Hi, I have a Charr necromancer as main and I havent found a single armor that looks good comparable with how they look on Humans, Sylvaris and Norn. They all look stretched out. So now I need your help in finding a set that satisfies me. Preferably some mix and match!

I’ve never fully leveled it and looked at all types, but I’ve got a necromancer with just the 1st tier cultural that looks decent. I see a lot of NPCs wearing that stuff too, but they’ve always got some plain pants from some other set, maybe just a crafted thing.

Feet is quite hard to see. Allthough i prefer t1 leggings over t2.

Trueye leggings—these are karma armor you get from doing hearts in Fireheart Rise
Feathered shirt—through crafting, but I just bought mine on the trading post
Sandals—Also crafting, also bought on the trading post
Any Gloves Will Do

Also, I’ve noticed that light armor looks better on thinner charr. This isn’t such an issue for females—my lady has an average build, but even the hefty ones look quite good in light. It’s really hard to find light armor that looks good for hefty males though—they have a barrel shape that robes don’t do any favors for.

Charr have a problem with all armors to be honest. Most likely the reason we see so few Charr in the first place. If we can’t get good looking armor on a Charr then don’t expect to see much Charr out there… Anet…

Right now I have no clue what medium armor to get my Charr. The problem with medium armor is that it looks bad on all races, then combine that with the Charr it just becomes impossible. I went to the PvP locker and liked the Stalwarts armor on him without that disgusting hat but apparently it’s PvP armor only… :/

I thought my charr female looks pretty good in the leather mixed set she is currently wearing. Doric Mask, Trooper’s shoulders, Commando’s Jacket, Penetrating gloves, Commando’s pants, and Rampager’s pirate boots.

I personally like the HoM light armor chest/leggings. I use a different helm thought (not sure where I got it from, this guy is only 36 so i just use stuff as a i find it but I like the looks personally.

I’m pretty happy with my elementalist’s current look. He’s level 43 or so, hoping to add T3 headgear and CoF gloves soon. The Named, Whispers, and Vigil sets all have pretty decent looking pieces for charr light imo.

I like the Arah shoulders from a front view. But from the back i just cant stand them. All those clipping issues.

I haven’t noticed any clipping so far. I do wish it was possible to make the back piece more than one colour though because it takes up so much space.

I find the Whispers headpiece is one of the nicer ones on Charr, might just be me though.

o.O how did you get the necro’s mask on you ele? To bad I cant get the gloves, those are from the HOM. Really like your charr.

you just transmute them, if theyre soulbound transmute them first to a headpiece without souldbound (white) then transmute to toon of your choice

I’m using transmuted Shadow Armor on my mesmer, looks fine to me but then again I don’t care much about what my characters look like.

LOL, that headpiece. I won’t use the Whispers light armor on my Sylvari because the headpiece is the best part and I don’t want my Sylvari to lose his mushroom head (hair), so I was kind of toying with the idea of making my new Charr Necro a Whispers character so I could use it on him, but… yah. Wow. Biggest headpiece ever.

I just found a great-looking light top for Albane. Works a lot better then what she was wearing before.

I have 3 Sets, for my Necromancer. I like the look of Khilbrons for when im doing Condition/fear, my Pow/Tough/Vit set is transmuted T3 Cultural, and my Berserkers set is the Profane Armor from the item mall.

If I may ask, what are the dyes that you are using for the top picture and what shoulder/headpiece is that? I like that combination a lot

My current setup: A simple charcoal/lifesblood dye mix on CoF armor

plain and simple tribal looking.

I want tribal set for my necro but they are nowhere to be found in PvE

the dye is midnight fire, headpice is the necro starter demon masque which i transmuted onto my ele, and the sholders are Conjurers

It’s in Orr from the Karma vendors… look through the vendors in Malchor’s Leap. It’s called Tactician.

I notice a lot of necro’s favor that dry bones armor. Personally I think the CoF is a great looking light armor set on a charr. But nowadays everybody has CoF sets.

That’s precisely how I feel. Though to be fair, Tap Skis set looks pretty nice for an Ele look.

@xXRichiXx, what dyes do you use? Really inspired by your Mesmer look.

This is my Charr Mesmer, uses Exalted Armor set with only headpiece being Conjurer, dyes used: Celestial, White Gold, Midnight Fire.

Hey ehragus, what armor and dyes did you use on your updated look? Looks really cool.

I don’t know how you go past the tier three cultural armour. It was shown when the necro was revealed and it’s by far one of the coolest looks in the game .

As a d/d elementalist, I prefer the armour to provide a lot of mobility, none of the robe/dress thing that might get stuck in the claws or something, so I went with this setup. He also has a scarf around his neck, though you won’t be able to see it from this angle.

CoF armor + whatever non-CoF shoulders you like + tier 1 or tier 2 cultural helm look good. You’d probably have to ditch the CoF gloves if you play a necromancer rather than an elementalist though, and it makes no sense at all for a mesmer. I guess you could also just go with the full CoF set but then everyone will look down on you.
