Because Dragonbrand bought one.
Explain… With more than 15 characters…
Well its very simple, doesnt take a brain to figgure that one out.
Yaks bend bended over to dragonbrand and do theyr bidding.
It went from “truce” to blatantly manipulating the outcome of the current wvw against SoS.
Honestly i am curious how anet is going to deal with a server that broke the code of conduct on a mass scale.
And about denying it or calling it a lie isnt going to work.
We were faceing mixed forces on sos bl for a bit now and yesterday dragonbrand had the stonemist second floor full with yb’s that were avoiding conflict with them.
Thus there is your more than 15 characters explanation.

You must be fairly new to WvW if you think just cause one server doesn’t attack another that means they’re working together
Not that it matters if we are working together.
If what you say is true, why don’t you call out the other server?
Honestly i am curious how anet is going to deal with a server that broke the code of conduct on a mass scale.
Even if DB and Yak’s chose not to attack one another, which I seriously doubt, how is it a breach of the code of conduct? I have ran past opposing players and not attacked them, should I be dealt with? Whining is not a desirable characteristic…
SoS is losing must be treachery
Not that I’m confident I’d know every WvW decision that gets made on the server I’m on, in fact far from it.
But I can tell you if there was some sort of server-wide truce, I would have heard of it. So would the other large WvW guilds on DB that I’ve accompanied on raids in Yak’s BL against Yak’s Territories.
Conspiracy Theories never cease to amaze though.

When you post things that are not true, it makes you look like you have no idea what you are talking about.
YB did what SoS should have done, which is force through and up stairs, a very common strat in WAR. DB messed up, imo, in that they largely ignored them up there, which let them port up more and more people until we eventually lost to them pushing down. There was a key point in the fight where we had the YB top group all on the ropes, a bunch dead and the rest low in health, but only a few folks would charge, to many plinkers content with shooting from range, and they rallied and eventually took the keep.
Good play on their part, bad choice for DB though obviously they were trying to defend on two fronts, and bad play on SoS part. Either way it was a pitched three way battle, which goes against your claims.
It is nice to see new people still coming into WvW.
There is no truce or alliance between YB and DB. But speaking purely for myself, I do favor giving openings and advantages to YB. The longer YB stays active in this match-up, and the narrower the point gap is between SoS and YB, the more those two servers will focus on each other, thus bogging down their fighters. And by extension giving DB forces more room to manuever.
As to the code of conduct, you’re referring to article 22?
22. While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.
Due to the extremely loose wording(any lawyer could pick it apart without even trying) anything can be defined as “match manipulation”, just playing WvW normally manipulates the rating. So are we going to start banning anyone who kills a dolyak? Obviously not.
So in the absence of a concrete and practical definition of “match manipulation” we have to rely on the precedent set by ANet in handling this matter. And that precedent is that the only sort of manipulation that is bannable is directly hacking the scores in WvW.
Dear YB commander:
You don’t any sea people, because you have enough population. We win the last match, because we play strategy not population. You look like never think any next step.
There’s a reason each match involves three servers. The ability of two servers to gang up on a third is intended and expected. It should actually happen much more often.

Even more against the updog (a.k.a green team).
If there is a truce I demand Yaks stop taking our Bay like they did a few hours ago. Leave us alone or you will ruin it!!!!
I’m looking forward to your donation of 100G to me and every other player on Yak’s Bend to outbid DB. I’m in awe of your powers of deduction and reasoning.
wts bridge to yaks bend, 50g
Seems every week yaks alliances with some server….
Remember back in the day the super secret, ultra awesome, best buddies alliance with TC?
Those were the days…
omg they found out. Scatter!

I think i know pretty much what it means when i have mixed teams of db and yb on sos borderland running around takeing supply camps and leaveing the db members cap it.
If you think i am just a random lunatic just pop over SoS lions arch and ask around.
I am sure you will find someone that will throw a screenshot back at you with a mixed group teabaging theyr corpse.
Or be even more simple and ask in map if YB is working together with DB and see the responce.
Also i find it hard to believe that YB pushed to 2nd floor with all the balistas on lord room, reached the 2nd floor and it got ignored in a place were there is always someone going up for the platform cannons.
And there is the issue that the siege on the lords room was intact and manned when we got there.
And then there is the yb ads not touching db,but going straight for SoS outside on the rings alongside db.
You are telling me to ignore all that, and justify it as strategy?
And that the constant tag teaming is not manipulation of outcome?

I would gladly buy your services for 100g but i am afraid i cant mail them to you because the anti bot system hates large mail transactions.
Also i am in awe as well of your unoriginal sarcasm and your copypasted humor.

