Assuming by now the wiki info about the wvw ranks are final, does that means a cap on rank 150 and your progression is over?

Hmmz, you do know that you get only to lvl 80 on your char, and that’s it? And what do you do afterwards? You keep levelling and earning skillpoints..
It’s shocking that you deduce from the wiki that rank 150 is the max, and if it is, so what? Don’t think that everybody will attain that rank.. And what if you can keep earning WxP ability points afterwards (like the skillpoints on your normal levelling)?

Go get your Ultimate Sentinel title and then you can talk about lack of things to attain…

Since getting supply to 20 does take 300points (=levels) you can be assured that there’s progression beyond r150…

At what rank do you get the “Evil Overlord” title?

Can you say “Incentive”?

There needs to be a “Lord Vanquish” title.

Hell, I saw a General earlier today (rank 90-99) and it hasn’t even been 3 weeks.

We have a general in [PiNK]. Of course she’s a ranger ;P

Yeah, we have someone that is probably past General now. I don’t play enough to be even remotely close to that :p

I know a guardian who had been almost 90 a week ago. But he nolifes wvw.

Also lifetime ranks leaves open options for future rewards that could be added on higher ranks such as r170 +4 all stats, r180 +4 all stats, just an example.

And a bad example at that because it would give a stat advantage for the amount of time played (or rather zerg-surfed for those rank grinders out there).
Why would folks that have more time than me to spend on games due to still living in their parents’ basement or being unemployed by choice “deserve” a stat advantage over me, even though I also spend almost every minute of my spare time in game but have a full time job with regular over hours so am more restricted on the amount of hours to play per day?

Don’t think anyone would waste hours on a game. There has to be a sense of fun or achievement for someone to play, if you choose to spend hours playing a game, then that is by all means your own choice.

I spend 1,5h travelling to my University and back on weekdays, doing absolutely nothing productive. I would consider that a waste of time.

My sense of achievement was lost when I figured out that despite having spent 2k hours in WvW, leading, fighting, dancing previously, to all of my enemies I look worse than that PvE nob thief dual wielding incinerator on ‘Eskimo’ 130 rank, having started at the same level as me and wxp-trained his way through, no job, no sense of fatigue and hyped up constantly on coffee. Slight exaggeration, but way to reward your average faithful veteran WvW player, ANet! ;)

Why does it matter? All game systems have issues in that progression largely meant time spent, but in most cases they still rewarded the actual play. In GW2 the progression system is an inflated version of time spent, but now there is no reward to actual play, what is rewarded is spamming #1 in a giant zerg ball.

Higher ranks to me is the same as an up level sign.

I just want the option to be able to show myself as any rank of my choice up to the rank I have. I’d rather be an Assaulter than a Squire.

Yeah, you can buff players, heal or rez people, debuff enemies, run yaks, build siege and stand gaurd all you want, the only thing that gets you WXP is killing stuff or repairing when under siege.

It is a weird choice from ANet to reward only that one aspect of WvW.

The result is that people who never rez, siege or stand guard get rewarded with the highest ranks

Cant wait to see the title you get once you hit rank 9001.

I have noticed that as well. The Rank system does not benefit roamers/gank squads/Yak assassins as much as a 80 on 80 on 80 zerg fight.

I think OP is playing the wrong game. I think http://progressquest.com/ is more his thing.

There are over 9000 ranks!

15titles to notice to start off with, with possibly more, if not oh well it will take 595levels at the moment to max everything out so i am not going to worry on it.

I am looking forward to the rank gap growing between skirmish players and zerg players. That will be entertaining.
