active wvw server.
Any Top 4 tiers suit your needs, NA of course.
From the comment regarding English-speaking, I guess you mean in the EU region?
Sea of Sorrows have people very active in all timezones and ive only seen people speaking english.
I am an EU player myself but over here in the states is way more fun

If you are from EU I would strongly urge you not to go to NA.
Instead find an international server in T2/3/4 of EU
The best thing you can do however is join a guild. Guaranteed action and fun.

Where can i find out what servers those are. And are they always active? since i’m from sweden and there is like an 8hour time difference. Also is there any lag problems playing at na from eu?
Lots of questions but if you never ask you’ll never know!
You will not have any major difference in reponse with NA compared to EU from Sweden, as long as you have a good ISP.
http://mos.millenium.org/matchups this is the site where you can check the Tiers and scores.
T1 is a bit kittened up nowadays. Don’t go there. Avoid it like it is the plague, it is the worst you could ever be.
So your possibilites would be:
SFR: Great server that had great guilds and many really good gamers. Too bad most of those left. I don’t know how the server is now but I would not move there. Too dangerous and it might even go back to T1. (T1= bad)
Piken Square: The new guild server. Very good guilds, nice organization and very strong. They are also in a very fun matchup (= very little arrowcarts, hooray). I don’t know how much fun you’ll having being guildless though. Don’t know enough about the server to comment on that
I don’t know a lot about Aurora, Gandare or FSP but those might also be worth looking into. I would not go any lower in the tiers.
There is no lag if you go to NA (A very select and unlucky few have the tiniest bit of lag, nothing gamebreaking). NA however is quite boring. More siege, different meta and less coverage in EU timeslots.

a 120man EU guild moved over to NA server to PvDoor hardcore and now every server in the top 2 tiers has to try to match that if they want to even have a chance of competing. It is much like a 100man NA guild moving over to EU servers.
Beast mode
Jade Quarry is looking for more people with a passion for WvW and a desire to be part of the larger community. We have many excellent guilds and commanders and would definitely be able to find you a place among one of them if you wished, or you could be part of our great pug militia raising havoc across the maps.

I’m pretty sure I know what guild you are talking about. They really are awesome guys, I kind of miss them.
The best thing you can do right now is not recruit any EU, that way they’ll get bored and come back here, where they belong.
A 100 man NA guild on EU has a way bigger effect on scores than a 150 man EU guild on NA. A 50 man NA guild that fields 15 to 20 players during NA primetime can make a HUGE difference.

Thanks for all the reaponses. But i have another question.. What does the tier rankings mean? The higher the better or?
“Tier 1” is considered the top tier. It’s the highest rung on the WvW ladder we’re all climbing. As a result there’s a certain zeal in T1 you may not find in other tiers. The fights tend to be larger. The chest we thump are larger and make a bigger sound. When you see a full on zerg of 100 or so of the enemy flowing across the field like a river of red the little T1 freak in us smiles and thinks “I got this.”
It’s insanely fun.
My impression:
T1 – all three severs have active EU timeslots. Prior to recent transfers, I would have ranked them BG, JQ, SoR. That’s likely changed since [IRON] transferred. Can’t go wrong with any of them.
T2 – TC has a lot of EU players. My sense is that DB and FA have fewer EU players but both benefit from spill-over (DB’s SEA group is often around during EU time, and FA has a really strong US EST group). Still, generally lots of action during EU time.
T3-T4 — I don’t believe any servers in these tiers have a lot of EU players, although I’m sure they field decent numbers during EU time from NA/SEA players.
Good luck with your choice. I can tell you EU players are welcomed with open arms on NA servers (and not just b/c of their great accents).

Hey now. When I hear a Scottish lass in TS I wouldn’t follow her to the gates of Hell, I clear the path and hold the door open for her.

I may run like hell. Especially if you’re wearing a kilt and the rumors are true.

You should add NA to that. This does not apply AT ALL to Tier 1 EU.
T1 EU is hell. It is an arrowcart filled hell. (and that was BEFORE the patch)
