Sad thing is, there is no official reply except the one that Gaile posted earlier in the thread. All we are told to do is contact support, and support in this game is little to non existent. When you do finally get a response, the majority of the time the reply is automatic, or has nothing to do with your issue at all, forcing you to wait another 1-2 days for another rep.

Hello , i heard right now from my guild that if we play or walk near a bot we get reported 15 times by the bots and make our account banned is that true ? if it is true i hope Anet is going to hurry and do something about it , I realy dont wanna be banned for mistaken report.

I need confirmation of this quickly please , because i am afraid to go PvE now …

I got banned for botting. tell the truth I have never ran or even looked up how to run a bot. But I do stand idle for some periods of time. Im not using a macro to do this, I just stand in a town not even in the wild. now it does say “extended unattended play” whats that because I only stand for around for maybe 30mins, if this is to long then log me out due to inactive.

I tagged along with bots because it got me through so many parts where there were too many enemies especially Orr. There are so many bots and they have lots uses including sweeping out a heavily contested area or holding contested points. However now i know that bots are caught in a “sweep” im going to have to do it myself the hard way…

When i get my account i will probably not farm in Orr anymore. Reading all these comments is really scary.

Or someone needs to look at how it is possible for them to mistake people for bots when they are OBVIOUSLY not botting. In many cases these “false positives” happen with people who never did anything bot-like and should never be mistaken for bot, so ANet needs to figure out why the person handling the reports is making these huge mistakes.

At this point even when I get my account back I will be too scared to go anywhere at the risk of being mistaken for a bot again
