My only issue with the change is that the colors don’t seem to blend as well as they used to before anything was done. The texture is back, but it seems like one dye slot dyes the whole armor (Light T3 Chest). The colors also seem darker than before, but at least I can pick lighter hues. I hope they are not done with these changes yet…

Like many people have said, if they wanted to add the glow effect, they could have just added a dye slot for the glow. But oh well, it is still great to see Anet listen their players. I just hope it goes better next time.

but we can see that we had the possibility to dye our armor as we like, without looking to our Skin Color
now the armor do not glow and in a red/White armor is a blue Point that doesnt fit

After messing around with some dyes again (mostly just switched to Grape Leaf as opposed to Grass or Olive) and it seems less dark then it did initially (still darker then the very beginning). And at night its quite pretty. I am quite content with the change to be honest. The glow is about as close I think I can get to my natural glow without changing my armors dye scheme entirely, which I am fine with.

Dunno why its so hazy at night in Orr but it seems to be, and glow oddly shows up quite less in screens (but my dye is kind of dark so its not super lucid). The Light does glow, even if it looks faint in the screenshots. :x Just a little on the legs on the right and chest a little on the seams.

I used “Black Cherry” but I don´t like the color anymore because it´s too dark now.
Well I don´t like my complete T3 anymore right now -.-

I’d really like an official Statement somwhen soon. I want to know if I HAVE to re-design my main if I want his nightmare Robes to glow, or not.
Fortunately I got a total makeover kit from the 10k Points chest, but still… I wouldn’t like that, and would definitely undo the changes as soon as the glow on my armor is back but… I just can’t stand it the way it is right now!

I liked the previous change. Oh well, I won’t use cultural like I didn’t before. Was nicely designed past few weeks now it’s crap like it always was. Way to be ungrateful to Anet after all their hard work fixing our ugly coloration options all!

I must say, I liked the way my armor dyed up a lot more before this last change. The colors are too dark imo.

On the T1 chest, there is a part of the armor that can’t be dyed. Before the last change, this part of the armor had almost the same color as the skin of my Sylvari. After the change, it is darker and does not really fit with the rest of her colors.

Arenanet, the most reasonable thing to do here is to seperate the glow effect from the rest of the armor. Meaning: add an extra color field for the glow to the interface. I realize that could be a bit more of an effort, but constantly fiddling around this problem eats up the same amount of time, or even more, than delivering a profound solution. The latter however would please almost all players at a single stroke.

Are you working on it or do we Need to deal with this Change?
Ascended armor is coming and sylvari Need to know if they transmute their cultural for it or search for another Skin!

T3 medium looks like my girl is growing tentacles out of her chest WHY mix skin colour?

I agree, it would be nice to know if this is the final change. It would be disappointing, especially since armors that already glowed, and that thus no one had complained about, have now been affected. But I would rather know before I go spending money on dyes or skins. Even if the devs can’t tell us exactly what they plan to change in the future, I feel we have a right to know whether or not our armor is now considered “finished.”

My last hope is that they dont wanted to answer us because we will see the answer tomorrow
Would be nice to read tomorrow some sentences from Kirsten Perry or another designer regarding our armor in the patch notes.

Could not agree more. I want the old update back where the Sylvari colors were stunning. The glow on T3 medium was incredible.

Wish we could have a choice of the two versions instead of being controlled by a select few who hated it.
