For anyone interested, there’s a Dueling group called A R E N A that a lot of people on Tier 3 use to organize duels, it would be nice for us to get players from all Tiers on it.

That was really good. I’m sure you’re going to have a lot of people write off the video because of your build, but you played pretty much flawlessly, both in terms of mechanics and mindgaming your opponents. I love fighting warriors with my ele. On paper it’s an easy fight, but in reality, as you showed, a minor mistake can get you 100-0ed. Good warriors give me some of the most intense, closest fights. If I ever end up on tier3, I’ll look for you. :p

Thanks I wouldn’t consider myself glass cannon, I use Knights gear with 2800 armour and 24k HP, endure pain + shield stance. I think it’s a middle between power/defense

Yes I was really regretting my decision to jump down when I saw my HP tank

We have to rotate places randomly. Believe it or not, there are such no-lifers that would form a full zerg to run and break up the duels if they knew where they were. This is why most dueling is kept to whispers and party invites rather than broadcast in general chat.

o i c – you are on one of the servers that has full pops across all 4 maps 24/7. What’s that server’s name again?

Sure it can be done in sPvP as well but there are some minor differences in stats and skill effects in sPvP. And frankly it’s just easier to organize and more fun to do it in WvW with more space for spectators.

People go to Jump Puzzles because it indirectly benefits WvW with the seige blueprints. Well Dueling also indirectly benefits WvW in that players learn their own toons better. They can better understand CC’ing, dodging, self-combo’ing, etc since they see the direct results against their single oponent, rather than just throwing AOEs in a massive zerg and not seeing who you’re hitting and how it effects them.

I’d say a group of 10 experienced Duelers could kill a zerg of 20 “WvWers”, even better would be a group of SPvPers against WvWers, as you probably seen in that 4v30 video by Team Paradigm

LoL…. duelers go to BLs which have NO queue, we aren’t taking anything from anyone.

You think too highly of sPvP players. Every time I have done sPvP, I get accusations of hacking because I stomp them easily. I face better fights in WvW, than I ever did in sPvP, the ruleset that HAS to nerf everything so they can deal with easier stuff.

Killing PuGs with a premade group is easy too. Now if you want to post a video of a group on group fight between two premades who’re good, I’ll watch it.

How can you run over something you don’t know the location of? :-P It’s not like we hold these on the usual zerg routes.

Duels in the open world are much more fun than spvp imo, you can spectate and you fight with your own gear and hard-earned skins, not some generic armor set given to you. We want to duel our friends in the open world and its a shame that Arenanet doesnt get it… renting a private server is NOT the solution
