Like the title says.

We get options to report inappropriate character names, but not hackers.

Priorities?

It is truly rediculous that when we do encounter someone using a hack/exploit in WvW, the report function denies us from actually reporting them.

There should at least be report options for “geometry exploit”

we really understand your frustration with the missing option to report hackers/exploiters ingame and it will be forwarded to the team. But be assured that we really do appreciate reports of those users, in order to do that head over to https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ and open a ticket. Providing us with screenshots and/or videos may speed up the process or help us to validate those cases as well. Also if you have a detailed instruction what enables those exploits, or how any kind of exploits are done, feel free to send those instructions to exploits@arena.net.

I think the problem with reporting to an email-address or providing screenshots is that you dont see their account name on them. How shall AreaNet find the player using the hack on a screenshot?
The only way is to have an option to report a player with a new category like “possible exploit” or something like that. That way AreaNet knows the account name and knows the exact time/date and can verify if the accusation is true and if so take actions.

There are many things broken about this game and this is one. For instance, you do not see a players name in WvW, but you have the option to report said player for a name violation.

Before you haul off and say that this could be interpreted as reporting a “Guild Name”, I would caution you to realize that even when the ANET fairy follows through and bans the person it is just that singular person.

Also, regarding naming issues, it seems to be for all intents and purposes automated. In fact I truly believe that ANET never looks at these until you contest them, at which point you obviously have been already banned….I have seen/heard of more people getting banned for naming issues than anything else (language/hacking/etc). And in most cases once ANET finally does decide to get around to reviewing it (AKA doing their job), it gets overturned.

Reporting in game is useless, as i did report a speedhacker for almost 2 weeks, 10-20 times per day few month ago and fought him day after day.
Few days ago i did a report a zoom hack user with 2 videos, a screen, the extact time of when it happened, the exact time when i also did a report in game and something has been done by anet this time (confirmation from Jade sea community), but i still got a reply from anet support to ask me to report in game if possible

Which is exactly the reason why I never bother with all the screens/emails/etc.

I truly believe that they just tell us this to send us on a wild goose chase, beyond that it is not my job to provide surveillance. I do not mind reporting legitimate issues, but even if it is remotely questionable I let it slide, but I am not going to waste my time frapping/uploading/emailing all for nothing.

I have been through their process before, all they did was apologize for my inconvenience, ignore all my questions about how their system works, and give me no information on who caused the issue, how it was caused, or what accountability there was in place to rectify the situation.

ANET made a great game, but it boggles the mind why little things like this slip by them day-after-day.

Perhaps you could forward our frustration for not having any other options through the UI while in WvW? Being able to remove offline party members, invite a person to a group, send tells or mail someone. Basically all the party options we have in a PvE zone that are not available while in a WvW zone.

This is extremely annoying to reform a group 10 times a night because someone logged out and forgot to leave the party first.