I keep trying to think of snappy ways to reply to this.
But it’s so laughably wrong that I feel like I’ll be getting trolled if I actually engage myself in it.
I am truly sorry that SoS couldn’t handle all the pressure of being in tier 1 and had to fall apart, but you’re just reaching for an excuse here.
Remember that one time when SoS claimed to be the most successful post-mass-exile server?
Wait so a “sea of sorrows” is basically a huge pool of tears right? Hmm.
There is no truce. I was at that fight to take SM. Along with that group upstairs we had at least one more group on the ground floor on the other end. That hallway became a hallway of death with DB AoE and our AoE. We were basically a distraction while the upstairs group held and set up. We than pushed from 2 directions.

I am telling you that your perceiving a larger battle from one tiny angle and choosing to believe that it is all encompassing. Of course the siege was intact in the lords room when SoS pushed in, you broke into the inner before YB did. The YB that went upstairs used the rear entrance and ran straight in, while focus was on SoS and YB in the third entrance.
Not going to bother going into more details because you are likely not open to any form of description that does not prove your narrow view of events.
this is laughable so SoS casually comes take on the left side of Yak’s map while DB attacked Hills and the rest of the right side but when the same happens to them SoS breaks to tears LOL.
Pretty much everyone in this thread got trolled so hard.
Gotta hand it to the OP.

that is highly doubtful when you come in zergs of 50+ to fight 15 defenders now on our case it only takes 12 of ours to smash open gates and cap towers under 2 minutes all you guys got over YB is simply the night capping players.
i did notice you guys also lack skills and rely on logging off and changing classes when defeated.

How in hell would you know someone from another server switched characters. Are you actually serious in this statement or just a bit loony?

its simple the whole enemy Guild vanishes and then the whole guild comes out in new class Example: fighting a huge crowd of mesmers however when they see mesmer aint working they retreat then all of a sudden same guild comes back except now theres a ton of rangers.
you can also tell when you got a friend inside enemy guild.
As long as we get some decent fights I do not care who is fighting who.
Keep bringing it YB! Keep bringing it DB!
See you on the battlefield!
you can also tell when you got a friend inside enemy guild.
Are you saying you have a friend/spy on the enemy server? :O
Thats OP man!!

not necesarily i have countless friends from random servers tanks to gw2lfg ,however i dont tolerate exploiters/cheaters even on my own server.
Im confused. If I wake up tomorrow and the whole map is green, wouldnt then yaks and DB be double teaming SoS since that is all they could do….?
OMG there IS an ALLIANCE!
OMG there IS an ALLIANCE!
KILL IT!!! FOR THE HORDE!!!
OMG there IS an ALLIANCE!

Lok tar friend! What is it you wish?
Did DB closing a 50k gap on SoS last week burn that much? I’m sure it did. Every excuse under the sun is starting to surface – nightcapping, double-teaming . . .
The “Most successful post-exodus server” comment by an SoS really did twist some nipples, even more reason for Dragonbrand to stomp. you. out.
I see people are continuing to troll themselves into a seething froth.
i see sos is still not winning
i see sos is still not winning
It’s all those kitten 50+ YB/DB combo zergs man. Follow the trail of tears to the SoS spawn point. Or at least that’s what they would have you believe.

I’d believe it, SoS tears are a Schedule I drug
You’re the lowest on the food chain and they’re eating you up for easy PPT… nothing more, nothing less. There’s a massive difference between fighting in T5 and fighting a T3 server that had a bad week and one that bounces between T4/T3. Also, YB did the right thing by getting to 2nd floor stonemist. You guys fighting in the lords room was not a good move. You should have waited until DB cleared the second floor before making your move. You can’t make yourselves the bigger immediate threat then call them out for smashing you to bits.
You must be new here.
Trying to decide whether or not to crawl under my desk laughing…. I think I’m stuck at total confusion. Let me illustrate the points which are irrelevant.
So…. What were you talking about?

- EB is not involved… Perhaps your sig is wrong?
- There are no T5 servers in that matchup
- The servers in that matchup are Yaks a 3/4 server, SoS a server in decline (maybe a true T3?), and DB the most solid T3 server we have.
So…. What were you talking about?
That embarrasing moment when you mistake SoS for SBI :P Acronyms can be hell in a game with so many. I’ll retreat for now with what little dignity I have left haha. Go ahead and laugh under your desk. I’m going to crawl under mine.

Still kind of confused why you talked about a Lords Room stand when EB isn’t in with Mags, SBI, and CD…. But… Mistakes is mistakes. Don’t hide under there for long.
I think I’m stuck at total confusion.
When’s the last time a ranger stuck someone with a full stack of confusion? Great success, I say.

Ah, it’s a general observation for a situation that comes up a lot. We may not be a T3 server, but we can get eternal queued up the same as any other. Three-way standoffs in the lord’s room happen all the time. The invaders that can get past the lord’s room and secure the second floor are almost always in a great position while the server defending has to focus on stomping the other server that is still flowing in through the breached walls.
And there’s always someone on one of the servers that QQs about being double teamed, albiet us or them.
You can’t afford it.
If YB and DB joined forces and actively 2v1ed SoS, you’d know about it.
You’s also own nothing. =D
