I recently bought the game and was trying to match the same server as my friends. I accidentally joined Blacktide(Europe) instead of Black Gate(America). I live in America and so do all of my friends. But now I can’t play with any of them due to country restrictions.
It took me a few days of playing the game non stop to realize what I’d done.
I really appreciated the recent sale on the game, but now I’m facing having to pay almost the same amount of money again just to play with my friends.
If there’s anything that could be done I’d greatly appreciate it.
I’ve submitted this as ticket #864326

You can transfer for free if you delete all your characters. Make sure you put anything non-soulbound in your bank first. You will keep all your gold and other wallet items as well. Also keep in mind BlackGate is a pretty popular server and it may be full in which case you won’t be able to transfer there. If that is the case you can pick a different NA server and still guest to BlackGate to play with your friends aside from WvW.

Also, be aware that there is a 7-day cool-down on transfers.
Here is information on transferring: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World#Transferring
Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.
