So I was walking around last night into the wee hours of the morning. When I noticed a few random goats just spawning out of no where. Under further investigation I found a portal or two. It seems some goats were portal bombing into camps and even tried to portal bomb a tower. I mean silly goats can’t just face us man to man they have to portal bomb into camps. Good thing we held them off last night.

I think they’ve just been having fun lately. Last night, one of their Mesmers ran up to me and portaled a Golem right on top of me.

Attempting to use the feelings of an opponent against them only works against an opponent that can be defeated and is also not a viable long term strategy regardless. The reason it’s not a viable long term strategy is a thing called reputation.

We are playing a game for fun against opponents who can never be truly defeated in an engagement that is strictly long term.

This happens to all sides. My guild regularly makes BP and AR scatter like roaches. Does it make you feel imposing? Yes. Is it a realistic representation of player skill? No. Is it a good representation of how important morale and surprise is? 100%

Yeah T5 looks like it’s going to be a slaughter house…

But it will be interesting to see what SF/BP looks like… I think even 5 man night crew can probably carry Borlis. SF are weekend warriors and I’m guessing Borlis will win out in the end.

EDIT: I don’t think Ehmry is an obvious winner for T4 yet, Yak’s can pack a punch, and oh how I have been waiting to get punched in the face by them again…

If this is true, and CD is stepping down to take our place, I lament for AR… They already don’t like our occasional nightcapping. When last we met CD had actual legit sea-guilds. We do not.

As for Mr. Dovgan’s commentary, we have improved. Considerably I’d say. Not only with the formation and introduction of the the guild [NITE], but with the increased small guild presence and participation we’ve seen in the last few weeks. I’ve noted we’ve increasingly filled a lot of the Commander presence and tower occupation gaps we used to have. Including with the creation of my own guild [YUMI], which was made strictly to help with said tower boon issues (cause in my mind, there’s absolutely ZERO reason Klovan, which sits right on enemy borders, is unclaimed and boonless… EVER). Though I admit not quite up to the level of production I’d like to see it at just yet, is ready to begin pumping out boons. Also, our reaction time has improved immensely. I thank Kalkz and BP crew for the nightcapping shenanigans, and AR for their tenacious determination.

In short, I don’t think we’ve been more ready than we are right now. All that’s left is to knuckle down and follow through.

I think that those were just an example of what could happen under the new system, although that would be my dream matchup right now for T4.

I wouldn’t fear CD in T5 if I was either BP or AR. CD has reportedly lost a fair number of oceanic players, and their NA presence is not that strong… as in lower than or even with AR normal weekday numbers.

Unfortunately it only goes live for the matches of the 31st, so the 3 of us get to dance one last time before we hopefully go our separate ways. Lets make next week a week to remember!

I’m glad that beating on puggles in EBG gives you so much pleasure. But on the ‘I stopped counting at 10’ story I feel compelled to play the “pics or it didn’t happen” card… even pugs rarely lose that kind of matchup.

Spent the last month in the BLs, maybe all the skilled players have been on break for a month. Went to Eternal yesterday hoping to find anything even remotely amusing, all I found were large groups of bad players, and one decent mesmer. It was nice being able to use the same siege multiple times on the same tower though.

You missed the 3(Ehmry) v 8(Borlis) last night. Was a very, very fun fight; allowed me to test out my new, somewhat complete, guardian build. Safe to say I’m going to finish building it. Was able to keep myself over 7k health the entire time, even when I was focused (Which was most of the fight, seeing I was the only thing there that they could hit reliably). Happened in y’all’s BL.

The danger of fighting in the open, never knowing what will happen, how many ennemies will their be, how many BURN will zerg you and use their elite in a 20 vs 2.

I’m not a fan of fight club, if I want controlled fight I will go in HotM. I can live without having food buff, or 100% critical damage.

The problem with 1 v 1 is daily dodger can’t be achieved with the press of a single button like it can when you hit a zerg. And as far as thieves go, in an even fight, they are hardly overpowered, just really annoying. Mesmers, on the other hand, that’s bordering on having an in game “easy” button in most 1 v 1 situations. Not impossible, but generally a far more challenging fight than a thief.

I actually appreciate the calm and mature replies. Beats listening to the forum parrots replying with the same Neanderthalic rhetoric over and over. (I understand why they do it, but they should really focus on improving in the game to make themselves have good feels.)

I personally fought CoF and they are really good player, but my last fight with them was all credit to there mesmer, he was a pain.

Like Dovgan said, If you are a skilled mesmer, you can obliterate mostly anyone. There potential is so high because they have defence mecanism that resolve around invul/blink/dodging/clones. All those defense mecanism really depend of the skill of the player, will rotation their skills and timing their defence, a GC mesmer can be as tanky as a guardian.

On the other end, class like necromancer have a really straight forward defense mecanism. No vigor, meaning they have acces to 2-3 dodge during a fight. Death Shroud is a static facetanker, even if you are a pro necromancer you won’t have much potential in DS. I feel like Necro are a really hard class to be good at in roaming, because they have really little room for improvement.

I disgress a bit Prolly result of my going back on my necro yesterday, and finding myself in the wrong end of zerg and losing fight I wouldn’t lose with my engineer. I shouldn’t roam with my necro anyway.

By the way, Dovgan explained exactly what I meant by open world pvp. It’s not about number, it’s about the mindset. The danger of WvW roaming.

Woah wait a second read his posts again, he is clearly upset that ebay players never runs around by themselves. EBay players are never “solo” but offered a solo fight against skill opponents you give him an out and say he can go to tpvp if he wants solo or small man fights? One of you is confused.

You are just misunderstanding what he is saying about the solo roaming mindset. Most dislike the constraints of s/tPvP and enjoy the risk/reward roaming in WvW offers. Kardiamond is just stating a point of view from the roaming aspect of the game. Saying that EBay tends to huddle together for warmth and protection isn’t a complaint so much as an observation.

No, that is a complaint. Crying about numbers again… You guys roam around trying to find that single uplevel that you can just dominate to feel better about yourselves. Very sad…

Because yeah, a guys that would leave the safety of zerging, would seek easy fight. It doesn’t make sense at all.

All roamer I know roam for the challenge. Being alone versus a group of upleveled can be as challenging as fighting a 80 exotic GH members.

By the way, your group in ARBL shouldn’t leave your buddy behind. You left for a camp, and you had a guardian being late behind. For once I could jump someone with my necro, I took care of him, and your group never came to his aid.

Felt bad for him, especially since I could see you guys fighting npc right next during our fight.

Really most of us are just looking for a challenge and I would love to see some fresh faces, if you can bring it we would love to have you.

When and where do these fight clubs take place? I’ll be happy to show up. I dont mind fighting theives and mesmers. Im just tired of fighting them. I dont think thieves are overpowered, just overplayed like Nickelback song.

First post was just reflecting what I see on the forums, and I was not disappointed by the standard EBay trolls. I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t get a chest pounding “I r the bestest dumpster dumpster dumpster” reply. The reality is I will happily fight any player anywhere, and most of my guild would too. I appreciate the exactitude of your roaming time percentage. Understand a few of my posts may contain a healthy dose of sarcasm as a direct result of some of the forum trollers. And absolutely, look us up any time, we like a decent fight.

There’s only 5 of us total I think and most times its just 2-3 of us running around. And I remember seeing another [KAOS] out there although I haven’t seen them in a long time. Don’t remember their actually guild name… Knights of something or another I believe.

I’ll keep my eye out for ya. 93.78% is an impressive statistic. Not impressive as my statistic(see below). Time for me to musk up.
