1 of the groups having 1 HIRE person with them.

So we roughly had 38 players on the fights with you. Now 5 extra players make a difference, specially in organized fights. But it wasn’t a 2:1.

I enjoyed the fights and you guys did give us a bit of pressure.
But saying you downed quite a lot of us, mabey – mabey not.

From my perspective in the “wallfight” ,were we had 10 players (which were 15+ actually) go to your back and distract you, we had 7 downed players including me, which 2 of them got stomped of (not me).

This is by no means any sort of elitism, just telling what I saw in that certain fight.

Probs for you guys in coming to fight over and over.

Mabey we indeed should get an real even number organized fight going, like offski suggest.

RK was running supply and making sure the standing force at Bay of maybe 20-25 was well-watered, so to speak. IRON would charge when RK was out of sight, then we’d try to time their appearance to catch you in a pincer.

There was some very good back and forth. I’m not afraid to admit that we wiped a couple of times, and I saw RK very bravely take on your full zerg with their paltry 15-man squad. Obviously, they would wipe, but they would give your forces enough pause for the MERC group to catch their breath.

But you also should not conveniently forget that we won some battles while at a disadvantage. One particular push I counted no more than 20 of us on at least 35 of you and it showed in how long it took to down all of you guys. Good trades, good back and forth and really props and kudos all around. BG BL Bay was the place to be last night.

after the bay fights we went into hills with 20 people. the enemy was standing on their walls even though they outnumbered us. They only charged us once they got reinforced and were roughly 60 vs our 20.
