This ranking system is worse than the BCS…

Looking forward to when Henge gets bumped down to Tier 4 next week so we might have more of a fair fight. We’re doing better today than we were, though. We’ll see how that holds through the week.

In EU the two french servers (rank 1 and 3) are holding hands 24/7, they don’t attack each other, is this fair ?

NSP previously had a much higher rating than EB and EB didn’t win by enough in the last match to overtake NSP.

I didn’t follow that match since it was unrelated to my server, but I saw early last week that EB was projected to be the blue server of T5, then the red server, then green of T6, and finally not switching positions at all. Did NSP make a comeback throughout the week?

Yes on NSP we started coming back heavily after the Halloween event and I think went from like 60k to at very least within 20k probably less at reset

The Alliance PA and VS hasn’t lived more of 24h and …. like the night capping it’s not fair or unfair … that’s the game and one of the tactic option that offer the 3W mode.

What is less fair … is the fact that Desolation or Blacktide servers are both usually in t3 or t4 … but since the arrivals of Ruin for deso and lot of different time zones guilds for black… look at the scores board …

Blacktide is going to go in T1 with 3 matches (hope not but) … not because there are good players (some are probably of course and recent transfert of GF and NUG) but only because of free transfert and the time zone free choice.

So there are several things that did this ranking useless but its not the ranking systeme … that’s the absence of rules about this kind of things.

That’s a problem because the game was made for 2 distincts ladders … NA and EU.
With only NA guilds in NA servers and same for EU guilds on EU servers.

NA servers are allready not only for the NA guilds, some SA or AUS guilds are in. Yes that was a problèm at their arrival but NA guilds are covering a lot of time zone (6 at least) and can oppose them … EU guilds only (3 time zone max) can’t oppose to a real 24/7 that the US guilds are bringing.

So A.Net stop lying with NA and EU laders. Your wish is to make only one lader … so do it and 1 month after … stop free transferts … and we could maybe have a real and “fair” beginn of World match up.
Obviously, it’s only if we could seduce some US guilds … easy thing for a FR server of course

Lord Siotrad, if you think Blacktide aren’t good players you’re in for a rude awakening when we get to T1. With any luck we’ll be there after next match up (projections show us only 40 points behind VS for next match).

I don’t say you are not good but i said that before … and many many migrations, some of NA, you was in the 3erd or 4th tier … that’s all … so maybe good player but not enough players like the server population, i don’t know and care, just that we never seen you in T1 or T2 since the realese … that’s all i said.

Could anyone explain what Delta, Deviation, and Volatility mean in these rankings?

Delta: Change in position/points from last week
Not exactly sure what Deviation and Volatility refers to in this case.

I’m thinking that volatility in this case is giving a general idea of how much the rank/rating changes. High volatility means the World’s rank/rating changes frequently.

And we are just saying that the EU ladders was made for an EU guilds (as it mentionned for the ppl on EU servers) championship … the worldwise was the NA one …
They let come On EU servers some NA, SA big Guilds and that’s why we’re not agree. that’s all.

Now, if A.net would the NA and EU ladders was worldwise … Why 2 ladders … only one would be more worldwise, wasn’t it ???

ANet. Sorry but Ratings are not that accurate when there is such a flux of people moving around servers. What are you guys considering to fix this?

Hey someone can explain to me how this works with the places? i thought its for which place you end first,second,third when server changes but i heard that its something with the points. Soemone can explain to me good pls

This is sad.
Last week we on Seafarer’s had some epic battles with Kodash. In the end it was with less than a 30k lead we won. Kodash came second and Augury Rock did not measure up. I was looking forward to fight Kodash again, but this time have Far Shiverpeaks or something into the mix.
Instead, we get stuck with the looser of T2 and the winner of T3. To be perfectly honest, we don’t belong there.

My question is: With this rankingsystem, will consistensy and even games be something exclusively for T1 or will the it keep matchin servers over a 3-4 tier span?
