So, I have the tier 3 long bow, greatsword, shield, and most recently sword. The first three are AMAZING. They have nice lightning effects, purple hues around them, and when you move around with them, they leave these purple circles that look like tiny asura gates.

However, today I dropped 60k karma on the sword, and was VERY dissapointed, it has NO EFFECTS at all. It has the same boxy design of the tier 3 weapons, but it DOESN’t even have a glow, let a lone lightning effects like the greatsword and shield. I have a picture of each weapon below, and for contrast, my old armor with a TIER 1 asura cultural sword, which even has a glow. Can this please be fixed?

Also, PLEASE fix their walking animation. They walk like a freaking duck.

Yah, I’m pretty sure the Asura T3 sword is bugged. I’ve reported it as such – every Asura T3 weapon except the spear (Which also seems to be bugged) and sword has purple lightning across it’s leading edge in place of a blade and a purple hazy glow on it’s gems

But I’ve reported several visual bugs with Asura since BWE3 (Such as the dwayna gloves being stretched beyond ridiculousness) and it’s never been addressed. I’m willing to bet it’ll be many many months if not years before it gets fixed.

Yea, asura got the short end of the stick. I don’t think they were completely done but Anet still released the game. Evidence: unifinished cultural weapons (tier 3 sword and spear) (tier 2 cultural is literally just the verdant plant weapons). And the animations (walking looks like a puppy duck, very awkward) and TONS OF CLIPPING with EVERYTHING

Oh btw, if anyone has this sword, could you please report it in game, so we can get it fixed asap.

Wow. I am -so- glad I decided to do a little research. I was literally about to post a topic asking if someone could post a picture of the T3 Asura Sword with effects. Was gonna grab it, if it had the same glowy effects. Guess I’ll have to wait until they fix it. Cause I’m a fan of ‘energy/glowy’ weapons.

Now if only the Crucible of Eternity Inquest Sword were longer, I’d save for that instead. As that stands, that sword is -too- short.

yea before the t3 weapons, i had the mystic ones which are blue versions of the inquest weapons. they were good, but just look bad on asura because they’re sooo small. Like you, I’m a fan of energy glowy weapons with a focus on lightning/electricity.

I’m afraid to get the t3 cultural harpoon and harpoon gun because I fear they might be bugged too. Anyone have those?

Anyone have a picture of the Staff or Dagger ? Do they have effects? My ele wasn’t interested in the weapons but if they have nice effects….

Sweet, they finally fixed the sword, looks nice now. Maybe I won’t ditch the warrior afterall

Personally, if you and I had short stubby legs and broad, wide lower torsos, I’m sure we’d walk that way. I like it.

They also fixed the spear too, so I can look super-fly kicking kitten underwater

Picture order – Staff, Mace, Greatsword, Hammer, Scepter & Shield. I’ll have the focus in 40k Karma (sorry i don’t have the dagger). Also picutured – Tier 2 cultural heavy armor.

I plan on getting every unique Asura cultural item (Teir 1/2/3 armor and all Tier 3 weapons).

Thanks a lot! But the t2 cultural weapons are just the verdant weapons. They’re not unique. And the t1 are ‘glyphic’ skin which you can get at lvl 1-15 zones or buy from tp for a few copper.

I know that, that’s why i listed only tier 3 weapons in brackets (saying that, i do plan on getting the tier 1’s cheap off the TP).

So, seeing as the sword is fixed, can you post a shot of it?.

Here’s the sword, doesn’t have an effect when sheathed like the rest of the t3 weapons though.
