I have been suspended for “defrauding someone of in-game items, currency, or services”. I have not had one single interaction with ANY player involving in-game items currency or services. I have simply been leveling on my own, been in a party ONCE with a RL friend and we didn’t even play together, just used party chat. On top of this I was banned after not playing for 48 hours and then logged in to find out I was suspended with 61 hour still left. This makes no sense and I have been waiting 48 hours for at least an explanation of what I did to warrant a 72 hour suspension. My character name is Chronic Abuse, I would VERY MUCH appreciate reasoning as to why I am suspended so I can at least try to wrap my head around this situation. Whether that is publicly in this post or privately to my email I don’t care.

Been allot of account compromises with the launch of this game.
Could it be that someone accessed your account to use it for gold selling advertisements?

I understand your frustration, but if you have used the same email/password combinations here as you have in other games its most likely thats what happened.

Someone got your email and password from some other game and used it here to get access to your account, and then used your account to advertise for gold selling sites

I appreciate your reply but this does not apply to me. I use an email account and password SPECIFICALLY for this game.

Yeah that certainly changes things.
Since you didnt specify that in your OP I figured it could not hurt to ask.

Could be an error on Anets end that they closed they wrong account.
They are swamped with these issues right now and mistakes do happen, they are only human after all.

But I agree that they at the very least should give you a reason for why they did it.
I’m getting the impression they just suspend or ban account without so much as a word as to why it happens.

If you have not done so already I suggest you send them a ticket and ask them why it happened.
If its not cleared up you will then have a mark on your account from this incident, and you could then risk a permanent ban should something happen again.

Not saying it would happen, or that you have done anything wrong here, but better to be on the safe side and clear things up so you dont risk should something happen in the future.

That sounds odd.

With all the incidents here lately, I have changed the password on my account no less than twice just to be on the safe side.
Used to be only Alphanumeric, but decided to add some special symbols as well for extra security.

Well thank you for your reply, now if only when they respond to my ticket, they responded to an issue that pertained to my ticket. However, thank you for doing your job correctly.
