I can’t believe i just got banned for 3 days because of my name without any kind of warning or system preventing me from using such a name in the first place like seriously that’s dumb…the names isummondeadbabies idc how bad a name is for a first time offence a 3 day ban is ridiculous

The Guild Wars 2 Naming Policy says that you cannot use that name. Ignorance is not bliss. The 3 day ban is to teach you not to ignore the rules that you agreed to upon purchasing and playing Guild Wars 2.

And I suppose you got your driver’s license in real life by not reading the rules? And yeah I did read the rules. I know Anet’s reputation of strict policies. If you don’t learn the rules one way, you gotta learn them the hard way.

no because something like that actually matters unlike this which is a video game and is men’t for pleasure and fun seriously games mostly stop you from using a bad name before your even able to make a character and others ask you to change your name before logging back in if its bad never have i been banned let alone for this long for something so stupid

Even so but not to the extent to put them on 71hours suspension. I can understand if the player did it three times not listening to the warnings Anet gives them. If anything this is a forceful rule that may make customers leave the game.

You have to give people a chance even though some don’t understand the consequences when you give a bad name to your character. Everyone is bound to make a mistake even if it was intended or not. They shouldn’t be put on a suspension without any warnings.

Yes rules are their to be read, but some people might not understand it to the full extent like for an example I could name myself Gokueatschichilol. Someone may report me because they took it in a offense way, but should I be put on 71hours suspension for it? I think not.

Considering how a player becomes attached to their character, having a forceful character name change and a 3 day ban does leave a very foul taste. It can be avoided by reading the naming policy and abiding by it as best as you can.

Putting a 3day suspension on issues like this isn’t the best way. Yes it is a disgusting name to look at, but it isn’t that much of a big deal. The best solution for this case is an automatic name change. If he doesn’t listen 3 times then he deserves the 3day suspension.

I agree if i would of gotten some sort of warning or shorter suspension i wouldn’t be as upset seeing how i just got the game two days ago and now i can’t play it :/
